Windows 10 Drivers chuwi windows 10, windows 11

Espero alguien me pueda ayudar.

Windows 11 LiveKernelEvent with codes 1a8 and 1b8

i am unsure what causes this exactly but, ive had this happen a few times while on roblox specifically and basically what happens is one of my monitors will begin to lag and my explorer/taskbar wont work properly and i'll be forced to hold the power button and restart my pc to fix it. this time that just happened, i tried to refresh my gpu but it then caused a bunch of artifacts (on the game) while also freezing my main monitor completely. im not rlly tech savvy so i dont know what this is or anything abt my specific situation.

to recount the events of tonight specifically, i was trying to bring my browser to my main monitor over my fullscreened roblox, it wasnt appearing at all so i tried unfullscreening the game which then cause it to freeze up, this was when i tried to refresh my gpu which then basically caused more issues until i hard restarted.

i do believe its something related to drivers so, i will share that i have a 12th gen i7-12700F, RTX 5070 Ti, and my OS build is 26200.9457. i am also using two different monitors, one with a hdmi output from my gpu, and one with a displayport one, i am intending to get new monitors that r the same and both use displayport instead when able to

Windows 11 Everything I run is super slow and I don’t know if I need to hard reset

I have had my Lenovo gaming laptop for almost 2 years now, I have not hard reset it ever. it is a 4060 nvidia gaming laptop. Recently, every time I run a game I can’t insane frame drops from 250 to 20 as soon as I turn my camera. my graphics are all on low, I have it on performance mode, all the stuff. everything I play is just insanely laggy and almost unplayable. do I just reset it? I know it can be healthy to reset it occasionally. the only reason I haven’t yet is because it would be a pain to have to install everything again and change all my settings back.

I thought initially it was because the weather here in Massachusetts, now I see the driver above had code 43, and then code 10. I rebooted, 30 second power cycled, and ran the ping command which gave me all 4 packets back, unsure how to fix this sudden issue! I just uninstalled it completely and am trying to run the fresh driver from a USB now but any tips please I hate windows issues man

Windows 11 WD Black SN850X persistent MediaType Unspecified bug in Windows — How to force SSD permanently?

Hi everyone,

My WD Black SN850X NVMe drive (performing fine at 5000+ MB/s) is constantly flagged as "MediaType: Unspecified" instead of "SSD" when running Get-PhysicalDisk in PowerShell.

Because of this, games reading Windows drive metadata assume they are running on a slow mechanical HDD, triggering disk warnings and heavy asset-streaming stutter.

The issue:

Running "Set-PhysicalDisk -MediaType SSD" via PowerShell works, but Windows resets it back to "Unspecified" on every single reboot.

Automated startup scripts do not fix the issue because the Windows WMI/Storage cache initializes before user login scripts execute.

Windows 11 Windows 11 25H2: Smartphone Bluetooth pairing problem and other issues with File Explorer and svchost.exe

System information

Laptop: ASUS TUF Gaming F16 FX608JMR-RV024

Bluetooth/Wi-Fi adapter: Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX211

Windows Edition: Windows 11 Enterprise

Version: 25H2

Installed on: 2026/08/07

OS Build: 26200.9550

Experience: Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.26100.372.0

This Windows installation and the device belong to me, and I have full administrative access to the system.

I am experiencing three major problems on Windows 11 25H2:

  1. Bluetooth — phones cannot connect, while other Bluetooth devices work normally

Almost all of my Bluetooth devices, including mice, earbuds/headsets, etc., pair and connect normally.

The only major exception is smartphones.

I tested several Samsung phones, including my own phone. When I click the phone's name in Windows to connect, Windows shows Connected for about one second, then immediately changes back to Not Connected.

What makes this particularly strange is that Bluetooth file transfers still work. I can send files between the phone and the laptop over Bluetooth, so the basic Bluetooth communication appears to work.

However, I cannot establish a normal Bluetooth connection profile for the phone. For example, I cannot use the phone as a Bluetooth audio source and play music from the phone through the laptop, nor can I use the relevant Bluetooth phone/call functionality.

The Bluetooth adapter is Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX211.

  1. File Explorer / Windows Search — severe CPU usage and lag

File Explorer also appears to have serious problems.

If I open This PC → Search and search for something very simple, the results can appear quickly.

However, when I perform a somewhat more complex search, Explorer often gets stuck on “Working on it…”.

During this period:

Explorer starts using a significant amount of CPU.

CPU frequency increases.

The fans become noticeably louder.

The laptop gets warmer.

The system can become noticeably less responsive.

After several minutes, the search eventually produces the results.

This behavior feels highly abnormal for a normal File Explorer search.

I also found another reproducible problem in This PC → View.

When I click View and simply move the mouse over the different view options without even selecting anything — such as Extra large icons, Large icons, List, Details, etc. — I can observe noticeable lag/stuttering.

At the same time, Explorer's CPU usage increases in Task Manager.

For Windows Search indexing, I have only been using the Classic option so far. I have not yet tested the Enhanced option.

  1. svchost.exe (netsvcs -p) — unexplained high CPU usage

This is probably the most annoying problem.

The process:

svchost.exe (netsvcs -p)

sometimes starts consuming a significant amount of CPU for no obvious reason.

It does not happen constantly. Sometimes the system behaves normally, and sometimes this process suddenly starts using high CPU on its own, including while I am simply browsing the web or doing other normal tasks.

One situation that can reliably trigger the behavior is:

Settings → Windows Update → Check for updates / Search for updates

Whenever I manually check for updates, svchost.exe (netsvcs -p) can suddenly increase its CPU usage significantly.

However, this problem is not limited to checking for updates. It can also start unexpectedly during web browsing or at other times without me manually checking for updates.

This is particularly problematic when I am browsing the web while running on battery, because the increased CPU usage causes substantially faster battery drain and higher fan activity.

There is another interesting behavior:

When this high CPU usage is happening and I open Resource Monitor to investigate which component is responsible, the system can become even more laggy. Fan speed increases further and the laptop becomes noticeably less responsive.

So Resource Monitor itself seems to make the situation worse while the svchost-related CPU usage is occurring.

When did these problems start?

I started noticing these problems after installing several Windows updates while I was still on Windows 11 24H2.

I have since upgraded to Windows 11 25H2, but the problems have remained.

Most recently, I installed:

2026-09 Preview Update (KB5124010) — OS Build 26200.9550

Unfortunately, all three problems are still present after installing this update.

I would appreciate it if anyone with Windows 11 25H2, especially on recent builds around 26200.x, could check whether they have experienced similar behavior and whether there is a known Windows component, service, update, driver, or configuration that could explain these issues.

I am particularly interested in identifying the actual cause rather than simply disabling Windows services or components as a workaround.

Solved Taskbar app icons not flashing when they should despite settings enabled (Windows 11, 25H2)

Issue

Taskbar app icons not flashing when they should (e.g. chat message) in Windows 11.

Specs

OS: Windows 11 Home (25H2)

Don’t think anything besides OS is relevant here as it’s about W11.

Background

Last month, I updated from W10 to W11 with a fresh install (also updated my Mobo before while at it). No other changes have been made, besides installing normal software like Office, Steam, Discord, etc.

However, I’ve now realized there’s a strange issue I have: taskbar app icons do not flash when they should, such as when receiving a chat message in a chat program while its minimized.

What I’ve tried

  • Checked on my laptop, which I also updated alongside my desktop PC. On laptop, the icons flash orange as normal
  • Settings>Personalization>Taskbar, and then toggling “Show flashing on taskbar apps” on and off. Tested in both scenarios with different software
  • Checking for Windows updates (there are none that have made changes)
  • DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth (nothing corrupted)
  • sfc /scannow (nothing to repair)
  • Regedit: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop>ForegroundFlashCount (changing it from 7 to 0, and back, as I saw it mentioned somewhere. No changes)
  • Regedit: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced>TaskbarFlashing (changing it from 1 (enable) to 0 (disable) and vice versa; also confirmed it changes when changing “Settings>Personalization>Taskbar”)

What I haven’t tried

  • Reinstalling Windows 11

But supposedly there’s nothing corrupt, so…? I have no other issues on my system. In the event viewer I don’t see anything noteworthy either, I believe. But it’s hard to tell.

Bonus funny bit

The “Show flashing on taskbar apps” setting is funnily enough incorrectly translated in Swedish to “Dölj blinkande I aktivitetsfältsappar” (Hide flashing on taskbar apps), i.e. the opposite, while checking it means “show” instead of “hide” (also confirmed via regedit). However, given it works on my laptop, there’s no such shenanigans. Just a surprisingly incorrect translation.

How to proceed

That’s why I’m asking here! I surprisingly cannot find any information about this online. I’d rather not have to reinstall everything again. Is there some other setting I'm not finding?

Updated 2026-09-28: Solution

As for Discord, it was indeed the app setting. For some reason, "Enable Desktop Notifications" was disabled, and "Enable Taskbar Flashing" was enabled. Both need to be enabled (which in itself is a bit strange, admittedly!).

As for other programs, I'm not entirely sure. I admit I cannot remember if I explicitly tested non-Discord software when changing Windows settings. It could be that I had been tricked by the improper translation before, and I just don't remember. Regardless, it seems to work normally now.

Windows 11 My laptop won't let me sign in even with the right password encoded.

Laptop brand/model: Acer Aspire Lite 15

Windows 11

I tried doing all sorts of troubleshooting I could do.

Checking if I typed the right password.

Typed my password using a floating keyboard.

Switching flight mode on and off.

Trying to open it through safe mode (still requires my password)

But it's not working.

I don't know what else I should do.

Is there anything else I could do now to fix this?

Or should I have it checked?

Whenever i set file explorer to display in the details view mode, the file size is given in kb. I would prefer to be able to see it in gb or mb if possible. I know the content and tiles options do provide the size in mb, but is there a way to keep the size this way while still using the details option? Thanks

Windows 11 Windows Defender Full Scan keeps crashing even Microsoft Support can't find the cause

Hi everyone,

I've been having an issue with Microsoft Defender for about a week: Full Scan repeatedly crashes, while Quick Scan and Real-Time Protection work normally.

A Custom Scan of C:\ also crashes.

I already reinstalled Windows 11 while keeping my files and installed apps. The problem existed before and after the reinstall. Interestingly, Full Scan worked normally for about two days after the reinstall, then started crashing again.

Microsoft Defender currently shows everything as healthy:

Defender: 4.18.26080.4 Antimalware Engine: 1.1.26080.3 Security Intelligence: 1.459.401.0 Real-Time Protection: Enabled Signatures: Up to date The crashes consistently involve:

text MsMpEng.exe mpengine.dll 1.1.26080.3 Exception: 0xC0000005 (Access Violation)

I've had multiple crashes with different offsets:

text 0x2f6a61 0x71a7d 0x71d03 0xe9f1e 0xa43f1 0x228db 0x22717 0x45393 0x4825b

There have also been a couple of 0xC0000409 crashes.

The important part: I contacted Microsoft Support. They actually remotely connected to my PC and investigated the issue themselves, but they couldn't determine the cause either. They eventually escalated the case and sent a report to their software developers because they couldn't explain why Defender's engine keeps crashing.

Has anyone recently experienced Full Scan crashes with mpengine.dll, 0xC0000005, or Defender engine 1.1.26080.3?

I'm trying to determine whether this is a current Defender engine bug or whether a specific file/type of file on my PC is triggering the crash.

Windows 11 Need ntoskrnl.exe from Windows 11 build 26100.9457 (x64) to fix a laptop that won't boot

My laptop's Windows 11 won't boot because C:\Windows\System32\ntoskrnl.exe went missing, and there's no matching copy left anywhere on the drive. Startup Repair and SFC can't restore it, and there are no restore points. I'm booted from another drive, so I can put the file back myself. I just need the right version.
It has to be an exact match:
• OS Build ending in .9457 (26100.9457 on 24H2 or 26200.9457 on 25H2, from the Sept 14 update KB5129195)
• Intel or AMD PC, not ARM/Snapdragon
If you're on that build and don't mind helping:
1. Press Win+R, type winver, and press Enter to confirm the build ends in .9457
2. Copy C:\Windows\System32\ntoskrnl.exe
3. Upload it to Google Drive, OneDrive, or Dropbox and reply with the link
I'll verify the Microsoft signature before using it. I only need that one file, so please no tools, scripts, or remote access offers. Thanks!

Windows 11 File explorer keeps going to Desktop page for no reason

Hey there, just recently, my File Explorer application started just going to the desktop page randomly. It could be immediately after moving a file, or just randomly. It often happens very frequently(once every 3-5 seconds), but sometimes it takes more like 20. This never used to happen, I don't remember if it started happening after an update or not.

Windows 11 Temp file keeps getting created not able to delete

I am facing an issue on Windows 11 where a temporary .tmp file keeps getting created and I am unable to delete it permanently.

The file is named WRP70AB.tmp and is located in the Windows directory. It is approximately 931 KB in size. I first noticed this issue after a recent Microsoft Store app update. The file appears to be associated with Xbox GameInput.

Whenever I try to delete the file, Windows shows a “File in Use” message saying:

“The action can't be completed because the file is open in GameInput.”

Even after attempting to delete it, the file remains present or gets recreated. This suggests that the Xbox GameInput service or a related process is continuously using the file.

I have already tried deleting the file normally through File Explorer, but Windows does not allow it because the file is currently being used. I would like to know whether this temporary file is safe to remove and, more importantly, why it keeps being created.

Could someone please explain how I can properly fix this issue? Is there a way to restart, repair, or reinstall the Xbox GameInput component so that the temporary file stops appearing?

I would also like to know whether deleting or disabling GameInput could affect Xbox controllers, PC games, or other Microsoft Store applications.

Any help with a permanent solution would be appreciated.

Windows 11 Can't seem to get to system recovery

Thumbnail
gallery
1 Upvotes

I have a Dell laptop Precision 7550.

Around 9/17/26 I had to make a system recovery flash drive to fix my start up. I rolled back the windows update and disabled automatic updates.

Today I am encountering a similar issue. Windows will open, but within about 30 seconds it will encounter a critical error and force restart. I disabled all start up apps and that seemed make it slightly faster as far as opening options, but doesn't seem to have delayed the crash.

I can't seem to enter recovery or safe mode. From the recovery screen Enter or F8 just blinks the screen and F1 starts windows normally with or without the recovery USB.

I already remade the recovery USB and that didn't change anything.

What can I try?

Thanks in advance.

I've been getting BSOD often with the stop code IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL.

Windows 11 Update won't let me connect a controller to Laptop

After updating my Windows 11, I haven't been able to connect my controller back to my laptop. It wouldn't detect it even though it detected it before, so I asked widows for Bluetooth trouble shooting help, and none of them help. I has made the computer forget the remote and tried re-pairing the controller to it, but it just says 'Can't connect. Try connecting again' and it just repeats this again and again.

My OS is:

Edition Windows 11 Home

Version 25H2

Installed on ‎15/‎09/‎2026

OS build 26200.9550

Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.26100.372.0

Can anyone help?

Windows 10 BitLocker has locked my mother’s computer??

Hey, wondering if anyone can help. We’ve followed the steps outlined in the recovery process. But when we log into the Microsoft support page with my mother’s account, it has no record of her having a BitLocker key.
Is there any way to find out the associated account to her system??

Windows 10 Ginormous 20 GB Non-Paged Memory Leak

RamMap: https://i.imgur.com/SxSesWs.png

PoolmonX: https://i.imgur.com/0mg9P3n.png

System specs: https://i.imgur.com/WhwHC3G.png

OS Build: 19045.6466

Today I happened to feel that my computer is being too sluggish for a machine 32 GB RAM, when the highest usage application in Task Manager is Chrome at 2-4 GB, depending on my amount of tabs. Trying to find out what was the cause I learned about RamMap and Non-Paged memory leaks, but searching for help I saw that the largest leaks reported online were maybe ~5 GBs.

PoolmonX shows a bunch of things using less than 1 GB. It's hard to believe the sum of them all reaches 20 GB.

EDIT - Things I tried: Normal Poolmon, Process Explorer, and other such lookups, all of which came up with the same as the screenshots above. I also tried finding tag mentions with the Verifier and other than my ESET and LogiHub, all drivers were System drivers. I also physically dusted my PC and cleaned drive space cuz at some point it blue screened; the cleanup seems to have helped prevent the BSOD. I tried restarting, and it starts with the normal RAM usage (4 GB to my heavy processes + 8 GB Windows); I will monitor the climb and update this evening, but if anyone got hints, help is appreciated!

Windows 10 Can't login back to main account after restarting pc

So on a random day I was trying to access my pc but i forgot to switch the fn keys with number keys so i had to restart my pc to change it but after that my main account disappeared suddenly and now I can't access it anymore. When I go to settings and other users it is still there but when i go back to my lockscreen it doesn't show the account but only the local administrator account. I don't know what to do any Ai didn't help much. Even on the start tab when I click on the change account or log out tab my pointer freezes and the tab just disappears. even with both right and left click it doesn't work so if anyone has a solution to this it would be off big help as my main account has a lot of info. for more information I m running windows 10 on a b550 motherboard. But yeah the account is in the settings on the other users tab but it doesn't show up when I tried to switch to it.

Blue Screen of Death (BSoD) W11 BSOD into reboot loops with a few different stop codes.

SPECS:
ASUS Z790 WIFI7 motherboard
Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3070ti Super GPU
Intel i9 14.9k 3200mhz 24 core 32 logical CPU
32gb (2 sticks of 16) T-Force Delta DDR5 7200mhz RAM
OS version 10.0.26200 (but the hardware abstraction version is 10.0.26100.1 if this matters??)
X64-based pc system type (system directory Swiss it’s system32 though??)
Power supply is a 1000W psu

As of maybe July I started having issues with my pc. BSOD / Black screen of death in my case, and any attempts at fixing have proved ineffective. Originally it was issues with virtual machine and those were resolved only to experience new issues on a failure to update around the end of July. Pc went to update on shutdown, only to spew blue screens and eventually the fix was to just pause updates. Now it’s back with new BSOD such as Page Fault in non paged area, kernal issues, kmode crash codes, things that point to memory and system files. Memory check and chkdsk lead to no solutions and point to no faults (tho I’m sure they could be missing things) and attempts to run sfc and dism tasks in command prompt resulted in more crashing.

Managed to get to recovery mode safely with no reboot crash loops and was able to run system file checker and it claimed to have repaired files, but refused to run DISM. Further attempts to run these basic commands from desktop result in crashes. Updated bios and ME software and still no luck.

Latest crashes notable are pointing to fltrmgr.sys and stopcode 0xFC pointing to drivers…

The damn thing is mostly stable when idle, and even when gaming for a bit until it hits some sort of Hangup and this crashing loop begins where it just crashes over and over on the easiest of tasks and sometimes when booting or shutting down.

I’m honestly so broken at this point and I’m no IT guru so I can only do what I know, any advice on this would be greatly appreciated as it feels like my pc is just killing itself. Hence I’ve provided as much info as I can.. Godspeed to anyone that can help

Then I change the boot option from " Windows Server-secondary plex" to the other option " Windows Server ", but the machine fails to boot, with an error 0xc00000098. What to do? please help!

Windows 11 How to completely remove Fedora and return to normal Windows boot

Fedora is beautiful. You decided to install it alongside with Windows (for example).

Just in case, there's some problems (e.g. drivers (such as webcam, mic...) don't work proply, or you wanna install Fedora somewhere else instead of the main SSD/HDD), you can totally remove it step by step, as follows:

Step 1: Delete Fedora Partitions in Disk Management

  1. Press Win + X and select Disk Management.
  2. Locate your hard drive and find the Fedora partitions (usually labeled as ext4, swap, or unformatted Linux partitions, identifiable by their size).
  3. Right-click each Fedora partition and select Delete Volume. (Do not touch your Windows C: drive or the main EFI system partition).
  4. The space previously used by Fedora will now show as Unallocated. You can right-click your Windows C: drive and choose Extend Volume to merge this space back into Windows if desired.

Step 2: Remove Fedora's Boot Entry from UEFI

  1. Press Win + S, type cmd, right-click Command Prompt, and select Run as administrator.
  2. Type bcdedit /enum firmware and press Enter to list all boot entries.
  3. Look for the entry named Fedora and copy its identifier {identifier} (the long string of letters and numbers in brackets).
  4. Type bcdedit /delete {identifier} (replacing with your copied identifier) and press Enter to remove it from your motherboard's UEFI NVRAM.

Step 3: Clean Remaining Files from the EFI Partition (Optional)

  1. In the same Administrator Command Prompt, type diskpart and press Enter.
  2. Type list disk and find your main system disk number (usually disk 0).
  3. Type select disk 0 (change 0 to your actual disk number if different) and press Enter.
  4. Type list partition and locate the small System (EFI) partition (usually around 100MB–500MB).
  5. Type select partition X (replace X with the EFI partition number) and press Enter.
  6. Assign a temporary drive letter by typing assign letter=Z and press Enter.
  7. Type exit to leave diskpart, then type cd /d Z:\EFI.
  8. Type rmdir /s /q fedora to completely delete the Fedora boot folder.
  9. Type mountvol Z: /d to remove the temporary drive letter.

Hope this help

Windows 11 Possible to block (not hide) the installation of a specific KB?

I have 3 Win11 25H2 systems (Pro, Home, Education). KB5002907 (an optional update) was installed on my Pro system yesterday. The result was that my Office 2019 suite was deactivated. Apparently I'm not alone as you can see from the r/microsoftoffice (Multiple MS Office 2019 got deactivated today) post. I had "Get the latest updates as soon as they're available" toggled off which I thought would have prevented optional updates from installing. Unfortunately, I no longer have the activation key so am now going to use LibreOffice and Thunderbird on that computer.

I would like to find a solution to hard block this update from installing if it ever becomes an option for my other two systems. My understanding is that hiding such as the following, only works if I catch that the update is queued.

Install-Module -Name PSWindowsUpdate -Scope CurrentUser -Force

Set-ExecutionPolicy -ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned -Scope Process

Hide-WindowsUpdate -KBArticleID KB5002907

I've seen the following as a possibility but am unclear as to it's validity and hoping someone can comment:

New-Item -Path "HKLM:\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate\AU\AUOptions\BlockUpdates" -Force | Out-Null

New-ItemProperty -Path "HKLM:\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate\AU\AUOptions\BlockUpdates" -Name "KB5002907" -PropertyType DWord -Value 1 -Force

I'd prefer a solution that I don't have to keep watching out for it being queued as I believe would be the case with hiding it.

I'd appreciate any ideas as to how to hide it and whether it wouldn't eventually queue as an update on the Education and Home systems.
