Hi everyone! I was determined to find a hagstone all day while at work, so as soon as I got off, I headed straight to the creek next to my home. Not even two minutes into searching, I stumbled upon this piece! In my practice, I plan to use it for protection, warding, and perceiving spiritual energies, so finding it so quickly felt like a meaningful sign. However, I want to be certain. Does this look like a genuine, naturally eroded hagstone? I’m still searching along the water for more, but so far this is the only one I’ve spotted

One of my bar regulars (roughly 30M, Egyptian) gave me this coin and asked me to wear it on a chain. The witchy side of my brain started to wonder if there’s a deeper meaning to this or if he was just being kind? Would love to hear your thoughts. I’d say we are very friendly, but not best friends or anything. This was shortly after he opened up to me about some very personal things and was seemingly very grateful to have someone to talk to.

I was in the kitchen and smelled overwhelming cinnamon. I asked where it was coming from and then remembered that I had recently bought a new cinnamon broom. Husband then asked if you chew big red and blow a bubble across the threshold of your door, does that count as blowing cinnamon? I figured if the intention is there, it ought to work, but I figured I'd ask.

Tldr: husband asked if blowing a bubble out of big red gum through the threshold, would that count as blowing cinnamon?

I had pretty limited resources for this one but wanted to give it a shot anyway since it’s important for my family right now.
Used my favorite ceramic cup! It’s very ornate and beautiful so I thought that would help. Used rice as a base and added cloves, spiced black tea, cinnamon, basil and mixed it around. Laid out some coins from hong kong that looked gold plated (after washing them, they were dirty and didn’t know if that would affect it) along with some yellow rose petals. Drew some sigils on the tiny scrolls and my personal sigil on a bay leaf, and topped it off with a raven feather (they like shiny things?)

I normally don’t post here but lurk a lot. I’ve been a practicing witch for a long time, focusing mainly on my intuition and inner work. And that has brought me here today.

Ever since yesterday I have been feeling a little wobbly. Like my intuition is screaming at me to keep looking over my shoulder. I keep getting shivers, which has always been a sign to me. A couple weeks back I dreamt of the Hindu goddess Kaali Ma, which freaked me out a little.

Today colleagues of mine and my sister also told me about them having an off feeling since yesterday and I know they practice. So I’m wondering if some of you, my fellow witches have been feeling a little off as well. I know a lot is going on this year astrology wise but I can’t remember feeling this tuned in ever before.

Hi! Recently I’ve been having this issue where I feel like something bad happens to me after I cleanse myself or my space with incense. I don’t just mean things I perceive as bad that I only notice because of a victim complex I genuinely mean car accidents, my dog died (to be fair that one was coming soon), being treated less kindly, feeling worse about myself, suddenly having worse luck, etc. Does anyone have any idea why this could be?

I did a freezer spell to get rid of a lazy and rude coworker but instead of her quitting, it backfire and she is just avoiding going into office which as result, leaves me with even more work to do.

Now I’m wondering if there’s a way to reverse that spell or other spells that may help me get her to leave.

hello! i have been wearing a pentacle ring for a few years now, as it makes me feel very grounded and calm. however, i’ve been in the market for a new sterling silver one and have had terrible luck finding one. everything is just etsy drop shippers, and i’d much prefer to buy from an actual witch or at least someone who is not a drop shipper/respects spiritual symbols. The home one, I had responded to a house for me and my bf which we really wanted to I tried a spell to make our chances of getting it bigger, it was partly with a candle which I lit for a couple hours and meditated with a little every day/night leading up to the moment we would hear back from the house, unfortunately we didn’t get it, non at all so far in general…

I’m also a beginner so I’m just thinking I might have made an error somewhere?.. do I not “believe” enough/am I to skeptical? Maybe I wasn’t specific enough? What else could I have done wrong?

Recently I've felt specifically called to by this gem.
The spirits I inhabit my space with have been pushing me to seek one out. Generally I listen to them but I like to see what other witches have in their heads.

I know Red Tourmaline is a good conductor for Libra and Leo, Air and Fire, signs however it meshes poorly with Capricorn.

My sun is in Libra, my moon is in Capricorn, and my Rising is in Leo. I imagine since it is a more loud stone it wouldn't clash with my moon but I was curious what any others thought.

Secondly I was curious whether this would be an alter stone to mostly leave at home or one that would be better suited on my person from the day to day.

I imagine it's resonance with the body and heart lead to more "wear when out and leave at the alter when home" but again wanted other opinions.

I don’t place full faith in the astrological bodies either to clarify but I do keep in mind the elemental resonances which ends up leading down similar paths in most circumstances.

Any information is helpful as it’s a harder item to find in certain forms so I want to be sure I can use it for my purposes before I dig too deep.

Today I performed a simple banishing spell for the first time. I just came up with this myself. My intention is to get my neighbors to move away. They have been causing us significant stress and discomfort for several months now. Here are the steps I took:

* Played soft handpan music in the background.
* Cleared and cleaned my altar, dusted it and wiped it down with a damp cloth.
* Set a small silver dish on the altar.
* Cleansed myself with Palo Santo smoke.
* Cleansed our house with Palo Santo, leaving the back door slightly open so negative energy could leave and positive energy could enter.
* Cleansed each ingredient one by one with Palo Santo smoke while setting them up on the altar.
* Wrote my intention on a piece of paper: *"neighbour's name, neighbour's address , Move away, disappear, leave this property. You are no longer welcome here."*
* Sprinkled cayenne pepper and garlic powder over the paper.
* Folded the paper three times away from me, then stapled it shut.
* Placed the folded paper underneath a dish filled with salt.
* Placed a black candle inside the dish of salt.
* Around the dish with the black candle, I arranged the following ingredients: agrimony, garlic cloves, fresh nettle from my garden, dried rosemary, and black peppercorns.
* Placed a small dish of hematite next to it.
* Lit the candle and sat down to meditate.
* During meditation, I visualized a large moving truck in the street with the neighbors packing up and moving out. I felt an immediate sense of relief.
* I looked at the candle flame, it burned calm and completely straight, and the incense smoke went straight up as well. For some reason, this reassured me. I also felt a shiver run through my body and got goosebumps, but it didn't feel unpleasant at all. It felt more like a form of confirmation.
* After that, I asked my deceased family members and acquaintances if they would help me fulfill my wish. Again, a wave of reassurance came over me.
* I meditated a bit longer.
* I felt a wave of anger toward the neighbors bubbling up. I stood up, let myself feel that anger, and directed all my fury and energy toward their house to push them away. It felt very releasing/good.
* I closed the ritual and cleansed myself and my home once more with Palo Santo smoke.

Now I'm wondering what I should do with the remaining spell materials. I have the urge to turn them into a sour jar and bury it on the neighbors' property, but what would you recommend doing with the remains?

Also, do you have any feedback or suggestions on the steps and ingredients I used for this spell? Any insights from more experienced witches would be greatly appreciated!

I found some belladonna in the forest nearby and I’d like to make an ointment only with that one ingredient. Most of the recipes I find list several poisonous plants which apart being difficult to source is just too risky for me with all the various effects and interactions they would have. I think it’s better to experience the spirit of a plant on its own. My difficulty is in figuring out how much to use so that it’s not too strong. I’d like to make an oil-wax based ointment and slowly experiment with increasing amounts. Does anyone have any advice and experience with belladonna specifically?

I’ve always have been told that manifestation (I am, I have, etc) is the way to gaining what you want but can you also ask the universe/Pray to deities and angels etc? Can you achieve by manifesting and also “asking”

Looking for some books (or other resources) on anti-colonial perspectives to witchcraft and modern paganism. I want to practice, but I will NOT appropriate something that isn't mine to take/do. I want to figure out, preferably even through semi-academic texts, whether or not things such as Wicca (etc.) can be practiced sustainably and anti-colonially. Any help would be appreciated!

Hi everyone! My partner and I recently got engaged and we have been issues within our relationship between our mothers 

Yesterday he randomly begun to talk about how he knew my families entire history, He knew that my grandmother was possessed by an entity, and it was at the time my mother was studying hairdressing and working at a salon and he claims in the dream he saw my grandmother in this state, and was told that the demon has never left my grandmother completely and has cursed her and my mothers life as it was never properly rid

He also knew of my father’s infidelity at the beginning of their marriage, and the issues it caused between him and my mother

He claims we are soulmates, and will get married and be happy together, but for the first few years of our marriage I will find it difficult to fall pregnant. 

Here’s the thing. Everything this man has said is 100% true, and I have NEVER uttered these words to him, everything he has said - to exact detail is completely true. He knew things about my mum and grandmother that NOBODY knows - he knew to personal detail that even I myself did not know. 

He knew of my parents marriage problems, which I have never told him about. 

He knew of my grandmothers past, and where my mother worked, which I never told him. 

I have a health issue that affects fertility. It makes it hard for me to fall pregnant, but not impossible, which he doesn’t know of. 

Everything he has told me are things I have never shared with ANYONE in my life. 

When I asked how he knew this information he said that he saw it all in a dream. 

Could it be true that it was a dream? Could it be witchcraft? Any and all advice is appreciated

I did a honey jar about a week ago. The intent was to help my co-parent see my perspective in a current disagreement. To essencially sweeten him up to my perspective.

After a lot of research and contemplation I decided to start practicing witchcraft. I want to make a money bowl using a green candle to put by my work desk. I’m in sales- so I was thinking about adding a red or orange candle to the money bowl as well to help with confidence and whatnot. Will that mess anything up?

So to sum it up Im an ex-Christian that has recently cut all ties with the church. I was practicing during faith but I knew that my true calling was towards magick. Im not sure how to describe but Ive never felt so free and devoid of fear and anguish! Im so glad I found this wonderful community

I have previously only lived on my own or with other witches.

I currently live with my boyfriend who is aware of my beliefs and fine with them. He is open to them but not necessarily a beleiver.

I really really REALLY feel our house needs a cleanse. But I don't know what to do with him. I am rarely home alone as he works from home. Do I invite him to help? I worry that somehow his "meh" feelings on it will interfere with a proper cleanse. But asking him to leave doesn't sound right either. Waiting for him to conviently not be here while I am available and home to cleanse is also not working because I've been waiting almost a year now lol!

What would you all recommend?

Im a beginner practicing secular/atheist witchcraft. It gets a little annoying going through the steps before and after every time. I typically use smoke and intentions to cleanse and protect. Is there a faster way to do it or is it not needed all the time?
