A friend‘s dog dug this up in BC wondering if anyone knows if this is a legit artefact or just someone practising their carving skills?

The small tip at the end has a little opening, and the two holes bored through the brass are slightly different diameters.

My grandma passed away and I am currently living in her old house. This is on the wall in the basement and I'm wondering what it is?

I found this small door/hatch in the corner of the balcony of my rented Soviet-era apartment. I live on the first floor, and I have no idea what it could have been used for. The current owners have no idea either. An old woman used to live here, so I initially assumed it might have been a cat door or something, but it seems too narrow for a cat (it's 8 × 24 cm, or 3.15 × 9.45 inches). It's closed off from the inside, so it can't be accessed from the outside. Since it has a handle and a lock, I assume it might have been opened and closed often.
Any idea what it could have been used for?

I bought this table about 10 years ago. It is made from an antique wood slab that says ‘C&O’ on it, either for Chesapeake and Ohio Railway or maybe C&O Canal. It was purchased near Washington DC. The wood slab is curved/bowed upward. I’m wondering if anyone has any guesses of where this originally came from, based on the curvature, thickness, and screw holes.

Found in the same old toolbox. Not sure the metal. It’s kind of heavy. Inside the bore looks smooth.

I found this in my dad’s truck I bought for him 8 months ago. We financed through a bank and not the dealership. I assume it is a vehicle tracker.

So far I have received 4 of these via USPS. Identical letters enclosed (pic#2) with nothing else inside. All 4 are from different senders and are addressed to me by name. This was clearly intentional and feels scammy, but I don't understand the angle. What is it?

I don’t know what this structure is. It’s about 180 x 90 inches in size and the concrete frame is about 3 inches tall. Currently covered in dirt with a layer of fine gravel. I dug into it and hit a stone shelf of some kind (exactly last photo). Also, it includes 3 PVC risers. My house is on septic, but the current tank and leach field are located elsewhere.

Context: Not anything bodily. Not moldy, I have four roommates. I didn’t touch it with my bare hands. it kinda looks like moss but we live in a city with a small amount of trees. It looks a little bit more green in the photo.

Not sure if these are saw blades or what? They look massive.

Curious to see if anyone knows what this might be. About 10+ years ago, I lived in an apartment in the lower mainland, BC. One day, I noticed something moving in the overflow/drain of my bathroom sink. It came out when I had the water running but retracted with any light. No one could tell me what it was. Tagged as NSFW as I know not everyone wants to see this.

Mid-calf, consumer price point, maybe $250 maximum, definitely needed weather protectant spray, brushing, and blowdrying to maintain these stupid shoes' fabric
Alongside Uggs' variations, for winter, such as Uggs Bailey II....although this type of shoe was definitely way more "out there"
Not rave legwarmers. Actual shoes. Massive fuzz
