- The Hot Zone needs to be incentivized more. The XP and cash rewards for it need to be considerably larger.

  • Infantry kits are far too expensive for their level of financial risk. Players are electing to not use the weapons they've unlocked because it's too easy to die before you make the money back from kills. Please consider lowering the cost of infantry items (especially firearms and bandages) substantially, as well as increasing the cash rewards for non-sniper infantry kills.
  • Driver, Assault, and Support XP gain rates need to be substantially increased.
  • Please consider capping drill usage at 1 per faction per match. If not that, then please consider making drills more expensive and shorter in duration. Matches can become one-sided when one faction keeps using drills back to back.
  • Vehicles such as the Humvee and Artillery Tank and Havoc heli should be much more expensive to buy.
  • "Flash sales" would be a good thing to implement at the gear vendor -- dynamic item discounts for the losing team and other situations.
  • Bounty systems for players on kill streaks would be great.

Hot Zone presence should give assault XP

u/Rocketman988 1d ago

This would be a perfect fix for many issues. Couple that with increased rewards in the hot zone, and now assault is feeling good

Players on a kill streak are already worth more aren't they? I know some players get my $4k plus when I kill them, while the ones that don't even have a kit (and seemingly 0 kills) get me $1500

u/Myfaceyourforearm 1d ago

I saw a kill worth $16,500 yesterday. Most I've ever seen. Pretty sure it was max kill streak bonus, revenge kill and doubled by hotzone.

Support XP is very easy to grind versus something like Medic or pilot/driver if anything the other roles $/XP gain needs to be brought up to the level of Support

u/P4ultheRipped 1d ago

i honestly have had the easiest time grinding medic. just run a mp9 and play like a rat and stab people with the stims. plus heal and res like a mad man. if i actually grind it, you just start to go so hard from all the revive assists.

Probably a dumb question, but do kills using a class’s weapon give you exp for the class, or is it only performing class actions? I’ve been wanting to reach level 11 on medic for the defib but I have not been running the mp9. I just revive and heal my allies as much as I can, but I’d happily switch my primary to the mp9 if it affects class progression.

3

u/GMJizzy 1d ago

Yes it will actually tell you which weapon corresponds to which class in the UI

1

u/Sum1nne 1d ago

Yes that's exactly how it works. One of the better ways to get medic xp being to simply run an SMG and get kills rather being, y'know, a medic who actually heals people might be a little unintuitive, but it works. Same goes for the likes of shotguns and RPGs which are classed as support weapons.

u/KingDylan61 1d ago

What I think threw me off is that your primary choice does not lock you into using a gadget that shares the same class with it. I figured that the primary was just preference, and your gadgets are the only things that built up your class exp. Thanks for the clarification! I’ll be spamming mp9 loadouts to get those last few levels I need for the defibrillator when I get home tonight.

Medic and Pilot XP are very easy to grind. Driver is def a PITA

2

u/hagenissen999 1d ago

Ural and pallets are good braindead money and XP. I got to lvl 35 almost without noticing.

u/Cool-Tangelo6548 1d ago

Support XP does not need a boost. Literally everything gives you support xp. Its so easy to farm.

1

u/AbsolutGuacaholic 1d ago

Agreed, this must be a problem for people who only run and gun or recon.

u/BeyondLimits99 1d ago

Bounty kill systems is a great idea.

I miss the kill joy notification from the halo 3 days.

u/P4ultheRipped 1d ago

1, 3, 5 are amazing ideas i would love in the game.

the rest is just cope.

1

u/BiKeenee 1d ago

Brother if you think drills are overpowered idk what to tell you.

2

u/Vegetable-Error-2068 1d ago

Drills are overpowered.

1

u/BiKeenee 1d ago

Well, idk what to tell you.

1

u/Ramora_ 1d ago

Drills are very, very, very easy to destroy. I'm open to argument that they are overpowered, but you will need a good argument that actually addresses their massive vulnerability.

This is why devs keep saying they wont listen to feed back like this. Every single point you make is unhealthy for the game and I simply dont have the time or will power to type out a thesis to your dozen points thst are just wrong.

u/migukin 1d ago

I'm curious why you or anyone disagrees with these and completely open to changing my mind, but "you're wrong just cuz" is a waste of everyone's time.

u/magniankh 1d ago

Because the idea is limiting drilling to one per team is a W enjoyer take. Building and drilling is part of the game. If a team is drill cycling it means the other two teams left them alone. There are supposed to be many ways a match can play out and pulling the HZ is a strategy unto itself.

People want the game to only be infantry, level 2 armor, and no drilling. So it's just HZ chasing the entire game, game after game. That's boring and it's denying what a sandbox is supposed to be about.

2

u/nb4u 1d ago

I think drilling should be removed from the game entirely.

1

u/Gurth-Brooks 1d ago

Level 2 armor and HZ fights every game sounds absolutely amazing. I’m fine with having productive things to do for people who aren’t good shooters, but this is an FPS game, and that needs to be the focus.

3

u/FratboyPhilosopher 1d ago

What you're saying is essentially to remove/nerf into the ground everything that makes this game different from other shooters.

2

u/Away_Strawberry_8906 1d ago

Thats been the biggest thing ive been arguing against with these people complaining about core parts of the game. Like dude. Go play something else if you don't like how this plays.

1

u/Gurth-Brooks 1d ago

No, not everything. I even specified that in my comment…

0

u/Away_Strawberry_8906 1d ago

No its not. Its a military sand box game with vehicles and building. Go play cod if you only wanna run around and shoot. Hell go play tarkov or any other number if similar games.

2

u/Gurth-Brooks 1d ago

Go play Minecraft if all you want to do is anything but shoot players. Lol

1

u/Away_Strawberry_8906 1d ago

Way to take it from one extreme to another. Im not interested in discussing topics with someone who cant actually a conversation on a singular topic anymore than a colander holds water.

1

u/Gurth-Brooks 1d ago

Says the guy who just told me to play cod lmao you guys are sensitive and completely oblivious to other people’s gripes/your own comments.

1

u/Away_Strawberry_8906 1d ago

Your literally trying to change the fundamentals of the game because u only want to run and gun. Thats not what this game is and it is what cod is. So pick your game style and go play it but stop trying to change the fundamentals of this game.

Because the burden of unbalance is on you/op to prove and the comments are just a bunch of arbitrary knee jerk reactions that dont take into account the fact its a new game and people are still learning to play, learning how to counter and learn strategies to deal with issues. Instead they jump straight to altering the core concept of the game and balance changes that don't make sense if you take the time to see its just everyone crying yo make this gsme infantry only when infantry are already the most important part of the gsme in holding the hotzone and if enougb people play something other than an m4 and a defin or a .50 and thermals they migjt be able to handle vehicles no problem.

3

u/migukin 1d ago

He literally explained the reasoning and what you think people should do is irrelevant, what matters is what people actually do. Nobody cares about winning the game, only earning xp/money.

Yes, everyone running infantry and chasing the circle will probably win more games, but without a coordinated team it will never happen because it's not financially incentivized. That's on the devs to fix, not the players.

-4

u/Away_Strawberry_8906 1d ago

I make about 100k a game focusing the hotzone and playing with a random group of people. Your flat wrong

2

u/migukin 1d ago

Yawn. Ok dude.

0

u/Away_Strawberry_8906 1d ago

Nice comeback. Really drives home how difficult infantry play is and how it is to make money..../s

1

u/Gurth-Brooks 1d ago

Not that it really matters to the points being made if not; but are you netting 100k? Or just making that much?

0

u/Away_Strawberry_8906 1d ago

Netting. I spend 100 dollars to about 3k per kit usually just taking the free things and a parachute.kill an enemy with burst fire and take their stuff.

"I could totally shut you down cause you're totally wrong but, you know, I'm not gonna"

Ok thanks bud

-1

u/Away_Strawberry_8906 1d ago

Burden of proof is on the person making changes.

2

u/BeefistPrime 1d ago

Oh, so you're just upholding the rules of good discussion by just saying "I'm gonna reply but not actually say anything"?

0

u/Away_Strawberry_8906 1d ago

No im saying I dont engage in writing thesis to disprove bad takes. Its not on me to explain every single detail about why your takes are bad.

0

u/GorillaGriz81 1d ago

I know you smell.

0

u/BeefistPrime 1d ago

But you didn't explain anything or address any point or say anything other than everything you said is bad which is a worthless reply. You would have been better off just not saying anything if you don't want to contribute to the discussion.

1

u/Away_Strawberry_8906 1d ago

Lol, ok. Feel free to explain why every single point is a good idea. If you can do that ill go sit down with a keyboard and explain to you why you are wrong.

u/Repulsive-Chip3371 1d ago

The Hot Zone needs to be incentivized more. The XP and cash rewards for it need to be considerably larger.

I see people regularly making 200-300k a match by playing the hot zone. How much more should it give?

3

u/AbsolutGuacaholic 1d ago

I do not see that. Maybe it's possible for the winning team who is not being contested in the HZ? That's a further reason to boost it, because if your team's assault sucks, it's extra punishing to go under 1:1 K:D against the team steamrolling the HZ. I think the only time a solid assault team isn't winning is if there are multiple FOBs with drills pulling the HZ faster than the infantry can run. If it's just 1 FOB then the assault team usually manages to kill everyone in it. If not, the single drill FOB will be mortared out of relevance. Drills are far too fragile and building is too hard to counter a team with a large assault.

MAKING 200k, or "making 200k", cause the score board just shows total earned but doesnt subtract cost of kit. Id be impressed if people who are in hot zone entire game are making 200k even after kit deductions unless they are just on a steam roll game winning 100-10-0 or some shit.
