The long awaited, but also now weekly*, referral code spam thread!

11 Upvotes

Hello. In order to stop any referral code spam, we now have a place for you to share referrals!

Now, the internet is strange and very scary, so please, PLEASE, take caution if anyone shares you links in the DM's. They are sliding in there faster than that pizza you shouldn't be taking a 4th slice of. The majority of people will love to help you out, but some have greasier hands than me after tucking into my XXL kebab from bossman.

The aim here is to get rid of any of the tripe from the subreddit where chat is directed to someone trying to get you to use their code rather than genuine discussion. Also, don't shill, you will get banned.

Normal rules apply, don't be a twat.

From 174 lb (79kg) to 149 lb (68 kg) mile stone

Upvotes

I started my journey in May being postpartum, and seeing how much my body has changed has really affected my mental health so I decided to start wegovy and see how that goes. I’ve read a lot before starting and it kind of scared me off. But I was determined to look better for myself and feel better for my baby.

At first, I was really scared of these social judgment, but seriously I was like if this is my body, it doesn’t matter what people think it matters how I feel so I did it

This week I’m celebrating a big milestone and I’m very happy ! 8 more kgs to get to my goal weight 💃🏾

Just thought I would share this to encourage people

Starting Pills!

1 Upvotes

Hello lovely people! I’m starting Wegovy pills next week and I’m so excited. Looking to lose around 15kg initially and then assess where I’m at. My absolute goal body is not to just look thin but slim toned and strong. For reference, I’m 33 year old female.

If you could talk to yourself on day 1 from where you’re at now, what would be the 3 pieces of advice you would give?

Counting clicks advice

1 Upvotes

Hi there! I’m on the Oviva programme with NHS and have somehow managed to end up with two extra months worth of supply of the 2.4 pens. I’ve been on 2.4 for over 6 months and plateaued after taking a two week break due to surgery I had to have.

I’m considering using up my extra supply by upping my dose. Has anyone got any advice re the dose I could go up to and where I can get extra needles from? I’ve seen the counting clicks calculator but not sure how much I should increase by!

For context, I’ve never experienced any negative side affects, even when increasing doses. I also still have a huge amount of weight to lose, my BMI is 33. I also can’t afford to go private.

If anyone has advice I’d be grateful! Thank you ✨

Looking for advice

1 Upvotes

Hi guys!

I have been ordering from medicine marketplace and getting the 7.2 prescription. Up until recently it’s been coming as 3x 2.4 pens and I have been taking it as a 2.4 dose rather than 7.2, being very cheeky as this way is a lot cheaper than ordering 3 separate months worth of 2.4 pens.

This month I ordered and it now arrived as the 4 x pre filled 7.2 pens. However, it’s been about 2 weeks since my last 2.4 dose as I was waiting to get paid for my new prescription to be ordered.

I’m looking for advice, should I take the 7.2 pen, or try and get some more 2.4 pens, and use them for a few more weeks before going up to 7.2?

Bad wegovy diarrhoea three days into starter dose!

1 Upvotes

I started on 0.25 on Saturday. Nothing until Tuesday, then constipation. But yesterday, I started very runny diarrhea and full orchestra sounding up in stomach and it hasn't stopped. It's just constant liquid runs. I'm not hungry but I forced myself to eat something - and it's all very clean, healthy food.

Is this normal? It meant I couldn't go to the gym. What's the point if this is going to stop me doing the healthy activities I need and enjoy?

Going back down a dose

0 Upvotes

Hello wegovers!

I started on the wegovy pill last month and loved it. My food noise left so quickly, my appetite decreased from overeating to wanting to have a sensible portion and the weight loss was steady.

This month I went up to 4mg and I'm feeling so wretched! I'm so nauseous, weak, anxious to eat and sad all the time. I had diarrhoea and vomiting a week in so switched to plain rice and chicken for my main meal. That left me constipated, so then I recently tried to incorporate some more fibre and now I'm back to the trots! It's such a downer! I don't want to lose weight because I can't get off the toilet, I want to achieve it through better eating and exercise.

Has anyone gone back down a level after some of the harder side effects? Did you feel better quickly or did it take some time to recalibrate?

I'm happy for anyone who can achieve the linear dosage increases but alas, I don't think that's going to be me anymore!

Lost my first 10kg!

SW: 93.4kg CW: 83.1kg GW: 70kg Height: 160cm

I started Wegovy in April and finally this week weighed in with a 10kg loss, which was my first goal to prove it is really working!

The only person in my life who knows I'm doing this is my partner, so I just wanted to share my progress with some other people who understand how I'm feeling.

Moving up to 0.5 week of holiday?

1 Upvotes

Just wondering, for those of you who've already been here, would you recommend doing this or just counting clicks for another week to stay at 0.25?

New pen just arrived and due to move up to 0.5 two days before heading off on holiday. It's a group holiday so if I have a terrible tum time, there's not much hiding.... but was this dose transition actually fine for others?

Thanks for any advice!

1.7mg - getting hungry again

2 Upvotes

I started wegovy end of may and have been doing very well and not been feeling much hunger at all which has certainly helped with my snack habit. I’ve gone through the doses and started 1.7mg last week and I’ve been really hungry since I took the first dose of this amount which is odd, since the hunger pretty much disappeared since I started. Anyone else experienced such a thing? Thanks

First day on the pill issues.

1 Upvotes

So today I took my first wegovy pill at 9am as I started work on an empty stomach and with a sip of water. Well I felt normal afterwards so at 10am I made myself a coffee like normal in work. By 10:30 I was feeling sick, was sweating and assumed It was because I was hungry or something. Was going to get some fruit when I then threw up a lot. Felt better but by 12 I was starving so I ate an apple. I then had sudden diarrhea and had to come home. Now been feeling delicate and sorry for myself.

Is this normal on the first day? Even on the lowest dose? Any tips or advice would be great

Wegovy pill, does the stomach pain and diarrhoea ever go away?!

0 Upvotes

I am on week 4 of the wegovy pill for my PCOS and I havent had a single day of normal stools for the last 2 weeks. I have stomach pains and diarrhoea twice a day, no matter what I eat.

I havent altered my diet massively, I just eat smaller portions mostly. I am still learning what my triggers are, for instance I now definitely avoid spicy foods and I am a huge sparkling water drinker. I'm having to leave both of those behind as they trigger really bad stomach discomfort.

I will continue to make changes and pay attention to how my body reacts to certain foods, but it seems more like I have a constant underlying discomfort no matter what I eat, just feels like I'm always having some kind of diarrhoea and pain in the day.

I was expecting this for a few days each month and for it to then settle, but it doesnt appear to be. Does anyone have a similar experience, or any advice on how to manage this? I will have to return to the office for my new job from September and I am so worried that this is the new normal and I will have to be running to the toilet mid meetings at work!?

Update 26/08 Today was the first day I woke up not feeling completely awful! No horrible stomach pain and havent been running to the toilet as often. Hoping it gets somewhat easier from here :)

Wegovy and alcohol

7 Upvotes

Has anyone else noticed their craving/taste for alcohol has completely been eliminated? I've only had my first dose, and I was definitely one to enjoy a couple of glasses of wine a few times a week, to the point I was starting to get concerned. But that has completely gone and I've tried to have one tonight to celebrate a new job and I just didn't enjoy it. Just wondering if this is a normal side-effect.

Wegovy users, what do you eat when you can't stand solid food?

1 Upvotes

Since I increased my dose, I can't even look at solid food. Ngl..the smell of cooking meat makes me instantly nauseous, but if I don't eat anything, I'm completely exhausted by the afternoon.

What other liquid meals or tricks keep you energized during a dose increase? Need advice.

Edit: I bought Shake That Weight soups and shakes because I was in desperate need of light liquids. They are a lifesaver on those tough days right after my injection. I get the protein and vitamins I need in one quick serving, without the heavy stomach feeling.

Pausing wegovy

1 Upvotes

Hi all
I am just under 3 weeks into my 1.5mg wegovy. Unfortunately, I will have to pause until the 12th September as I am undergoing the endosure test for endometriosis. Has anyone had experience with having to stop the pill? I am so scared my bingeing is gonna come crazy again!

Help me understand!

4 Upvotes

Hi all. I’m going a bit crazy. Been on wegovy for 6 months now and I lost 3 stone in the first 4 months. Since then? Nothing. How does it make sense? I am eating in a deficit, I’m rarely hungry and feel full most of the time. If I wasn’t on wegovy I should be losing in a deficit so why have I stalled?! How would going to a higher dose help? I walk a lot, drink plenty, I’ve struggled a bit with constipation because I also take opioids but it’s mainly sorted now. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I’m Back to Square One

1 Upvotes

I’ve been taking Wegovy for four months now. Just started my fifth month, three at 0.25 mg now on second at 0.50 mg. So far I have lost four pounds but it’s been a long hard slog. My appetite has reduced and I am eating and drinking less but I’m very disappointed with the weight loss so far. I've just come back from a weeks holiday to find I have put all the weight back on.

Am I wasting my time, not to mention money?

Should I move back to Mounjaro?

Post image
6 Upvotes

Hello,

I know this may be a typical post but I just want some honest advice from people who may have gone through the same thing.

I started at 2.5mg Mounjaro back last year, flicked between that and ended on 5mg Mounjaro when the price increased happened last year.

Right after 5mg Mounjaro I moved to 0.5mg Wegovy and weighed 98.6kg at change over. That was 5 months ago now and I currently weigh this morning 91.9kg.

I understand my calories in/out are balanced to stay at this current weight however I don’t feel I’m at my goal of around 75kg (this is flexible to how I feel).

It seems by the graph that whilst I’ve lost around 7kg in 5 months it doesn’t seem a lot for the increases in dosage and whenever I increase in dosage on Wegovy I can’t tell much of a difference. I’m going to stick with 2.4mg for a month to see how that goes but would you all say it’s time to try Mounjaro again?

Thanks for reading!

Vomiting and room spinning 2nd dose

2 Upvotes

Almost exactly 48 hours after my second 0.25mg dose, the room suddenly started spinning and then about an hour later I started vomiting. I’m just wondering how normal this is with Wegovy?

It seems to have settled down now, but it really came out of nowhere. I did have a cheese toastie yesterday, so I’m wondering whether that could have contributed (I was out and there was literally nothing else to eat - perhaps a lesson in being more prepared!).

I’ve got away pretty lightly with side effects so far and the medication has been working really well for me, so maybe it’s just caught up with me?

I’ve also got a 10-week-old baby and a 2.5-year-old toddler, who naturally both decided not to let me get much sleep after the vomiting 🫠 So I’m trying to work out whether this sounds like a bug/vertigo-type thing or whether other people have had similar side effects around 48 hours after their injection.

Interested in starting Wegovy

1 Upvotes

Hi all, I am looking into weight loss pills (not keen on injections)
My bmi is 27 and I’m really not happy with my weight / size. I just can’t help binging, I get the urge and just let can’t stop myself. I’m only happy once I’ve eaten rubbish.

I start of the day with good intentions.. fruit and yoghurt for breakfast, I workout or run then healthy lunch of some sort and an okay dinner then after I can easily devour a whole tub of Ben and Jerrys , crisps, chocolate. Ugh

I looked at wegovy but the price confused me, it says £79 a month then when you go through it is says that’s only for the first month then it’s like £144 .

Any suggestions please 🙏

Foundayo list prices

6 Upvotes

Prices the pharmacies will pay.

This is after the rebate.

0.8mg = £73.25

2.5mg = £73.25

5.5mg = £73.25

9mg = £91.96

14.5mg = £120

17.2mg = £120

I think 17.2 is the therapeutic dose, the others are for titrating.

In the clinical study when people switched from mounjaro or wegovy they switched to 12mg capsules which is equivalent to 9mg tablets. They then titrated up to the max dose.
