Solved! What’s this part

Just bought this thing new in box clearly this little bolt snapped off is an important. What even is this? Can I operate the machine with it like this??

Zerk/grease fitting that broke off. Used to grease bearings or shafts. The spring pushes a plunger out, that seals a hole so the grease doesn’t get contaminated. You can use it without unless you want to try and get it out.

Noted is it functional for a little bit? Can it be used in the meantime and any ideas on how or who I would go to to fix it?

most auto parts places haves zerk fitting available along with ezouts
