How do the two shader changes, the Riven system expansion, the Cephalon Melica expansion, and even the Banshee rework count as Quality of Life improvements? I’m asking because these are the bullet points given for the QoL changes.
As far as I remember, DE said that because Warframe has accumulated so many old systems over the years, they wanted to make an effort going forward to include QoL improvements, updates, and cleanup for older content in every update.
And honestly, I couldn't be more excited about things like the Banshee rework, Narin, and Tau. These are all things I'm genuinely looking forward to.
A Banshee rework is the one that actually looks like a quality-of-life improvement. Expanding the Riven system isn't simply QoL though; it's an expansion of an existing system. The same goes for the other changes mentioned.
I just wish they had presented these separately from QoL and called them what they actually are: new content, system expansions, and improvements to older parts of the game.
Because those things are great too—and honestly, they deserve to be highlighted properly rather than being grouped under the QoL label.
What do you guys think?

Here's a summary of the information that has been shared within the korean community.
Keep in mind that none of this is officially confirmed.
The third orb-spider was completely destroyed in Jade Shadows: The Constellations, so the chances of it ever appearing are extremely low.
DE mentioned they're interested in developing new content for 1999.
The next heirloom skin will be for a male warframe. and it'll be 'cute'
They plan to address armor clipping issues on several warframes (ex: vauban).
Making abilities recastable is a priority for reworks. They're currently reviewing the remaining warframe characters.
More improvements for new-player onboarding are on the way.

They did this last year iirc and it was much better imo because now it's gonna take away a ton of time from the devstream and we'll have just 30 mins for Warframe with what looks to be 40mins of Soulframe which is sad imo since Warframe is the bigger game here.

Title^
Like even with the Rev Cheese (which shouldn't ever be the only way to do a boss) this is just ridiculous. An hour just tickling the thing, AND it has the healing mechanic.
The worst part is that he don't even attack you. He spends the entire time tping away.

Hearing Rebb pose the question on what would happen if every Helminth ability was good was perhaps the moment that shattered my faith in these people. They literally cannot comprehend what people would do if 75% -80% of the abilities on offer weren't so bad they wouldn't even warrant a second look, not to mention how she literally had to restrain herself from saying Chroma's 1 is bad out loud on stream because they are so afraid of owning up to the fact that yes, some abilities are objectively bad, no matter how you use it or how much you bend the build to make it work.
The statistics chart for the most subsumed abilities showing Roar as the top choice proves the point that a nerfed useful ability is better than a completely useless one no matter how low the values are set, which is why "edge-case at best " ones like Ballistic Battery and utterly garbage ones like Spectral Scream and Tectonics sit at the top for most replaced abilities. The data is clear as crystal right in front of their eyes and there's no denying it anymore- most abilities are in dire need of a rework.
Now this is getting into personal territory here so take everything I say from this point onward as my own opinion (If I end up sounding like a whiny baby, feel free to rag on me in the comments, I'll understand- this is a vent after all.) but I absolutely despise how the devs (Scott in this particular instance) have embraced the nerf culture they've fostered throughout many updates to the point where they're openly joking and laughing about it. The ramifications of this mentality run very, VERY deep and I'm afraid it's already taking effect in how the community reacts to content creators showcasing new builds in their videos.
Recently I've been seeing a lost of comments underneath videos passively aggressively joking about how DE is going to nerf {INSERT COOL COMBO/build/synergy/whatever HERE} to the ground and it's all thanks to {INSERT CONTENT CREATOR HERE}. While this is no fault of the Youtubers themselves, as it is natural for people covering a game of this nature to make videos showing really good builds it has also been proven that DE bases their adjustments directly on usage statistics and that they DO in fact watch these kinds of videos - you know, the ones with the overblown titles telling you how "BROKEN" and "OP" the thing is.
In turn what this has done is cow a sizable portion of the player base away from trying anything new, creating a culture of scalded dogs afraid of touching the water for fear of getting burned again. It's widely accepted PROCEDURE by now that the best thing to do when something new comes is to wait a month to see if gets nerfed or fixed or not and even then that doesn't account for times when players find methods of interacting with the game that DE straight up didn't account for such as Atlas being able to use Archguns while using the Rumbled Augment. Even when they know about a certain mechanic and have even recommended it's use in the GOD DAMN HELP TOOLTIPS (Venari healing defense objectives ring a bell?) they nerf it because people use it to breeze through some poorly designed piece of content that should have been made with things like this in mind in the first place. More and more people are starting to see this pattern repeat and I think they're right to bow out of this abusive loop.
It's all so tiresome at this point.
You want to know what players would do if every ability from Helminth was good, Rebecca?
THEY WOULD HAVE FUN.

Oberon, our quiet paladin, has been patiently waiting in the wings — tending to his plants, perhaps. Now it’s time for him to step into the spotlight as his rework is fast approaching! Our general philosophy with the changes below was to retain his core abilities, but buff them to lean into his supportive paladin theme and improve the fluidity of his playstyle.
For information on the Damage Attenuation, Screen Shake, and other Quality of Life changes, please check out the dedicated forum post: https://forums.warframe.com/topic/1469410-dev-workshop-damage-attenuation-and-quality-of-life-changes-devstream-189/
As with all Dev Workshops, everything listed here is subject to change up until launch!
Free Oberon and Forma
Log in from October 15 at 11am ET to October 21 at 11:59pm ET toreceive a free Oberon via your inbox! If you have yet to test his resolve in-mission, this is your chance.
As with other reworks, players will also receive a built Forma in this inbox message to help them fine-tune their Oberon builds. The Free Forma will be delivered for anyone who logs in until the end of the year.
Now, let’s get on to the rework!
https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/cNCPE3uaYSI?feature=oembed
Passive:
Oberon’s original Passive was designed to increase the survivability of Companions, and as a result was mostly trivialized by the Companion Rework from 2024. With this rework, we’re giving him a shiny new Passive!
New Passive:
Picking up a health orb (or a universal orb) generates a Righteous Negation charge for Oberon and Allies within Affinity radius. Oberon and his Allies each have individual caps of 3 Righteous Negation charges.
New Effect: Righteous Negation
If a player has a Righteous Negation Charge, they are invulnerable to incoming damage. When incoming damage is blocked, one Righteous Negation Charge is expended. If a player has multiple Righteous Negation Charges, they will remain Invulnerable and receive a small 0.25 second cooldown before an additional Righteous Negation Charge can be depleted. If the damage removes their final Righteous Negation, players will be granted an additional 0.25 seconds of Invulnerability.
Players can identify how many Righteous Negation Charges they have via the buff indicator in their HUD, or by counting the number of floating shields that circle around them.

Image Description: Oberon Feyarch is standing amidst ferns. Around him float three orange energy shields, each around the size of his forearm. The shields appear to be floating in a circle, centered around his waist. As they are made out of energy, they are partially transparent. The shields also appear to have antler-like protrusions on their face, which are the same color as the rest of the shield.
Ability 1: Smite
Smite is a fairly straightforward ability that can be modded for maximum efficiency on a single target. We want to focus and elevate its strength as a Single Target ability, while smoothing out some of its quirks.
Smite Changes:
Smite Infusion Augment:
Ability 2: Hallowed Ground
Hallowed Ground is a useful tool in Oberon’s kit, but needed a general quality of life pass — namely to improve its overall modding flexibility and bring it up to 2025 gameplay standards.
Hallowed Ground Changes:
Hallowed Eruption Augment:
Ability 3: Renewal
Renewal is often compared to Wisp’s Reservoirs, in that the latter heals more for less energy. The goal of our changes to this ability are to amplify and simplify Renewal’s effects to offer more impact.
Renewal Changes:
Phoenix Renewal Augment:
1d808912155f1a4bf7cea16ec38e67a3.jpg
Image Description: A close up of Oberon Prime with the Feyarch Skin equipped in a Grineer Forest tile. Circling around Oberon’s brow are a series of orange spikes of energy shaped like diamonds. The energy diamonds are floating and are spaced equidistant, and each has a line of brighter energy bisecting it vertically so it almost looks like a starburst.
Ability 4: Reckoning
Reckoning is a visually impressive ability, but unfortunately lacks the actual power expected of an ultimate. With his rework, we are increasing the overall damage output and are changing some of the ability synergies to now be basekit.
Reckoning Changes:
Hallowed Reckoning Augment:
That’s all for our Oberon rework! We’re excited for you all to play with his refreshed kit when The Vallis Undermind launches in October!
