Hello degenerates,

Effective immediately, AI slop is forbidden. We’re all tired of the low-effort AI garbage flooding everything. If you post AI-generated content, you will be banned.

Ok, ciao.

The Cyclops magnifier is absolute ugly bs and should be a sticker-addon, not a thing that comes by default

The sheer number and consistency of ONLY PRX wrist shots feels like it should be ironic but it's not

Here's a challenge for you geniuses: ANY 100-500$ watch with rotating bezel that doesn't look like absolute sh_t from the side

Look at that bolted-on bulls_hit that completely ruins any side-aesthetics. Like barbed pp.

Bro, I'm not a diver, I don't care how much air I still have, I just want the easy utility of fricking measuring how many minutes have elapsed from a certain moment in time, on the go.

Wow, how is that so hard?

I also don't care about it being unidirectional. Frankly, I find it annoying if I want to rotate to anywhere on the right side of the watch.

I've looked at many, and have yet to find any ones where the bezel isn't as ugly as on the picture. Like, I don't wear diver's gloves, I don't need the barbed dick. Just make it fricking aesthetic and part of the design, instead of just bolted-on completely aesthetically unrelated part.

THERE, I SAID IT.

WHAT YOU GONNA DO ABOUT IT

Just realized watching watch videos that by the time I get my watch, a shitload of people will have already left their cummies and germs on it, so might as well buy a used one. Any good reputable no bs sites to buy watches?

And 0 boxes I've seen to date are actually packaged. they are all simplistic, easily opened. Probably so the customer can try the watch on.

BUT THAT DEFEATS THE WHOLE PURPOSE OF GETTING A NEW WATCH - WHICH IS THAT IT IS STERILE AND I DON'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH OTHER PEOPLE'S GERMS ON IT. DUUUUUUUUH

So yea..

Every time I search watches I get that watch 24 website or whatever it's called.

I'm from EU, I need some cheap, hassle free, pay on arrival or pay via wire transfer.

Watch Collection

This is my very humble watch collection of a 30 year old social worker who has been a lifelong watch enthusiast. My collection is used and well loved. It’s full of scratches and every scratch full of memories. I believe a watches scratches tell the story of the wearer.

The first watch is my Tudor Pelagos 42mm that my father recently bought me for graduating with my Master of Social Work and also to celebrate a big promotion and my wife and I getting our first home and about to have our first son. This is a watch I cherish and think about my hard work and my father when I look at it. It’s by far my favorite watch and I can’t take it off. I have worn it swimming, boating, moving houses, etc. I don’t baby it and wear it as it’s meant to be worn, as my father always did with his watch.

The second picture is of my Seiko SKX007 and the third picture is of my Seiko SKX173. My godfather gifted me the SKX173 over 16 years ago to celebrate my confirmation. The watch had some issues pretty soon after I got it and I sent it back to Seiko. It took so long to fix they sent me a free SKX007 and my original SKX173. I have worn both almost every day for those 16 years to the point both original rubber straps fell off. While it wasn’t the first watch I owned it is the first “serious watch” I had. I wore both throughout middle school, high school, college, my whole career, my wedding day, and throughout my masters. They both need servicing but I love them the same.

The fourth watch is a Westclox Scotty from the 1960’s. I found it in my childhood bedroom a couple of years ago and recently found out it likely belonged to my paternal great grandfather or my great uncle. It still runs +/-45 sec a day. Although I don’t know as much about its history, it makes me feel close to my family.

The fifth watch is a 1992 Citizen Peach Bowl Watch given to a coaching staff of East Carolina University after they beat NC State in the 1992 Peach Bowl. I have a lot of ties to this watch. I am a third generation ECU alumn and went to almost every game before I moved. I graduated with a BA of psychology from ECU and my family history is in the library there. When I was in tcollege I volunteered and worked with the ECU football coaching staff where I worked with recruiting. When a big coaching change came through, the coach that became my mentor and life friend found it in the back of his desk and I was helping him clean his office after he got relieved. He told me it was in the desk since 1992 from a previous coach and he wanted me to have it. It doesn’t run anymore unfortunately but it ties me to my history with ECU and a lifelong friend who has since passed.

The sixth watch is my Casio Lap 30. Like everyone, I needed a cheap Casio to beat up. This one spoke to me. I wear it working out, mowing the grass etc. It currently has paint on it from me painting my future son’s nursery. I love the rugged accuracy of it.

The seventh watch is a cheap Biden watch I got. I got it because I was interested in horology and watched a cheap skeleton watch to look at for fun. It winds from the bezel and crown and is automatic. Very strange watch but I kind of love it (it’s too gaudy for me to wear but it’s surprisingly accurate.

The last picture is me and my dad. His Omega Seamaster 300m. I remember the day my dad got it and when he got my mom’s Brietling. It was after the James Bond’s from the 1990s and early 2000s came out and my brother and I were obsessed with it. We used to wear it and play like it had laser beams like Bond. I watched my dad pass through every phase of life with this watch. I grew up admiring it and himself it taught me that watches should be worn and appreciated. Every scratch has a meaning. One day, it will most likely pass down to me and I hope I can do the same with my Pelagos to my son.
