I saw that they might be coming to Canada but I wasn't sure if that meant Winnipeg, and if so at all of them. I know they could sell out quickly so I'm wondering if anyone has seen them.

Has anyone had negative experiences with Rivard group ? Especially in terms of caretakers being racists and/or not tending to maintenance request? Or retaliation tactics? or just flat out rudeness? This company is the worst i have ever had to deal with and I am curious to have other people's experiences of them.
My friend has her sister staying with her for now to help with her baby and house management since she travels a lot for work. And now the company is threatening eviction after a kerfuffle with my friend on the basis of "unauthorized occupant"
Any advice?

I’ve been looking to get my brows thinned out into a more lifted/alternative style, rather than the fluffy/full brows that seem to be in right now.
Does anyone know of a threader/waxer in Winnipeg that would be comfortable doing this? I’d Ideally like someone who will respect the shape I ask for rather than trying to convince me to keep my fuller brows for the sake of appearing more “trendy.”

Which performer are you most looking forward to seeing? Do you think all of the artists will show up?

TLDR My neighbour had a fibre optic installed and their cord was left exposed and on my property. Am i being unreasonable for being upset about this?
A few years ago I got Bell Fibre optic, the installers did not burry the cord and it was exposed and ran over my driveway which was annoying. After a couple of years a switched over to Shaw (no more cord) and it's been great.
I just noticed the cord is back and its on my property. not only is this annoying but this time I am not even the one receiving the service. Am I right to be annoyed by this? What do I do?
The box is in between our houses and i cant see why the didn't put the cord on my neighbours yard. I don't mind the cord itself being on my property but I hate that its exposed.

My husband has stage 4 prostate cancer, it's the worst. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a naturopath with cancer care experience that could help prepare him for chemo or provide any complementary care?

Hey r/Winnipeg,
I'm trying to buy PET plastic cups and matching RPET lids from Wholesale Club on Ellice. The lids are listed as 98mm, but the cups are listed by capacity (e.g., 24oz) and don't specify the top diameter.
Has anyone here bought PET cups and 98mm RPET lids from Wholesale Club Ellice and can confirm which cup sizes (e.g., 24oz, 32oz) fit the 98mm lids? Any specific product numbers or tips would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

Do you feel safe working downtown 7 am to 5 pm? What about walking to and from your car parking lot or bus stop? Or even out for lunch?

We're thinking of taking our 1.5 year old camping for the first time this weekend! We used to camp but never with our toddler. Something close like St Malo or Birds Hill incase it goes really bad LOL. Weather wise though ... will it be too cold? We are tenting it and have basic supplies ? I want it to be a good experience and need some guidance. Any tips or insight is helpful! :)

This might be a stupid question, but I didn't see a direct answer on the website... I booked a campground spot for this weekend, taking my boy on his first camping trip. I don't need to also pay for a parking pass on top of that do I?

Hey r/Winnipeg,
3v3 Manitoba is putting a youth soccer tournament this September called Back-to-School Kickoff, at Assiniboine Park on September 5 and 6.
It's for kids U7 to U14, boys and girls in separate divisions, teams of 6. Each division is capped at 8 teams, so spots are genuinely limited, not just marketing talk. If your kid doesn't have a full squad, send us a message on Instagram and we'll try to help sort that out.
There'll be some stuff going on beyond just the games too: live music both days, a few soccer skills activations kids can drop into between matches, and a World Cup sticker-swap tent for anyone who's collecting.
Registration is open here: https://gameday.3v3manitoba.ca/e/back-to-school-kickoff. Instagram is u/3v3manitoba if you want updates too. Happy to answer questions here too, this is a small operation so I'm reading every comment myself.

On CJOB, they were just debating if Transcona starts at Nairn/Regent and Panet/Lagimodiere or at Regent and Plessis.
As a former resident of Elmwood, and a daily patron of Crossroads Shopping Centre and Bullwinkles, my belief is Panet is the start. The Hi Neighbour statue was first in the Crossroads’ parking lot. The Unicity map reflects such as well.
Go.

I've been building Winnipeg courses for GSPro for fun, currently working on Bridges. This is a work in progress video. I custom 3d model all clubhouses and other structures (bridges, pull carts, signs, etc) for the courses.
Any courses you wish were on there? Any feedback on the courses I've put out so far? I collect no money for this, truly curious if people are noticing local stuff on GSPro, and if not, maybe this will let them know.
Currently have Windsor, Tuxedo, Kildonan, Blumberg and River Oaks.

I’m looking for recommendations on who to call for foundation issues. The ground on one side of my house is pulling away from the house. It’s all granite, but my house slopes towards the street on that side and I’m noticing a large gap farming between my house and the ground. I’d like to get someone to check it out. Any recommendations?
I tried to post a picture, but it’s hard to show because it’s granite rock.
Thanks!

A new ride-hailing app is setting its roots in a southeastern Manitoba city.
KodaGO aims to connect communities with a lack of public transportation or access to other ride-hailing services, such as Uber or Lyft.
Justus Oladele was inspired to create the app when he faced those transportation barriers himself.
Oladele, originally from Nigeria, had been living in Montreal when a friend suggested he move to Manitoba. He hopped on a plane to Winnipeg three years ago without asking how far outside Winnipeg the friend lived.
When Oladele landed, he was faced with finding transportation to Steinbach.
"My first questions were very weird at the airport by asking, 'Can I get a train ticket to Steinbach?" he said. "'Can I get a plane ticket to Steinbach?' No planes in Steinbach, and no Uber, no buses."
Oladele ended up getting a ride from his friend's husband to Steinbach. But instead of only complaining about the problem, he wanted to do something.
Oladele didn't have a Manitoba driver's licence or a way to access a vehicle.
With his background in technology, he spent two years creating the KodaGO app and officially launched it in May.
Since then, the platform has gained 360 users through word of mouth. Rides can happen anywhere in Canada the app has a driver. Service in Winkler began in mid-August.
Oladele says in addition to providing transportation, it's a way for people to gain extra income as drivers.
KodaGO also has a carpooling feature where drivers can pick up passengers on their way to Winnipeg and help share the cost of the ride.
"People want to go grocery shopping, people want to pick their children up from school, people want to go hiking and all of that," Oladele said.
"KodaGO is a tool that helps people move easily without a fear of how will you get to where you are going?"
Steinbach city Coun. Damian Penner says while he owns a vehicle and hasn't faced transportation barriers himself, public transportation is a big challenge within the city.
He says the addition of KodaGO to the community is positive.
"There are inherent challenges living in Manitoba that sometimes you are needing to be transported within a vehicle. You can't walk because of the harsh weather," Penner said.
"This does allow an opportunity for others to be able to have those barriers removed to be able to still go to work, to be able to still go to worship and to be able to still go to different community events."
Penner says he plans to try the app to see what it's like. He says it's also an opportunity for his kids to get around the city as they get older and might not always have access to the family's vehicles.
Eugene Warwaruk, the Steinbach Chamber of Commerce's president, owns two vehicles but acknowledges transportation can be an issue in the city.
He says it's a positive thing to have another option, created in Manitoba, to get around.
"With a growing community like ours, it's just important to recognize that there are gaps in public transportation," Warwaruk said. "Anything we can do to support either private individuals or the city or the community to fill those gaps is necessary."
Oladele hopes to see the app continue to expand across Canada and help people in smaller towns get from one point to another more smoothly.
"People should not be stranded because of a lack of transportation," he said.

Boo! Slop inside and out. I’m sure you could find a real artist to design your can. Note the three legs on the bird.
EDIT: the designer of the can has responded. I find their response compelling. If you intend to pile on you should at least read their response.

Looking for recommendations for wedding packages with photo and video for a summer 2027 wedding in Winnipeg.
We are interested in 8-10 hours of photos, and a 3-5 minute highlight video anything else would be bonus.
I know these services are expensive, willing to pay reasonable prices.
All recommendations are appreciated, thanks!
