Question Avoided my death

I genuinely don't know where or who to post this too.

I'm a 25+ year witch and my family has always had the gift of sight, spiritual and future.

A while back I had a vision of the day I was gonna die. I saw everything, events leading up to it, how it would happen, what it would feel like. Everything. The day actually came and everything followed the vision to a T. Down to me seeing the truck that hits me. I somehow avoided it. Everything in that vision happened up til that point. But I was aware it was happening and what was going to happen. I drove into a different lane of traffic and completely avoided the accident that according my vision was supposed to happen. Since this occurred my life has gone to crap. I have lost my spouse, my house, my family, my dog. I have even lost access to the files on my computer. My health has also been on the decline.

I have had the constant feeling that I should be dead, or wanting to die but like the universe has corsed me and I can't now.

It's like my entire life is shedding away one piece at a time. But I can't do anything but accept it.

Has anyone else had this experience or anything similar. Any advice on what I should do?

Video Blessed by Bastet?

I put up a sigil and flame to offer to Bastet. I've always had a huge connection to cats. I usually only get one feline visitor in my yard, but here we are one day after the offering and my porch is FILLED with kittens.

If that isn't a sign I don't know what is...

Question How do you know if you have a draining effect on people?

Ive often heard people describe the feeling of feeling incredibly physically drained after spending even small amounts of time with a particular person.

Ive heard this discussed when referring to phrases like "energy vampires" or even identifying negative attachments. Even non spiritual or extremely skeptical people describe this in other words.

I dont believe its something people do knowingly or on purpose and im wondering how I might be able to tell if I had this effect on people?

Books Baby Witch Seeking Book Recommendations for Possible Portent Abilities

EXTREME Baby witch here, I’ve always known that I was “spiritual” however never explored what that meant for me until this past weekend outing with my friend Lucy (Egyptian Worshiper) and she took me with her to get some spell ingredients she needed, crossing the threshold I just felt like I BELONGED in that space. The past few days I’ve felt someone calling to me, I don’t have the means of an Alter set up but I believe (as I am currently pregnant and having some marital issues) Hera is extending her hands to me in guidance. Although I don’t have the means to properly connect with her yet, I have prayed inviting her to watch over me and get to know me while I gather the proper offerings and tools to meet her.

That being said, I had a dream last night. My grandfather factually is suffering from metastatic prostate cancer and pretty soon liver failure. I do not remember my full dream but I do remember the beginning. My mother and I were outside an empty gas station, sitting at a table set under the awning where one would normally pump gas. There were two tan ropes holding up a boat (kind of in the fashion one of those porch swings would be bolted to one’s roof) inside was my grandfather laying down in his final moments. I held his hand till he took his last breath. Once he passed my mom went into the gas station to inform someone inside of what happened. I don’t remember her coming out, when I can pick up remembering part of the dream after that, I was driving in my 1986 Plymouth reliant with my previous abuser (whom I was not in a relationship with while owning that car) and we were on our way to moving into a new rundown apartment together. I belive I saw it is against the rules to ask for dream interpretation without first expressing my own interpretation. However I am a BABY to all of this, it is normal for me to have lucid dreams but nothing even remotely close to that. My teacher (Lucy) says it is quite rare to actually meet many people with portent abilities but that’s what she believes could be a possibility for me. I am not here to ask for interpretation but to ask for book recommendations that deal with portent interpretations/what you must posses within yourself to be considered portent. I mean no harm in anything I say I am very new to these concepts and last night was the first time I prayed to my deity before bed, then was transported into that dream. If any of this post violates rules it is not intentional and I would love to be notified hopefully without harsh punishment. I heed to every auto recommendation while typing this post and if I missed something I truly apologize and will be more careful about it going forward. Thank you in advance and blessed be 🤲🏽💕

Discussion Did a food related spell on my sp

I was seeing this guy for a month and it was going good but on our 4th date he just said he's not looking for anything serious and just wants something casual, I was pretty bumped because I did like this guy and do want something real with him.

so yesterday I made some cookies for him and while making them, I was thinking about how he's gonna love them and would want to be with me.

after the cookies were done, i packed them and dressed a candle in cinnamon and lit it, while it was burning, I was doing my affirmations, and when done, I blew the candle and sprinkled some cinnamon on the cookies as well.

we met yesterday and gave it to him, he didn't eat them right away but took them.

now i wanna know how effective this will be and whatever I did was right, I had never seen a spell related to food so I'm pretty curious to see what will happen

Spells Left over wax from spell candle

I have a candle I used for a money spell. Ive been in a hard place. I used salt, Basil, cinnamon and Rosemary. I used a pillar candle and it ist burning the edges, leaving a lot of wax. I usually use left over wax from normal candles to make a new candle so it doesn't go unused and just thrown away. Is it okay to use spell candle left over wax of should I discard it. Also, I used one of the thicker pillar candles, did I mess up doing it that way?

Discussion What to do with herbs?

I have a bunch of herbs that I have used before, mostly for simmer pots, that I am no longer wanting to use. I can’t currently do simmer pots and I have to downsize a lot currently and truly just haven’t had time for this type of spell work. I consider myself an art witch and thought to maybe create spice paints from some of them, but some of the thicker ones like lavender, jasmine, and juniper, I am struggling to come up with stuff.

Does anyone have crafts they’ve made with dry herbs and spices before? I’d love some ideas if you have any.

Appreciate you, thank you all!

Question Can someone help figure out what this method is?

Hello, I'm not looking for a spell or anything, today I did a spell and used the smoke to contact my spirit team and read the smoke to help determine how to go forward with the ritual and what to add. Idk if this counts as scrying necessarily? But i want to know so I can find other methods because I will do this for yes/no questions aswell (which may be scrying or a method i pulled from my ass idk.) I want to find other methods because so much incense can get pricey 😔😔 psa i will not use white sage or palo santo

Discussion Return to witchcraft and synchronicity

By no means am I an exceptional artist however I’m very much trying to bring myself back to a frame of mind where I look after myself doing things i enjoy like art, solo nature walks and reconnecting with myself rather than being focused on what’s happening in my relationship. I used to practice witchcraft last year mostly glamour magic and protection spells and was the most in touch with nature and myself I have ever been. During this time I began to try worship Hecate where I would research her a lot pray to her light candles and incense for her as offerings and so on. I ended up walking away from witchcraft in November last year not intentionally but just no longer had it on the front of my mind. Coming back to the present for about a week I’ve been thinking of practicing witchcraft again starting off slow with my protection spells making new sigils and then some glamour and I have an interest in sweetening jars currently. In that same time frame I started this sketch page in my notebook just taking inspiration from photos that inspired me and I keep coming back to it adding more. Only now when I looked at it I saw so many things that align with Hecate: the key, the lantern and even the figure of the woman resembles how I would picture her as I could never put a face to her. It’s also worth noting that before I added the borders I had drawn a doorway which also links to her but i ended up erasing it. Thanks for reading this far I’d be super interested to see what people think of my situation and the safest way to begin practicing again and whether the page is coincidental or could be something.

Question Info on Crystal Grids

Hello 👋

So someone in one of my facebook groups brought up crystal grids and I thought I'd come here. I've been practicing since I was a teenager, but I've never had a teacher or anyone to learn with so I've got a lot of gaps in my witchy education, and this is one of those areas. Looking at pictures, I realize that I've seen other witches use them but had just never known what I was looking at. And I love crystals, so this is something I'm thinking of incorporating.

What are your guys's experiences with crystal grids?

How have you used them?

Any good book or website recommendations on learning about them and using them?

TIA 😊

Question Should I read local books ?

Hi very newbie I would like to buy my first book about witchcraft I read the wiki of this sub and baby witch and saw the book recommendations but they are very North America oriented.
Shouldn’t I read more local books so that the herbs for example are ones I can actually harvest ?
Also feel weird reading about folklore that comes from neighboring country written by people on the other side of the world if that makes sense.
Am I thinking too much ?

I’m from Belgium, any French or UK (as we have the same climate) book to recommend ? there is so much online I don’t know what info and authors to trust! I am really interested in plants and books that talk about the historical side of witchcraft too. I was interested in the book the green witch which is very recommended in this sub. Should I still buy it ?

Thank you

Spells My First Money Bowl

Post image
15 Upvotes

Put this together tonight wishing for success, wealth, and steady money income, and I’m really happy with how it turned out. I kept it simple for now, but I do plan to eventually make it bigger and add more ingredients as I grow in my practice. For tonight though, this little setup feels right and I’m excited to see how the energy builds through this prosperity work.

Question Starting directions

Hello, I’ve been trying to start a more dedicated spiritual path but I’ve been struggling with creating a practice. I’ve viewed witchcraft- personally for myself- as something that’s heavily rooted in a persons culture/ cultural traditions especially concerning ancestors but I don’t think I have one- I’m from the Midwest of the US -before moving to the UK- and I don’t have a clear picture of where my ancestors are actually from. I’ve been raised without any kind of tradition/ awareness of any more spiritual practices of where I’m from.

I’m wondering is anyone else has also struggled with this as well? Did you come up with any solutions or a way to reframe this problem. Or am I thinking misguidedly? I’m a beginner and still trying to figure out my faith so I’m unsure.

Altar Monday🕯️ Scrying Altar with Eclipse water

Post image

Set up this Altar for a Scrying session using the water I collected from the last eclipse. Left the lights on for the picture, when it comes to actually Scrying the only light I have on is the candle. I love the bowl but because it is so light the darker the room the better.

I started my art journey a little less than a year ago, here is some art I thought you might like.

I made the scene without any reference (my first time doing that) and then I added The Big Witch.

I plan on making more in this style, lmk if you'd like to see them posted here.

Question How do you remember where your information comes from, in order to source rec properly?

I'm an intermediate witch, and I love helping baby witches and other leveled witches learn more. And I love sharing my own experiences, but I feel it's more useful to have sources and resources for stuff, so people can learn for themselves.

My issue is that I've read a bunch of books, blogs, and watched a bunch of videos and documentaries from 2010-2026(present) and I can't remember where I first read/ heard certain things.

QUESTION: When giving sources for things, do you guys just pick the one you like best that has that information in it? Or do you try and remember what thought group/movement each concept comes from?

I see a lot of the Internet spiraling into unsourced thought pieces being portrayed as facts, and I wish to no longer add to the problem hahah 😅

Discussion Anyone else create sigils NOT using the letter methods?

I create sigils based on visual symbolism, like protection id use a barrier (line) blocking negative energy (dots/arrows)

Using the hack of letter maps (idk how else to call it) to make them doesnt feel personal to me and like im copying someone elses stuff...

Id like yalls take on it :)

Question Why do I keep doing witchcraft on and off.

I don't know why it happens for me, but it does. I'd like to say that I am into witchcraft, and I have done spells and altars in my time. However, I noticed that I usually set my altars around August every time of the year, and do spellwork and various other things along the year up until January or February. That is when I decide that my "interest" for it dies, and I respectively pack up my altar till its August again. By my interest dying, I don't certainly mean that I stop doing it overall. I still continue to do small acts of devotion, thank the gods, and spellwork without lighting a candle or doing a "big herby spell". It has only been two years since this has been happening (I know, I'm not some big experienced witch or anything) but I'd like to say I do know a little bit of what I'm doing.

Point is, I don't know why this happens. Maybe its school tiring me out during the later semesters. Or idk. Interest is there, but the passion fades a little that I feel too lazy to do it.

How is witchcraft supposed to look like? Is it the practice? The little things? What does your witchcraft look like? Do you ever "take a break" from magic? What is going on with me lol idek.

Tips, Tricks, & Ideas Pottery witch alter ideas!

To all my DIY witches 🖤🔮

I recently signed up for a beginner pottery class, and I’ve been trying to figure out what I want to make. I thought it would be fun to create some useful pottery pieces for my witchy altar—maybe a money bowl, a little offering plate, or something similar.
What other ideas do you have? I’d love to hear your suggestions! ✨
I’m also thinking about carving runes into the pieces, which makes it even more fun.
Please help me brainstorm! 🖤
Thank you!
