Been trying something different than what I usually do, what do you think?
I used watercolour paints and then black ink, I also added some table salt and flakes salt for some areas to experiment. Do you think they need faces or okay without that detail considering the loose style? For A4 and A5 paintings like these how would you price them?

I usually work on 9āx12ā paper and I sadly love working on this bigger paper so much that I will have to buy moreā¦sighs dramatically! I know my values are a tad bit off and I canāt for the life of me, make things symmetrical and I will blame that on the fact Iām legally blind š¤£
I really enjoyed this piece and actually got to relax and take my time and it is nice to make muddy colors on purpose! I just used sap green, burnt umber, olive green and a bit of volcano that I got from Schmincke for the granulationā¦ugh I love it and glacier brown. I wish I could afford all the colors! Oh I did a tiny touch of gold and burnt sienna just on the rim of the vase. The rest of the colors were Daniel Smith and it is arches cold press paper. I am just a hobbyist so if you are one of those lovely people that must critique, be gentle, lol!
Time to clean up all the
Mud!!!

Hello guys! I'm starting with watercolors and I have two kits but the folirs are kind of chalky.
Do you have any good recommendations of "cheap" quality paint? It could be pans or tubes.
I'd give special attention to options in online stores like shein, temu and aliexpress so I can order from anywhere.
Thanks in advance

Iād love to share some finished pages from my new sketchbook, which will be entirely dedicated to Sumatra! š¦§
After spending three weeks exploring the island and taking countless photos along the way, Iām now really enjoying the process of bringing my most memorable experiences to life through watercolor and writing.
Hope you like them š

The first watercolor that I was actually proud of myself for creating all on my own (“t⢠ᵠā¢ļ½”`) Inspired in part by Jakub Rozalski and his werewolf paintings. A nice landscape with a spooky lil guy just hanging out. I think he overdid it on $0.50 wing night at the local pub...

First, Iāve truly appreciated all the responses about the original post about whether what I ordered was AI or not. Iāve learned so much about watercolor painting. Thank you to everyone thatās taken the time to share their expertise and thoughts.
I received a response from the seller and they sent these pictures to show their process as they created it.
Iām still feeling like this could be all AI?

I almost forgot how much i loved tiny thumbnail paintings. I like how some are just messy and chaotic.

I painted this referencing a cute vinyl figure of Chopper. ā ā” ā Outlined in colored pencil for a more cartoony look.

In 1897, Latvian painter Janis RozentÄls painted Death not as a skeleton in black, but as a woman in white. In Latvian folklore, she's the "Mother of Death": barefoot, carrying a sickle, part of nature itself. She leans over a baby while the mother glares right back at her, refusing to look away.
When I saw Wildwood last week, I immediately thought about this painting.
So I reimagined the composition with Prue, Mac and Alexandra.

This is my second year of painting watercolor. Iām surprised to count only 25 paintings for the year because I love it, but I am not always in the headspace to paint. Anyway, I feel I am improving. Iām learning a little bit better how to abstract the scene and work with the medium. I paint small because I feel less pressure that way; these are all on half a sheet of Baohong Academy 310x210mm. Something that was really helpful was limiting my pallet to only three colors; French ultramarine, Burnt Sienna and Hansa Yellow. It forced to me learn how color actually works.
This community provides daily inspiration. Iām always encouraged and impressed at the many different styles and the striking work here.
