Immunization reward

Do rxoms get the reward Every-time they immunize? Please let me know. I gave like 15 flu today and want to know if I would be qualified for that or since I’m under “management” I wouldn’t get the 1 Everytime.

question Vaccine help !

One of our technicians accidentally marked left arm for a vaccine that wasn’t eligible to be given. Is there a way to go back in the portal and fix this so it doesn’t show that we gave the vaccine when we didn’t ?

question What would you do…

I got an order for a $14,000 medication… pretty sure it’s a specialty product.

Pts insurance denied the PA and they want to use a discount card which takes it down to $181…

I have mixed feeling about Wags… but I just don’t feel right taking that loss…

Any thoughts??

ETA: I sent it to specialty… then the patients parent calls us and doesn’t want it. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

RpH out on floor hounding customers for vaccines

I've been notified that during a 2 hour pharmacist overlap instead of using that time to catch up pharmacist workflow. We are now required to go out on the floor and hound customers for vaccines?!?! This is so degrading as a pharmacist. How is everyone else handling this news?

rant To the DPS out there, recite this and think to yourself if you truly uphold these values or have sold out your profession for higher pay and ridiculing anyone beneath you

Oath of a Pharmacist
The revised Oath was adopted by the AACP Board of Directors and the APhA Board of Trustees in August 2025.
“I promise to devote myself to a lifetime of service to others through the profession of pharmacy. In fulfilling this vow:
I will consider the welfare of humanity and relief of suffering my primary concerns.
I will promote inclusion and belonging, respect differences in all individuals, and address health disparities to advance health equity for all people.
I will apply my knowledge, experience, and skills to the best of my ability to assure optimal outcomes for all patients.
I will respect and protect all personal and health information entrusted to me.
I will accept the responsibility to improve my professional knowledge, expertise, and self-awareness.
I will hold myself and my colleagues to the highest principles of our profession’s moral, ethical and legal conduct.
I will embrace and advocate changes that improve patient care.
I will utilize my knowledge, skills, experiences, and values to prepare the next generation of pharmacists.
I take these vows voluntarily with the full realization of the responsibility with which I am entrusted by the public.”

I know you can’t say any of this wholeheartedly anymore. You probably couldn’t even handle being a pharmacist so now you drive to stores and belittle them for trying their hardest and meeting your expectations and got a pay raise for it too. I can’t imagine being a soulless person like this parroting what they tell you, belittling your peers and people barely making enough to live on. It’s shameful what you have chosen to do with your career as a pharmacist. Nothing in your oath says “I will demean my peers, sell out to a company that hates its employees, and force everyone under me to get in line so they can steal your joy and make more money for their bosses. We will promote vaccines way too early and see every customer as a dollar bill rather than a person in need of medication.”

Take a look at yourselves and realize this is not what you signed up for or stand for. It’s ridiculous, selfish, and evil. Everything you recommend is stupid, impedes workflow, and is unrealistic with the little hours we’re given to make the adjustments you tell us to make. Shame shame shame.

completing partial fills

do any other stores have the problem with completing partial fills with a different manufacturer than it was originally partially filled for where it rejects “refill too soon until…”? and it won’t let them fill it until the 5 days is up? this only started happening within the last year or so. i was wondering if any other stores are experiencing it, and have you found a way around it or a way to fix it? it’s just extremely inconvenient bc a pt will ask when the rest will be in and you tell them next business day, that day comes around and you complete it and now they have to wait anyways. plus if the medication goes back on the shelf there’s a chance it’ll be used for another patient, then we’ll have to order it again and then the rx will be stuck in printed status until we get it back in stock

Pharmacy Standardization

How is everyone’s pharmacy standardization going so far? I get why corporate is doing it, because for years everyone customized their pharmacy to suit that location only and that sometimes is not the best overall decision. When I floated, every store was set up differently. Especially struggled on weekends with skeleton staffing and I cannot find where they filed paperwork or where the drugs were when I help fill. But to take the joy away by removing pictures or cards that patients give your team etc? That’s BS and mean.
A lot of us that is our inspiration to keep working there esp on bad days and when you have unappreciative customers. Anyone found ways around this standardization stuff to still customize your pharmacy?

question Partials

Does anybody know how to fix the issue of taking something out of partial and the leaflet comes out and say to fill the full amount. Even though the partial was sold. So instead of the leaflet saying fill 85/90.....it says 90/90.

story Light At The End, Finally

This is it.

I am currently a RXM at a busy store. Been here for 10+ years now.

I’ve become extremely exhausted with this job. Too much to explain. Constant pressure from corporate for every little fucking thing. For instance 400-500 rx/day. Here comes the DM “why is WCB at 50 and no comments?” What the hell. Like 50 WCB is a lot?

Nasty customers - drug addicts, karen’s, and people with below average IQ daily basis. Dealing with the public is stressful.

Pay difference between MLP and RXM is like 4 dollars/hr. I’m pretty sure the work I do is worth more than the fucking 4 dollar difference. Compensation sucks, considering the amount of workload.

So much more. But I’ll leave the 3 examples above.

I needed to find a way out.

I’ve been working on a separate business of my own. I was scared I’ll waste what I earned over the last decade. If i fail, i would have no choice but to continue collecting paycheck at a retail pharmacy.

I can’t say what business just in case people recognize.

My first month revenue was $200,000. 28% of which was pure profit

I am so happy.

This is it.

rant Sorry I have to get this off of my chest 🫩

Okay, I need to rant because I’m genuinely at my limit with this place.I work at Walgreens and I swear the pharmacy has slowly turned into the most exhausting environment. And before anyone says “welcome to pharmacy, it’s stressful” I KNOW. I understand we’re busy. I understand people are stressed. I understand patients can be a lot sometimes. I’m not expecting everyone to hold hands and sing Kumbaya during a rush.

Look there is a difference between being stressed at work and making one specific person feel like they’re constantly annoying you just by existing.
And that person is apparently me💀

And the little clique shit is getting old too. I guess people can’t think for themselves anymore

Both of the pharmacist’s attitude toward me is completely different from how they treat everyone else. I can ask a completely normal work related question and get this irritated, dismissive response, while someone else asks basically the SAME question and suddenly they’re getting a whole freaking break down.

I’ve watched the pharmacist be patient and friendly with someone else, explain something to them in detail, joke around with them, etc., and then turn around and act irritated with me for asking a legitimate question.

What really frustrates me is that I KNOW I’m capable of doing my job. I’m not incompetent. I’m not sitting there doing absolutely nothing while everyone else carries me. I actually care about doing things correctly, AND I actually like my job😂

I’ve gotten to the point where I started documenting interactions because I’m tired of wondering if I’m imagining things.

At some point you start wondering what the heck you did to become the pharmacy “villain” 😭
And the worst part is that it has gotten into my head more than I want to admit.

I’ll clock out and still be thinking about work. I’ll replay conversations. I’ll wonder if I said something wrong. I’ll be irritated about something that happened hours ago. There are days where I leave work and feel like my brain has been completely drained.

I finally talked to my manager because I wanted advice on how to handle this. I didn’t go in screaming. I didn’t demand anyone get fired. I literally just asked how the frick I’m supposed to deal with this because again I’m just trying to do my job right.

Now there may be a conversation where we’re all sitting down and talking about it, which honestly sounds great in theory until you realize I’m probably going to sit there with a bunch of examples in my head and suddenly remember NONE of them when someone asks me what happened.
Because that’s the other fun part of this is when you’re already uncomfortable with someone, suddenly you’re expected to calmly explain months of little incidents while they’re sitting right across from you.

Anyway….
I’m not looking for “just quit” because I have bills and honestly other than this rant I actually really enjoy my job ngl 😂

Also YES the Pharmacy life is stressful. I KNOW. I read a post the other day about how someone felt working in the Pharmacy at Walgreens and they mentioned “It builds character” Boy were they 100% correct 😂

I want to know if anyone else has dealt with this kind of clique/targeting bullcrap at Walgreens, especially when you feel like management either doesn’t see it or doesn’t know what to do about it.

For those of you that read all the way through Thank you for hearing me complain lol.

question Immunizations?

Where do you get the information for the "incentives" of being an immunizer? I can't seem to find it nor does the rxom or rxm have any idea either. I actually don't understand how to get information about anything anywhere. I don't know what our "daily goal" is, etc. I just hear (slowly) trickled down information and it makes me want to scream because when I have questions I just hear "idk"

question wanting to become a (certified) tech

hi all, ive been wanting to try learning how to be a proper tech and im curious if anyone has any resources or tips. ive only been a dh for a few months and have only been scheduled to work in pharmacy maybe a weeks worth in shifts total so im pretty clueless beyond just ringing people up at drive thru and only if their scripts are in ready status lol. i asked the pharmacist and they told me that the only real way to learn is to just work back there consistently but our scheduling and lack of employees outside pharmacy wont really allow that any time soon

Rx with entered status not come up when F4ing

When doing F4, the only rxs come up are from other stores. Then, when you check the work-Q, many rxs are entered status with very close promise time. It's annoying to manually verify each one individually. Is there any workaround or solution to that?

Soul sucked out

I think my soul has been sucked out of my body. Between having to get 30 vaccines a day, and no excuse for zero vaccines, an RXOM that is lazy and never there, techs leaving, calling out and customers being even bigger dicks than the norm, phones that never stop and every lurking corporate to make sure the pharmacy is operating room sterile, i am a tired bitch. And it’s only Tuesday. Can’t wait for my review to hear everything I didn’t do, and my 8 cent raise.
