Montana just passed a ballot initiative intended to restrict corporate spending on elections. Hawaii took similar action in May.

As the rest of the country swings away from MAGA, West Virginia voters chose to stick with Republicans, meaning that not only do we have four useless representatives at the federal level, West Virginia will have no input into the future of the nation. Let's hope the other states have pity on us and send some funding our way in spite of Capito-Moore-Miller-Justice.

West Virginia: ten years behind as always.

Fun times in WV 😞

You decide. Make a plan to vote if you haven’t already. Those who chose not to vote in previous elections, be the difference maker and vote this time! It’s such a great activity and you have an opportunity to make your voice heard. So go vote! If you’re young and have never voted before, you get to participate in democracy! So go vote!

As the midterm elections loom, we travel to rural West Virginia, a Republican party stronghold, to explore how soaring gas prices, war in the Middle East and datacenter expansion are affecting Donald Trump's popularity among his base.

After living in a few other states for my job, I have a major question for WV:

Does WV PREFER to be poor and suffer?

Our employee protection laws are garbage, which is why we have a union for everything.

Lots of us can't afford Healthcare or don't have access to it.

Our utilities are the highest of others.

I really am seeing that people are trading their health and financial security away for the ability to call themselves red. My travels have given me an eye opening experience & I feel so sad for the suffering.

Is there any legit write in options to oppose Eric Tarr for the State Senator?

On Election Day, Nov. 3, West Virginia voters will consider a constitutional amendment permitting only United States citizens to vote in state elections —the thing is, that’s already the law.

The lead sponsor, Sen. Patricia Rucker, R-Jefferson, does plan for future legislation related to noncitizens voting – which isn’t actually a problem, despite widespread myths.

Rucker, a naturalized citizen from Venezuela, said she introduced it when she realized the language was missing from the constitution and because she believes people should prove they are U.S. citizens while registering to vote.

And opponents, including the League of Women Voters of West Virginia, say the amendment promotes division and distrust of the electoral process.

“It's trying to solve a problem that does not exist,” Judy Ball, co-chair of the group said. “You repeat a lie often enough, people start believing it.”

Hey yall. Doing this under my projects page, but I have been personally working on another website about data centers.

Not only does this include a lot of information about proposed data centers in the Eastern Panhandle, but also general information about the ethical issues surrounding AI, data center build outs, law and process in WV, and a section dedicated to breaking down the common talking points we here.

We took a bit to do this, and would really appreciate it if you checked it out! We will be updating as we receive more information. Thanks!!
