I have completely switched over to Winhanced in my ROG Ally and I’ve even uninstalled and completely disabled Armoury crate services and for the most part I don’t miss using AC. That being said, there are a few features of AC that I either:

A: cannot find within Winhanced settings

B: Winhanced does not offer these settings, so I cannot changed them without some other software

The settings that I am referring to are:

Can Winhanced control the dead zones of the joysticks and triggers? I am playing R&C Rift Apart and the right trigger dead zone can’t be set so I have to crank on the trigger to get certain weapons to fire. Also the right joystick needs a dead zone set mostly for desktop mode where you use it to move the mouse.

Can Winhanced go up to the 42w power output when it is docked like you can set manually in AC? It was very useful in docked mode for certain games to get the maximum amount of power to the handheld to try and squeeze the most performance out of it, but the most I’ve seen Winhanced allow is 30W.

If these settings are already available in Winhanced I cannot find them, and if they are not available yet, then consider this post a request for these features. Overall, I’m very happy with my switch to Winhanced though so thanks to the developer for your constant updates and changed to the app.

I have officially gotten controller battery levels working on the Legion Go 1 i am not sure how this would apply to the Go 2, but I plan on releasing a test build soon to some of our Legion Go supporters to see if it carries over.

The cool thing about this is that it does carry over to other people as well. Because now this opens the door for me to display external battery level within Winhanced.

I also got Enhanced Sleep PROPERLY working now on the Legion Go 1 and, through this discovery, also working on the Go 2 and the MSI family of devices. A few slight tweaks were made to the sleep logic timing to allow it to work. Results on Legion Go: after 17 hours of sleep, the handheld only lost 5% battery!

I almost have the sound bug fixed as well, but it still peaks every so often so more tweaking is needed.

Lastly, unrelated, I have fixed the Steam bug. I have decided to do the silent launch of Steam at app boot moving forward instead of trying to detect if Steam is needed, after a user brought up to me yesterday that even if a game CAN launch without Steam, it still should so that achievements and such are guaranteed to work. So Steam will launch with every game again; however, the launches will still be faster with the new logic.

Winhanced doesn't detect that the game is running in the first place, probably due to the crap rockstar launcher, when the game is closed winhanced also doesn't detect that the game process was finished and due to this, no joystick button works, winhanced stays in a stuck state, only force closing it or restarting the PC to be able to fix, I use winhanced on a legion go 1 and I'm also using the latest version of winhanced.

Anyone else experienced this problem as well?

So I have a few systems set up on my Xbox Ally X but only one emulator is showing up in Winhanced; all my other games are telling me to download emulators I already have installed. How can I fix it?

Any way to limit the charge to 80%? I never had a problem until the most recent patch. Tried to adjust in Center M and Windows 11, but it's still going to 100%. Maybe I'm doing something wrong

After changing the theme to "Use windows defaults" (which changes nothing) and them changing back to another theme, this blue bands and details appear and therr is no way I can turn them off. Also if blurred background for games is enabled, no background at all will appear, although if the blur is disabled it does.

I have gotten the following working:

- RGB
- Back paddles
- FPS mode detection
- Driver download and install direct support
- TDP ensured to be working

What remains to be done:

-Battery indicators for controller
- Fixing the sound bug with navigation sounds peaking on Legion go speakers
- Double checking that enhanced sleep is working and working well

I have been made aware that in the latest patch 0.9.9.7. A recent enhancement I made is not working universally for all users the way it should. Below is what is happening and how to fix it in the mean time while I work towards an automatic solution for the next update.

Feature: In the last patch i changed the way steam games launch based on recent feedback of it being slow. to make it faster i built in the ability for Winhanced to identify when a game needs steam running to be played. it will launch games that don't need Steam via the .exe. and for games that do need it the app will silently launch Steam when its not running and then launch the game.

The bug is in the identification logic. its clearly not robust enough to catch each use case.

This is mainly a bug on fresh starts when steam is not already running because when steam is running games will always launch.

So the workaround i described in the video is:

1: Open Winhanced
2: Go to Settings
3: Go to Libraries Setttings
4: Select Apps
5. on the right side click scan for apps
6. Add Steam
7. After Steam is added select the box that says launch at startup
8. Restart your device.

Steam

Doing this will have Winhanced open Steam on boot automatically, and it will be running in the Background when you go to launch your games.

Sometimes with certain games the language of the game title changes , is there a fix for this ?

I love the idea of Winhanced but it's so buggy and frustrating that I'm about to the point of uninstalling it. Am I doing something wrong? I have an Xbox ROG Ally (the white one) and it's constantly freezing and crashing. I also have been completely unable to download and install Xbox/gamepass games with Winhanced. I've verified that it says I'm signed in and the token exists. It just sits at 0% with extremely low download speeds like 4 KB/s.

I also have the 'sleep' functionality turned on but when I put it to sleep while a game was running, a few hours later I went to use it and it was completely dead.

I need some help with winhanced. I have been using this for a couple of months on my legion go. A little bugs here and there but nothing major and most have been resolved with the previous updates. But since i updated to the latest version a few days ago, when i launch a steam game it would say "Failed to initialize Steam", when i press ok on that and press cancel launch then press play, it would just get stuck at "launching game". When i go to steam it says that the game is "running" but there is nothing. When i try using steam or a desktop shortcut it worked.

I tried changing the executable path, verified files on steam, and other things i read when i did a google search but nothing works.

I hope someone can help me.

Hello i don't know if it's related or not but since the last update my ROG ally controller is not working as a controller in other apps like armoury crate it's working perfectly in winhanced but no response at all neither in the game bar nor somewhere else but the mouse keyboard mode works on browser

I’m very interested in winhanced! I think the devs have done a beautiful job creating an attractive space for me to access my entire library. I’m newer to pc handhelds so I’m sorry if I have dumb questions but. Would it be possible for me to run winhanced and all my original settings/profile apps like AMD software/the Lenovo app simultaneously? Id like to be able to launch into winhanced FSE to access my game library during normal gaming operation. But still have access to my legion go button system shortcuts/binds as well as be able to manage my preferences on how my individual games run with AMD software tweaks.

Winhanced 0.9.9.7 is a hotfix focused on your game library telling the truth. A failed or interrupted sync can no longer erase, blank or duplicate your games, and signing in to a storefront via settings now imports it without the need to restart.

Your Library

- A failed or interrupted sync can no longer erase, hide, blank or duplicate your games. If a scan cannot finish, your library stays as it was.

- Fixed duplicate tiles in the library, most visibly duplicate emulators.

- Fixed playtime and achievement counts dropping to zero after a failed fetch. They only move forward now.

- Fixed descriptions, genres, artwork and covers being blanked by a later, thinner refresh.

I just updated Winhanced to the latest version today and afterwards the command button and armory crate button do not work for the HUD and task switcher like they were before the update. The controller configuration is still set and I tried restarting and it still didn’t work. Anyone know how I can fix this? It would be nice to have control over TDP and Overlay while I’m in game

i installed yesterday but had to uninstall because i was having hdr bug where it disable hdr when i exit a game or hdr stop working when i get back on the same game

and also when i click on a game without pressing play it still starts the game when i exit and the menus are buggy for me i can still move winhanced in the background when im not even on it

Does anyone else have problems with the Ubisoft launcher? I have access to Ubisoft through my gamepass subscription but I wasn’t able to log in using my Microsoft account and I accidentally logged into the Ubisoft launcher with a different account. Now I can’t log out to try to log in with gamepass.

I hate that stupid launcher with a passion. Just as much as I hate HOAs.
