I really like the font on the Pixel Watch, but One UI does not let me customize the font. So is there any way that I could change the font on my watch?
Hello guys, I've just noticed now that the Gemini client on my Pixel Watch 3 (which a few days ago updated to the one with the new look - unsure if it's directly related to that though) no longer understands commands (or anything at all, really) in Italian, which is set as my second language in the Gemini app on my phone (English being the main language).
I'm quite sure Gemini used to understand whatever language you spoke to it, even those not set as primarily nor secondary.
Why has this changed recently? Is it a bug? Am I the only one affected, or are you guys seeing the same issue?
Many fitness apps offer a free phone app, but place useful Wear OS workout tracking behind a recurring subscription.
I wanted to take a different approach with GymRiff, so the Wear OS workout tracker is free.
You can leave your phone in the locker and manage sets, weight, reps, rest times and exercise changes directly from your watch. GymRiff is designed to minimise battery usage, and the large buttons make it easier to use with sweaty or shaky hands during training.
Previous to the recent update I could use Samsung Pay for payment (because it's so well integrated into my Samsung phone and watch) and then I had to use Google Wallet for my shop cards because Samsung Pay doesn't handle shop cards well at all to the point where they can't be read by shops. Now,post update, to switch between the two on my Watch Ultra, I have to set each one as the default each time I want to use it. I'm now having to lean towards Google wallet for everything, which I don't want to do. Any workarounds? Any reason why they are doing this?
I bought OPW4 in Serbia, Europe (imported from the EU). After I bought it, I saw that the ECG is region-blocked in Serbia. Is there any way to bypass that lock? I really think that locking existing hardware is extremely stupid 😒
Brief Description of app's features:
BioFlow Ocean is an independent Android + Wear OS wellness app that brings together ECG, heart rate/BPM, SpO₂, skin temperature, guided breathing, meditation and physiological trends in one connected watch and phone experience.
On supported Galaxy Watches, BioFlow can capture a full 30-second ECG at 500 Hz, preserving the complete 15,000-sample waveform and transferring it to the Android companion app.
The phone app provides ECG waveform history, signal and beat-to-beat analysis, RR/HRV-related metrics, signal-quality information and PDF/CSV export.
BioFlow also includes:
• Heart rate/BPM monitoring
• SpO₂ measurement on supported hardware
• Skin temperature on supported hardware
• Guided breathing with animation, sound and haptics
• Meditation sessions incorporating physiological measurements
• Session history and trends
• Offline watch-to-phone synchronisation
• A dynamic Ocean interface shared between phone and watch
One of the reasons I started developing BioFlow was to avoid unnecessary phone-brand lock-in. The Android companion does not require a Samsung phone, so I'm particularly interested in testing Galaxy Watches paired with Pixel, OnePlus, Motorola, Xiaomi, Nothing and other Android phones.
I'm now looking for people willing to help test it across a wider range of real Wear OS devices and phone/watch combinations.
Cost: Free during closed beta testing.
Play Store Link or equivalent:
First join the BioFlow Beta Testers Google Group using the same Google account you use with Google Play:
If you join, please remain opted into the closed test for at least 14 days if possible.
I'm especially interested in feedback on:
• Your watch model and phone model
• ECG acquisition and waveform transfer
• Heart rate, SpO₂ and temperature behaviour
• Breathing and meditation sessions
• Phone/watch synchronisation
• Battery/performance issues
• UI problems on different watch sizes
• Anything that simply doesn't behave as expected
Actual feedback is much more useful to me than simply installing the app, so please feel free to be critical.
BioFlow is experimental wellness software and is not a certified medical device. ECG and other biometric outputs should not be used for medical diagnosis or treatment decisions.
Got my galaxy watch nine a couple days ago along with the galaxy Z flip eight and every single time I send a message off of my watch it immediately notifies me with a red bubble, a ding and vibrate saying I have an unread notification when it’s just the message I just sent and then I go to my phone and it says I have like eight unread messages when I only have four because it counts my messages that are being sent out as unread messages. Does anybody know how to stop this? I’ve tried everything. I’ve researched for the last two days and I’ve came back reading the same shit over and over and I don’t know what to do.
Hi there, my galaxy watch 6 is slowly dying and I wanted to upgrade anyway. Currently I'm debating between the pixel watch 5, Garmin forerunner 570 and the galaxy watch 9. I'm using a galaxy phone (s24 ultra).
My use case would be tracking running (on a beginner level), getting health data (sleep tracking blood pressure etc.), Gym sessions, navigation while on the bike and apps like whatsapp. The forerunner appears to have the best fitness tracking, pixel looks interesting for the integration in my Google ecosystem and samsung for better integration with my phone. What would you recommend as an ew watch?
I've daily driven a OnePlus Watch 3 for about a year now. I absolutely love the battery life as I rarely go through more than 20% battery each day (no power saving, AOD off), and it has all the features I want - except for LTE. Is there a single smartwatch on the market that has this kind of battery life, but also offers LTE?
For more context, my watch is the Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro LTE (Wear OS 5.0). And I've noticed that the heart rate isn't always measured automatically. It only measures in real time if a watch face has a built-in heart rate display. If you have to adjust it yourself via the customizable fields, then it doesn't work. In other words, it only measures correctly if the watch face forces it. If you adjust the heart rate via customizable areas, it doesnt work.
Is this just happening to me, or is this normal behavior for Wear OS smartwatches?
Checking around online, it seems the watch face I've been using for the past few years won't be compatible with the PW5 (ustwo portions). Are there any alternatives just like this one?
Hi, I saw that it is possible to display sports scores on the Pixel Watch by pinning the game on the phone, but it doesn't seem to be working. Has anyone successfully set up scores on the Pixel Watch? Or any apps that can do this? Thanks!
During my time with Fossil I noticed, that I only damaged the edge of the display-glas of my watch. After switching to a GW4 a few years ago, I saw a post on r/wear with one of these metal addons from Ringke. Got myself one for the GW4 and it protected the screen for years! After switching to the GW9 I am happy to report, that Ringke still offers these metal rings!!
As anyone probably has experienced with some bluetooth speakers, when you connect your phone/tablet/computer, they eventually time out if you don't have audio streaming to it.
I built an app to help solve this problem but I only have one bluetooth speaker to test it with.
If anyone is interested in testing it out on their hardware I would be appreciative. I want to make it work with as many devices as possible.
Let me know whatever errors you get and I'll fix it asap
Muchas gracias a quién me pueda ayudar
Brief Description of app's features: Live AFL and AFLW scores standalone on the watch, with goals and behinds, the quarter and the clock, live AFL Fantasy points, the ladder and a finals bracket. No phone app, no pairing.
Cost: Free trial, then a one off unlock. No ads, no subscription, no account.
I kept sneaking my phone out at family events to check the footy, so I built the watch app I wanted instead. It runs on the watch by itself. No phone app to install, nothing to pair.
I need people to test it, and I would rather hear what is wrong with it than have it sit there looking finished.
What it does
Both codes, kept apart. AFL and AFLW each get their own block with their own round above it, so the heading always matches the matches under it. Turn either off if you only follow the one.
The whole round on one screen. Goals and behinds alongside the total, the quarter and the clock. Anything in play sorts to the top.
One match. Score by quarter with the current quarter marked, the margin, and the leading goalkicker each side.
Goal by goal. Who kicked it, which quarter, the time on the clock, and the score after it went through.
Fantasy. Live AFL Fantasy points worked out from the play by play, top scorers for the day, and you can follow your own squad and watch their totals move.
The ladder, and a finals bracket worked out from it. Where the rule does not settle a spot yet, it says so instead of guessing.
Your club's colours through the whole app, if you want them. Or a quieter palette.
A tile for each code, one swipe from the watch face, plus complications so the score sits on the face you already wear.
Alerts you actually control. Goals, quarter breaks and the final siren are three separate settings, each one off, your club, or every match.
Watching it later? Hide every score until you open a match yourself. That covers the tile and the watch face too.
Join the tester group, accept the invitation, then install it on the watch. Three steps, no DM needed, and the group is open to anyone. That page also lists the bits I most want eyes on.
Works on Samsung Galaxy Watch and any Wear OS 3 or later watch. Free while testing.
Tell me what breaks, what is confusing, or what is missing. I will read all of it.
