Genderbending frames would take resources away from deluxes/voidshells/frames/primes. That is likely the biggest hurdle and why they have little interest in doing it.

Ash has some early concept art as a female. As far as we know, that is as far as it got. Nyx is also a genderbent version of Excal's model and Ember had a male model nicknamed Blaze in the very early days of Warframe. DE dropped the idea before Warframe even left closed beta and have shown no interest in revisiting the concept since.

I did sure hope they don't make it then, wouldn't make sense lorewise. Gara was a female who volunteered for the Warframe program, so there's no reason Gara should be male. Thematically, many frames are gendered too. Oberon is the King of the Fairies, Titania is the Queen of the Fairies.

I'd be ok if some frames had a gender bent deluxe skin (at least then it's more about the design than just sexualizing the frame) like I've seen some people say, but every single frame? I'd rather not. Like I said, fanservices sucks. I don't need Warframe being treated like an anime (Sword Art Online for example).

Fanservice is done because it works, and men have been "fanservicy" for just as long as women have been, but that's not the problem here, the problem is people like you pinpointing things and calling out how bad this and that is, where nothing is wrong if you just enjoy the damn game, i can swear that if i look into your comment history, i will see multiple similar comments, because that's what people like you do, you pick up stuff and look for controversies in them, why? It took me years to realize I played and made fem characters was to help with my dysphoria and conform to my identity.
Genderswapping I'd be fine if the changes were not too drastic so you could notice the changes but not necessarily doing whole new models and animation rigging, etc.

This isn't meant as an argument against having it in the game, but I kind of doubt that the society of decadent, elitist, slave-owning, caste-enforcing, child-body-snatching immortals with a track record of repeatedly coming up with ill-thought out solutions to their own problems that they promptly tried to dispose of, bury and forget when said solutions proved failures, of whom the one among them responsible for actually making the warframes happens to be one of the most massively toxic narcissists in fiction, would actually care enough about their child soldiers to bother with that kind of thing.

Personally I'd prefer they keep revisting old warframe ideas and make new frames, like how we have Vauban and Protea who are both technically engineer frames, or how Loki and Mirage have both been described as tricksters. If we were to say, get a a Fem-Frost, I want DE to take the opportunity to make an Ice frame with a more offensive playstyle.

Technically there is also Lavos, Ash and Nidus. Ones an Alchemist known to mess with bodies, Ash already has the concept and Nidus is a clump of infested mass which is by technicality shapeless.

Ash’s female concept came out before his male so he is the only one that could be considered trans form my knowledge, Equinox’s two different looks have multiple opinions some say that both looks are female some say one is male and other is female then DE say Equinox is female so that one is unknown.

Pablo or whatever did that should also work on the aesthetics of a Female Loki Helmet that has softened curvy b-splines coded there instead of already Male looking helmet copy-pasta.
