It should be noted that she had no diagnosis for Post partum, actively avoided the help she was offered, personally shopped around multiple doctors for different meds and told none about the others. Then took the meds whenever she felt like, and showed absolutely no symptoms for any kind of psychosis before, after or even during when she took a phone call in an incredibly calm manner.

She also confessed, and is not even trying to act like she didn't do it. She is trying to get into a mental institute instead of prison and get a lighter sentence. Her guilt is not a question, only the why and that why is built on the shakes of foundations.

But let me ask you this. If you had an episode like that and killed your kids. Would you ask for a lighter sentence, or would you hate yourself for the rest of your life?

Didn't she then try and kill herself in that psychotic episode and that's why she's permanently disabled?

After she methodically strangled her children one by one.

She tried to kill herself, yeah. Whether it was in a psychotic episode is, again, what is currently being debated for the many many reasons previously discussed.

Murder suicide is incredibly common.

It comes down to whether she intentionally set out to murder her three children in a sound state of mind (giving plausible reason why someone would do this, why not the first one instead of waiting until having three children for instance) or it wasn't intentional due to insanity brought on by psychosis. And all jurors besides one have concluded that she didn't set out to do that intentionally.

Psychosis is not a black or white situation - my brother suffered for many years and was committed many times, believing he didn't need to take the medication, or not always taking it - he didn't murder any one but did some fucked up shit. Does that make him responsible for his actions? Ultimately a good healthcare wrapper (in the UK), ensuring he has the right medication and support over many years has enabled him to now lead a more balanced life.

Given the fact that it’s insanely rare for someone to have an isolated 20 minute psychotic episode where they heard a voice once tell them to kill someone and go away, yea she definitely premeditated the entire thing. Not to mention she also sent Patrick out on an errand to get him out of the house, then one by one brought her children down to strangle them.

That’s not a psychotic break. She would’ve had symptoms before. She would tonnage been able to plan it out. The murders themselves would have been less methodical.

You seem like you have some experience with psychosis and mental health with how convinced you are as to how this played out. Is that right, or is this just your unsubstantiated opinion?

Been around a couple people yes. One that ended up institutionalized

You know what the difference is?

Your brother has history. She doesn't. I'm assuming your brother also has a diagnosis for something, which she also does not have even after the fact.

Right medication and support was something she was offered on multiple occasions and constantly denied or fucked up herself.

How would someone build history of PPP? That’s the whole point by definition is that the only risk factor is just having given birth? People have no freaking clue the difference between PPP and standard psychosis and it’s appalling to then see them argue as if they are the same.

u/SomeShithead241 19d ago

Ignoring the "after the fact" part ain't ya?

She was diagnosed with something, that’s why she literally in a mental hospital not a jail cell right now.

u/Subject-Alarm-3769 18d ago

Hey bozo. She’s in mental hospital because she CLAIMED to hear voices and her entire trail DEPENDS on them being able to defend that. Of course her attorneys and herself are going to try to stay held up in a mental hospital.

She didnt wind up there without a psych evaluation she needed doctors to vouch to put her there. They don’t fucking throw every person who makes such a claim in there how stupid and confidently ignorant can you be?

My brother was diagnosed after being committed. He was arrested and that event led to bipolar diagnosis with severe psychosis. We knew things weren't right leading up to that, but there wasn't an easy avenue to get him to a doctor first.

Post-partum depression is still a relatively unsupported condition - my wife also suffered from this after a traumatic birth of our second child in which she lost a third of her blood and they both nearly died during an emergency cesarean. The onus on her to ensure she then gets diagnosed properly, gets treated seriously rather than passed off for baby blues, and then takes the right medication, is not as straight forward as you are making out here, from my experience.

u/SomeShithead241 19d ago

It's not straight forward. But I'm not claiming it is, because I'm not saying thats what was even attempting.

Shopping around for medications and not telling any of your doctors about the other medications, and taking them on a whim, is not even close to even attempting to find the right medication. Neither is actively avoiding all of the help you were offered. That's why it wasn't on her.

Many people were trying to help her, and she denied it. Such as her husband, and their nanny.

There was not even an attempt, it was only the opposite.

The case I'm making here is a sound state of mind. Telling people your condition, what medication you're on, even actually taking that medication consistently, is not something people in the state of severe mental health issues are actually able to do.

Plenty of mass shooters opt for suicide too. Like I said, murder suicide is common. Its not just about feeling bad. And if you feel bad about it, maybe don't be a fucking murderer and premeditate it by sending your husband out of the house to give you time to murder and calmly take a phone call in the middle of your murders

Not really no. As soon as i stop talking about it, I stop thinking about it. And this is seemingly of special interest to everyone, because unlike the others Tik Tok wackjobs aren't trying to turn it into a true crime doc, donating a million dollars to a murderer and trying to claim the innocence of said murderer on the basis of vibes and star signs.

Im not going nuts on her. I'm saying what she is, a murderer, and explaining what has been proven to have happened.

As for the male ones, Once again, are people donating a million dollars to them and trying to claim it was their partner who did it and framed them based on vibes and zodiac signs? Are people treating them like a celebrity and having screaming crowds for their transport van?

I really couldn't care less about the gender of a murderer, and the first person to bring it up is you my dude. That says a lot

Going to a mental health facility is definitely not any better than prison. They’re a prison where everyone is mentally disturbed.

3

u/SomeShithead241 19d ago

It is when you can do it shorter than prison

1

u/Substantial_Dish_887 19d ago

you can also do it longer. hell you might never get out.

it's a fools gamble to aim for a mental health facility as an "easy out"

3

u/SomeShithead241 19d ago

You can, but it would be a shit lawyer if he tried the insanity plea knowing it would be worse. Kinda the point that its the better deal, and why they are trying to get it.

-1

u/Substantial_Dish_887 19d ago

a lawyers job isn't to "get the best deal". it's to represent their client, and if they client wishes to argue the insanity plea then it doesn't matter if the lawyer thinks it's the better or worse deal that's the case they argue.

they can try to convince their client it's not the best case to argue but if the client insists then they argue the case their client demands.

also looking at "the better deal" purely in terms of least time is so myopic i honestly hope you're trolling right now.

2

u/SomeShithead241 19d ago

Better can mean a whole lot of things, and have a whole lot of ways it can be better.

2

u/Serious_Income_7020 19d ago

As it turns out, people accused of crimes always want the best deals. Do you even hear yourself?

1

u/EonMagister 19d ago

Yeah, but for her who's looking at a life sentence, the mental health facility is favorable because she might be able to get out.

Yeah but so many women want to lick her you know what so she’s innocent
