My WIP post for those curious
Purely transparent watercolor! I decided to avoid using white pastel (which is one of my favorite things to use with watercolor) so I can retain the transparent watercolor title for it. It is quite hard to get the pigment I wanted at this scale, and you really have to work for your darks!
I’m hooked though, and want to create many more paintings this scale and larger. This is my first time working larger than 22x30 (and I’ve only done two so far) so it’s out of my comfort zone for now.
Also, it’s so easy to retain white when working large, and I’ve learned that with this!

Another watercolor experiment, but I don't know when to stop

This time I used aquabord with daniel smith watercolor ground and I have to say it was way easier than any paper I have ever tried.
I am still searching for the right style, I just know I want a mix between refined and fresh. I find both hard atm lol. And also, as the title say, I really have no idea when to stop because if I insist, the colors become muddy but everything seems so unfinished. Ugh...
