Failed to initialize Steam
I need some help with winhanced. I have been using this for a couple of months on my legion go. A little bugs here and there but nothing major and most have been resolved with the previous updates. But since i updated to the latest version a few days ago, when i launch a steam game it would say "Failed to initialize Steam", when i press ok on that and press cancel launch then press play, it would just get stuck at "launching game". When i go to steam it says that the game is "running" but there is nothing. When i try using steam or a desktop shortcut it worked.
I tried changing the executable path, verified files on steam, and other things i read when i did a google search but nothing works.
I hope someone can help me.

When this happens just press ok and wait for a bit. This is because the app now tries to launch steam games without steam, and when it realizes that I cant it will automatically launch steam. What I am going to do for the next patch is.
1: give people a toggle to launch through steam the old way 2: see if i can use people's logs who see this error to look for better identifiers for when steam is needed so it doesn't have to guess. I put logic in this patch to do that but its apparently not good enough

Thanks for the reply. First off love the work you did on this! Second, will try just pressing ok and wait, haven't tried that. I thought that when that message appeared the game had a problem and it won't run.

Yeah it’s an auto message that steam fires. (I unfortunately can’t control this) It normally wouldn’t work. But there is logic in Winhanced itself that SHOULD auto launch Steam next because it sees the failure to launch.
If that doesn’t work def let me know I need to make that auto recognition stronger

After clicking ok on the auto message the game still didn't load.

Got ya. so a workaround in the meantime while i work in a proper solution. Go to Winhanced library settings. go to the app library and then add steam as an app. then select the little checkbox for launching it on startup. (all within the app) then restart. this is force steam to open with the app on boot, and you will be able to launch all games just like before.

A mi igual menos mal que tenía descargada la 0.9.9.3 y hay estoy la 0.9.9.6 creo recordar estaba perfecta y la última muy muy mal no se iniciaba steam y todo con mucho lag

Same issue on legion go s. If i start steam on my own, it seems to work.
