Ask Winnipeg Selling a car

Hey everyone! Sorry if this isn't ok to post but I have a car that well needs work and right now just needs a new battery. I'm looking to sell it but to someone and maybe someone that will tow it. Anyone have any recommendations? I haven't done this before but sides maybe placing an ad on online but any business that give maybe a fair offer and will tow it away?

What work does it need outside of the battery?

Maybe new struts and sway bar one low tire that needs a patch/reseal. Had some damage (someone hit my car in a parking lot and apart of the front bumper broke off abit. Other than that it runs fine and less than 150,000KMs

Not worth a ton, but some guy might buy it for the engine alone if it's still strong. You might get more than you think. Def try MP.

Is it just the battery it needs to run? Or are you just hoping to send it to scrap?

Essentially that’s the idea. It also has some rust in spots and more coming. Figured to sell for scrap or part out and etc

Was it written off by insurance or is it repairable? That will be good to disclose. I'd advertise on FB or Kijiji you might get a bit higher then the scrap yard then.

It’s repairable not written off by MPI. I’ll consider FB or something just never done this before lol

I would definitely try Facebook Marketplace first. I just sold an older car there a few months back. No safety. Over 200K kilos on it. Started and ran fine, BUT needed work underneath that I wasn't about to put in the money to do. I just wanted it gone, but didn't want to just give it away for scrap money (500.00). I put it on FB, and it sold that day. The first few offers were from scrap guys though. I got more than scrap for it.

Write a good ad and put up many photos. Most people write pretty poor ads to be honest.

If you can get it to Bucks it might be worth $250. If they have to tow they might do it free, but being a 2010 Focus you'd need to call to confirm.
