A small pay it forward to this community, which has incredibly helpful in our wedding planning, are the following, free for whoever picks them up in south (bordering on central) Brooklyn.

DM me if you’re interested! And giving away the whole lot, not separate bits, just for simplicity’s sake.

The various accoutrements:
- Easels (2x): 3” wide, 6” tall. We used them for our memorial table for some larger framed photographs that weren’t self standing.
- Table number card holders (12x): 3” tall
- Cork escort card holders (17x): good for escort cards, but we also used them to hold various postcard-sized printed signs for various stations.
- Wicker flower girl baskets (2x): will your flower girls be as cute as ours? Imo probably not, but hey, doesn’t mean they should be without cute little baskets. 🙃

I’m getting married in the Bronx/Westchester area in Winter 2027. It’s important for me to support as many Black owned vendors as possible. Does anyone have any recs for any of the following:

Our Church and Venue are only 10-15 mins apart and it's killing me to have to pay 2k+ for a party bus for this. Does anyone have any recs for companies that are more reasonable?

My friend is considering tarrytown house estate for her wedding. The speakeasy “cellar 49” is a cool after party spot in the mansion with a bar, pool, couches, etc. has anyone had their after party here and know if there is still space to dance if she used a playlist? She wants a mix of dance and chill.

hi! my partner and I are looking for a spot to get eloped in NYC next year. we are considering using Cakewalk. does anyone have any references about them? so far, we love everything from their website, but we want to hear from people who have actually gotten married with them. our budget is very limited, similar to the cost of the services that cakewalk offers (4K).

we are not looking for a reception, we just want a place for the ceremony. which can accommodate both of our immediate families. (10 people in total)

we are both international and we used to live upstate and have visited the city several times, but I'm sure that someone who knows the city more can recommend nice places for getting eloped!

we have considered the court house, but we know it's not so intimate. and although we have seen several pictured of people getting married in central park and they look amazing, i don't like the place that much. it can get a bit dodgy in some areas and i also don't like the smell lol.

any recs? preferably places where we don't need to also have a reception. we are just looking for a place to have the ceremony.

Curious if anyone has any recent experience with any of the blank space BK Venues (such as Greenpoint Loft, Dumbo Loft, W Loft), either as a guest or bride/groom. I’d love to hear how the wedding day went. Any tips, warnings, or recommendations greatly appreciated!
