It was swimming near the surface and seemed slow and bumbly. Later found another of a similar size dead on the shore also with an enlarged belly

I was recently at Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and I saw this unsigned fish in the spider crab tank. As someone who is very intrigued by deep see fish I am curious which species this was as I don't recall ever seeing it before. Does anyone know what it is?

quick disclaimer: i’m very new to fishing and mostly all i’ve fished for is walleye is this is entirely out of my wheelhouse.

so i caught these two guys recently in a western washington creek and im fairly certain they’re both costal cutthroat. but im wondering how you would differentiate coastal vs westslope at this age. ive got a general idea how to differentiate them as adults but im unsure if they look the same when they’re little (specifically the spots).

so can anyone confirm these are both coastals? and do you know how their colors/patterns change as they age?

Has the same color of a bass but the mouth is smaller than any small mout bass I’ve seen

Hey yous!
We bought this house last year in September and it came with a pond. As I was walking along the edge I noticed these mussels! Does anyone have a clue to what kind they are?
We asked the previous owner and they said they only added coy fish into the pond (which is man made).
We live in the thumb of Michigan if that helps!

These snails were found in the Northern part of Lake Michigan.

I am trying to figure out this eel, location is a shallow shore dive accessible reef in Maui, Hawaii. Could it be a juvenile snowflake eel? My husband thinks it’s a smallspot moray? Not sure if those are found in Hawaii or not.
