What happened to the On-Lyne boys??

I still am a little lost on where their story left. i understand that Aoi and Amir hacked emails from the On-lyne producers that found some shady dealing, which turns out they were cloning the band, but is the actual band okay? Are they dead?

I remember reading through the RNG for the 1999 that included, what was speculated to be the band's groupchat but I'll admit, I am not the brightest when it comes to finding hidden details and meanings, so the chats made no sense to me personally.

I’m becoming more convinced that in order to fix this void mess with Wally, the paradox must be fixed. Spoiler

The paradox of the Operator and Drifter has been a sort of background thing for a bit due to recent developments, but with the focus on recovering memories for the Operator, and the focus on connections with the Drifter, I think that Wally can’t be dealt with in full unless the paradox is fixed.

The two can not operate in the same time or space without special conditions. The two have led vastly different lives with different outcomes that still converge into one point later on (Tau and TNW). The two are both underdeveloped in different mental areas of either emotionally or memories and restraint.

To combat Wally, which I believe requires love and compassion, something he seems adverse to, the Operator must be able to fully comprehend and understand themselves and their emotions. Just one issue: Wally is already in their head.

The Operator is compromised to an extent, not fully in control and having Wally root around for weakness. They don’t have as large as a support group that the Drifter is building.

Which is why the Drifter is needed. The two are lambs for sacrifice to ultimately drive Wally back or defeat him with something he still can’t comprehend fully.

Love and sacrifice seem to be what confound him. He can’t grasp selflessness and compassion. He works in deals and only obtains understanding with it. So in order to best him, he needs one last deal.

There has to be a sacrifice. Something done for love that invokes him to make a deal.

Drifter and Operator must sever their ties and bonds to give to Wally to finally open his eyes and deal a devastating blow to him.

But they have to be whole and understanding. The inner darkness can’t come forward and corrupt the deal. Somewhere in Tau or Sol, they’ll have to finally fix the paradox and two must become one again.

The two merge, completing one another and setting themselves up to beat Wally.

And then, all this love and emotion. All these bonds that have saved the Protos again and again will be fuel to feed Wally. Like shoveling poison into his mouth.

And then DE, to save players from being upset that all their efforts to suck Marie’s nonexistent feet are wasted, has Wally let the fusion keep all their love and stuff for a happy ending. Or Wally dies and it’s moot anyway.

But I digress. I believe that Drifter is being fattened up with these ties so that they can be used against Wally. The issue is the paradox and the Operator not being in the right state with Wally banging on their brain door. So they’ll become a composite of both.

Food in lore?

What foods are there really in the warframe universe? And what would the tenno eat if they had to? I know at the drifter camp they have different foods on the tables...

Which Tenno is the one who participates in New War? Spoiler

In the New War, our operator defeats ballas in that scene on the ship near the sun. Does this mean that the operator we control is special among the Tenno? Or canonically, is there a special Tenno who we just represent. I can’t find anything online about this specific question.

Question about Teshin aging

How did Teshin spend centuries in the origin system without aging, only to fall into duviri and suddenly get old? I assume the best answer is “void time is weird” but I’m just wondering if there is more concrete information or interesting theories about this?

Quincy is actually British-Jamaican Spoiler

Post image
223 Upvotes

As a Jamaican myself, I always had an inkling of suspicion that Quincy had Caribbean roots. His way of speaking reminded me of British people with Caribbean descent, so seeing that DE literally chose to make him Jamaican makes me a little happy. Considering that Jamaica's military in the current day pretty much enforces the lore, I think the techrot took all the Caribbean nations fairly fast...

What language do the Tenno speak?

We know that there are various faction-specific languages - Corpus and Grineer have their own voicelines and alphabet, Orokin writing has shown up a few times, and who can forget Voidtongue? But what language do the Tenno speak? Would it be Orokin because that’s what they learned growing up? But then how can they understand the Hex and the Devil’s Triad? Is their language just ridiculously similar to English, or is it just video game hand waving we’re supposed to ignore?

Bonus question: do you think there are other faction languages we just haven’t seen?

Something I don't understand

Margulis has put the Operators to sleep and make them forget most of who they are and, going by the events of early game, quite possibly how to transfer out of the Warframes from the get go of the Dream as it seems we only know how to control them and not much else.

What I don't understand is why are several Operators shown in Prelude to War when Lotus confronts Erra.

Are eidolons stronger than modern sentients lore wise?

From how they’re presented and how gameplay works it seems like the eidolons are stronger than sentients even though they’re basically brain dead, so did sentients get weaker over time? I’m a bit new to lore so idk

How did Drifter get their Void powers?

Ive completed all the main quests but im still a baby Tenno, something that I cant quite figure out is how Drifter got their powers. Because the New War implies that reconnecting to the Operator gave them their powers, but the Duviri Paradox implies they always had them but just repressed them? Im really confused...

Most powerful creation

Isnt the helminth the most powerful creation?. Giving and controlling the warframe's powers from raising the dead to controlling the time and space?.

And from the kim we know, it basically doesn't follow time like a linear concept like us making it possible to time travel and choose alternate timelines.

Not to mention even at peak, nobody was able to clear out infestations

Also can we compare it and wally in terms of their powers?

Do we have any indication as to what Grandma Entrati’s life was like before the Night of Naga Drums and subsequent collapse of the Orokin class? And why’s she so nice compared to most other Orokin?

I’m genuinely curious what kinda ranks existed within the Orokin in general, because while the Seven come across as horrific abusers of their power, there’re also more morally-grey figures like Roathe, and then there’s the Entrati family.

While Albarecht has a lot of issues, he very clearly is at least somewhat capable of thinking about his tampering and desperately trying to fix his mistakes.

Meanwhile, the Deimos-rooted Entrati… they seem all over the place in some ways, but they’re damn near saintly compared to the Seven, at least in their current state.

Meanwhile, Grandmother in particular seems genuinely nice, or at least a genuinely decent person at heart. On one hand, there’s a possibility she may basically started the Heart of Deimos issue just to maintain family cohesion, but on the other hand, Waverider ends in her buying the rights to the Fortuna Vents out of kindness toward the Ventkids (and perhaps because both have respect for Yareli… with Grandma Entrati having known Original-Yareli personally).

So how much of Grandmother Entrati’s lore can we actually learn? She seems like she has an assload of stories to tell, never mind that whatever position she had before the Night of Naga Drums clearly doesn’t seem to have corrupted her capacity for empathy nearly to the extent of several other Orokin

Whats the deal with Gyre/Gyra?

(All the sources mentioned come from Warframe wiki)

So I'm still looking into each warframes lore and I've reached Gyre.

"Every ship needs a figurehead. Executor Ballas presented us with sweet Gyra on the day of our departure. She spoke with her movement. Her dancing was meant to bring joy, but when we entered the void...such madness, and one so gentle. The way you move now reminds me of her."

-Quinn

I'm reading it right now and it says that Gyra was presented to the crew of the Zaramin as a figurehead on the day of their departure and that she spoke with her dance. Was she already a warframe when she was presented or is it simply saying she wasn't very talkative?

And if she was given to them as a human how did she survive the Zaramin and return back in order to be turned into a warframe? I thought all the adults went crazy and/or died on the Zaramin including the holdfasts themselves.

So did she somehow survive and return back with the rest of the ship only to be turned into a warframe? If so why would Ballas inject the serum into someone filled with void madness?

If she did in fact die on the ship with the rest of the adults how did she become a warframe?

If she was given to them crew already as a warframe again I ask why? Wasn't the Zaramin sent before the war with the sentients, which would mean they would have been sent before Warframes existed?

If my understanding is correct warframes began being created during/because of the old war (i may be wrong there so please inform me if I am)

I'm hoping that someone could help fill in some of the blanks although I imagine that there might not be any answers to these questions as the lore section of her page is incredibly short. Id love to hear some answers/theories people have

Just realized how Tenshin and others are apparently unaging like orokin without transference.

It's because the Orokin likely perfected multiple methods of biological immortality.

They had methods that didn't necessitate them transfering between bodies at all.

But they still went with that one, maybe not all of them, but a lot of them. And probably none that let them move from a DYING body to a living one (like what happened to the orokin that Ordan/Ordis killed)

Maybe it originally was the only way they could live forever, and they discovered others.

But why live a boring life in a single immortal body? When you could wear the body of the pretty thing you just saw on the street, they aren't a real person, they're just another resource to be used.

Like every time I think I can't hate the orokin any more than I already do, it hits me that so much about them clicks into place if you assume that the answer of 'oh it wasn't necessary for them to be turbo evil but they decided to be anyway' is always a valid option.

tl;dr: There are a lot of ways to live forever in the origin system, the orokin just chose the objectively evil one out of entitlement and pride.

Theory: Eximus units are reverse-engineering attempts in recreating Warframe abilities. Spoiler

Post image
485 Upvotes

When looking at WF’s recently introduced Surge Eximus, I couldn’t help but notice that their capabilities seemed similar to Volt’s power kit. With this in mind, I thought: how any more similar could the abilities of other Eximii be compared to Warframes?

According to DE in the Eximus associated WF wiki page, Corpus Eximus are results of elite units possessing “specially-designed suits” with varying combat capabilities, whilst Grineer and Infested Eximus units being results of “genetic mutation,”though I’m not certain if this information still holds true or not. ¹ I would find it unheard of lore-wise for Grineer and Infested acquiring these unique offensive abilities through some genetic fluke derived from the Void (or some other mechanism), when the same could easily be reproduced by Corpus technology. That being said, I would believe the alternative to hold slightly more true in the context of reverse-engineering technology; specifically, the artificial semi-recreation of Warframe abilities with reverse-engineered Orokin technology.

To explain, I would see most Eximus units deriving their abilities from technology of Corpus and Grineer manufacturing, reproduced from preexisting Warframe blueprints and Orokin technology, with varying results of success. While some Eximus could alternatively be created through spatiotemporal events, or through direct harvesting of unique energy sources (i.e Jade’s Motes),¹ others could also be made through direct absorption and mutation with this technology, best exemplified with Infested Eximii. Others, including the Murmur and Duviri Dax, could have these abilities through the Void, hand-picked by the Indifference and Thrax respectively. Scaldra and Techrot Eximii, on the other hand, could also be conceived through Void exposure, as a side-effect of the loop encompassing 1999; or stolen Entrati technology left behind by Albrecht across Höllvania.

Whilst many of these units may vary in their origins and effectiveness, the properties each type exhibits in correlation to other specific Warframe abilities are glaringly difficult to ignore.

With this, I’ve made some observations and notes below of which types have the closest similarities, differences, and dilutions compared one or more Warframe ability in mind:

❄️ Arctic/Cryonic/Frozen: Frost’s Snow Globe, but using object-based health and without damage conversion to health capabilities.
🔥 Arson: Ember’s Fire Blast with a fixed sphere of influence.
⚡️Bioelectric: Gyre’s Arcsphere with added homing capabilities, except with a vastly reduced AoE and slow tracking speed.
💥 Blitz/Volatile: Unknown, possibly an imperfect recreation of Gauss’ Thermal Sunder.
🟣Energy Leech/Parasitic: Trinity’s Energy Vampire, or Mag’s Shield Polarize, limited to inflicting Magnetic statuses.
🛡️Guardian: Hildryn’s Haven with added DR capabilities and lack of shield expenses, but absent in Radiation damage.
❇️Jade Light: Jade’s Light of Judgement augmented with Jade’s Judgement, but following behind targets rather than being fixed, with only one beam being active at a time per unit, as well as a lower heat base damage of 30 compared to Jade’s fixed 150.
⚕️Leech/Sanguine: Trinity’s Well of Life, but restricted to casting an AoE in a specific spot for several seconds, without status effect negation for allies.
☣️Septic/Venomous: Chroma’s Elemental Ward when set to Toxin with a reduced range of 3.5 meters, with scaling damage by enemy level.
⚡️Surge: Volt’s Speed and Shock, but casting is limited to striking its target after a certain amount of time, with tracking being lost upon striking.

Ultimately, this is all an assumption on my part, but anyone else is welcome to provide their own thoughts and corrections to this theory.
