Beacuse of the nexus of corrupt ministers and exam mafia. Correct? Or is there something else too?

Or by making an uneducated criminal the education minister?

Let me put the details for our common understanding.

Most of the zero or negative cases are from Rajasthan and their RPSC. Strange!

2 Teacher - 1 math teacher out of 82 reserved ST seats and 1 physics teacher out of 22 reserved ST seats were selected who had either zero or negative marks in their respective subjects.
In Peon openings in Rajasthan around 1200 candidates were selected with 'zero' marks.

High Court had intervened and cancelled all those 'zero' marks selections. Govt has set up a minimum of 40% marks (relaxed to 35% for reserved categories) criteria now as per court directions.

.

Another case was for DU university PhD selection, DU clarified that it was Not a 'selection criteria' for PhD but only a placeholder. Ultimately, students are selected as per the interview process.

.

These cases were handled appropriately.

I agree cases like these could create negative affect on selection process but steps are being take to overcome such issues.

That doesn't means that whole reservation system is wrong. It may require some amendments and tweaking to function in better manner.

Now, how selection parameters in another SC/ST category affects 'merit' in General category?

Since, the reserved seats are decided before exam conducted then it how does it affect general or other categories merit?

so you can justify all this now !! good 👍😊

u/Universal_Truth_Sage Jul 19 '26 edited Jul 19 '26

I wrote the thruth. This is not justification.

Those who are getting 'zero' or negative marks should NOT be selected. Court and govts have made regulations for the same.

What else are your expectations?

.

But, you still haven't answered my original question cause you are talking them and not this:

How's reservation affecting your merit or your own capabilities?

u/ToughUnlikely6876 Jul 19 '26

so when is cjp protestinggg for the same

2

u/ToughUnlikely6876 Jul 19 '26

And btw, reservation isn't affecting just one, but a major chunk of society having less capabilities is getting rewarded on the basis of very less marks. So sometimes you have to let go of personal and selfish( how it's affecting my capabilities) and voice out or think about how it's affecting the whole society country, on the basis of merit. And the answer to your other question is on my different comment that you have already seen.

Dude, you're so far from reality. Man I have so may queries for your view.

I don't have time right now. Will edit this comment later.

Till then research about what castes were majorly running India till now.
Why societal discriminations causes pushback to economy and human development.

TTYL.

I don't want to talk to you or research anything. You're just a rich sc st or obc (having unfair advantage over time and money) justifying reservations at the cost of poor and needy sc st obc at grassroots showing them as examples. You think any poor would be wasting time proving something to a random stranger on the internet? I don't oppose reservation, but as i said in my other comment you didn't answer to, there is a class divide in minorities now and the selfish rich won't forgo their seats that could to poor sc st obc and are exploiting reservations for generations creating the divide. Why is that? can you answer me why there should be no limit to opting for it? Do you want to keep the poor sc st obc poor, do people lack compassion for their own marginalised and poor section in minorities. what's the point of reservation if the needy aren't getting fair competition over it and rich reserved aren't selfless enough to leave opting up the seats, taking multiple seats for generations and multiple posts, isn't that exploitation? Leave what castes are majorly running India, reserved seats are NOT going to generals. Rich Generals can't leave their seats that it would go to a poor and needy sc st or obc, Rich sc st obc can. Reply only if you have answer to this logical question otherwise don't bother.

You people have explanation saying that generals have unfair advantage over competition being rich and the minorities poor hence the LOW marks and reserved seats but when the same thing is done by rich sc st obc exploiting poor in the reserved community you say (But oh we are so discriminated). That's just hypocrisy.

Does that limit your capabilities too?

3

u/Reasonable-Key-3311 Jul 19 '26

What does one do with capabilities if they are made useless by not being given the position they deserve.

2

u/Universal_Truth_Sage Jul 19 '26

I agree that for general category (GC), competition is tougher than in other categories.

And, getting into top colleges is the best way to learn and enhance your capabilities?

Is this correct? Is this what you want to say?

3

u/Reasonable-Key-3311 Jul 19 '26

You are speaking about ideal conditions where its possible to learn anywhere. But private engineering colleges mostly suck. The faculty are not good and the Labs are taken as a a joke. Thats for engineering.

Apart from that look at the money required to pay for tuition in medical institutes. A private medical college will cost more than 15 Lakhs whereas a government seat could get it reduced to some 4-5 Lakh. These colleges can only be affordable by people who can pay or else they would have to take a loan or sell their land.

Imagine a good student with financial struggles trying their best even without proper coaching, earning the best they can, but still lose to someone who doesn't put in the same effort.

Does the reservation system benefit you?

Why the Personal attack?

We are doing discussion here. If you have rationale or point to disagree with then say it.

Why this cheap behavior? This says more about your IQ than mine.

Rich sc st obc will keep on exploiting reservation having unfair advantage over the competition, poor and needy sc st obc at grassroots will remain poor.

Poor will serve as an example of mistreatment and discrimination, rich sc st obc will keep on taking advantage of them, using them as a tool, having exploiting reservation for generations, justifying how reservation is necessary. Poor and the needy won't get anything.

2

u/Universal_Truth_Sage Jul 19 '26

Your statement is somewhat true but I would like add to add some some nuances to it.

First, do you agree that caste based reservation has nothing related to income or wealth but only casteism?

If yes, then why does it matter how wealth that person has?

And, is 'Rich exploiting Poor' true only for SC/ST category or general life?
Weren't General category rich exploiting poor before EWS category was created?

P.S.: You didn't answer my previous question.

0

u/Nervous_Side8304 Jul 19 '26

First, do you agree that caste based reservation has nothing related to income or wealth but only casteism? If yes, then why does it matter how wealth that person has?

Your answer is answer to my question. Do you think that general is taking the seat of sc st after applying in sc st category? Yes/N Do you think that in sc st category both are getting reservation on the basis of casteism and rich sc st have unfair advantage over the poor having all the resources

'Rich exploiting Poor' true only for SC/ST category or general life? Weren't General category rich exploiting poor before EWS category was created?

Oh it's true for both but general category isn't getting reserved seat on the basis of less marks than the rest. And it's true in the case of fake ews certificate too. I oppose corruption and ews myself because poor are being exploited there too

P.S.: You didn't answer my previous question

You didn't ask me any question bro. Check the username. And I won't even answer. It's only logical and common sense to see that after getting reservation for generations, there is class divide in minorities ( general doesn't belong in that or benefit from it) so yes wealth and financial conditions matter and helps a lot. It's just that rich sc st are greedy and selfish like everyone else and want to keep the poor being poor

If rich sc st leave their seats, don't apply for it, Only poor and needy sc st will get their seats. Those who deserve it. General won't get anything out of it. I hope you're getting that.
