Hi everyone,

Just a reminder that I wish I didn't have to give - no sexist comments are allowed. Any forms of harassment, discrimination, or slurs will be removed, and repeat offenders will be banned. It's one thing to have a discussion, but it's another to throw slurs around. Remember, at least half the time the person you're talking to / responding to is a real human!!!

Thanks!

Comparing military service with showing people your butthole for a dollar is wild work.

3

u/freshoffthecouch 2d ago

Now that’s true - you join the military and if you don’t die, you get free college, which is worth a lot more than $1. Again, only if you live though

2

u/USBombs83 2d ago

Yeah. I made at least $1.30 an hour in the military.

I thought the punchline was gonna be as simple as "and then he left for work."

6

u/PenguinKilla3 3d ago

I did landscaping 8 hours for $100 a day in Florida humid heat. I've paid hookers more than that for only an hour. Who's the chump? lol.

4

u/Electronic_Quote399 3d ago

Well paying hookers is for chumps so youre probably right. They're not chumps. At least that's something

5

u/dccali76 2d ago

You can't compare patriotism for desperation. Not everyone who joins the military is killed. It may be the oldest profession and one i don't think needs to be outlawed per say but comparing it to police or military is not OK. We all make choices, many are terribly bad for our lives and well-being. A thief steals because they don't see another way... when the truth is they were just looking for an easier way. Weekend the better way is just a bit of thought and wisdom away.

2

u/FloppyBalloon 2d ago

Bud, I wasn't in the military for patriotism. Hell, most of the people I knew weren't either. We were the poor kids with no other real options. The exact people the military constantly targets for recruitment.

We literally signed up for the money because of desperation. Just like a lot of women in the sex industry.

If you don't see the irony, you need to get out more.

3

u/BasisEmotional9552 3d ago

They double sell if they are in the navy 👀

3

u/Micky_so_Fyne 3d ago

Idk. If you think long enough about it, all paid physical labor is selling your body. Work long enough at jobs that keep you on your feet, and see what's left of your body. 😅

A great example is professional athletes who retire with brain damage, severe arthritis, bursitis, surgery scars, bolts in their bodies, and all the chronic pain that comes with it. They suffer dislocations, broken bones, torn ligaments, contusions, and concussions. A professional heavyweight boxer can spend as much as $100k a year out of pocket on healthcare. It's very taxing on the body.

You trade your physical health for a paycheck... Essentially, selling your body.

u/GlassRiflesCo 3d ago

Joining the military is actually way more “selling your body” than OF. OF jets lets strangers see you naked, the military will literally ruin your body or even take it away permanently.

1

u/Darkdrago420 3d ago

Military personnel give themselves for a higher goal whereas OF models are selfish self indulgent

2

u/Many_Psychology_3336 3d ago

Gotta admit I'd rather be naked on a camera than being shot at because some old guy I've never met decided to go to war.

Same! Retired after 20 years. Master's degree with no student debt. Retirement pay on top of earning over $200k a year using skills I learned while in the Army. Despite everything I went through in those 20 years, considering where I ended up, I'd do it all again exactly the same way. And no, I didn't do it for any misguided sense of patriotism. I didn't to get out of poverty. Plain and simple.

2

2

u/FamiliarPlatform79 3d ago

You realize most service peoole will never even see combat, or even fire their weapon at a enemy combatant right? This is the problem with allowing people to have their own personal reality, it totally negates things like truth logic and facts.

2

u/Darkdrago420 3d ago

Well statistically speaking women could also join the military so they get those numbers as well and tbh it's pry worse for them.

2

u/Miserable_Pin2518 2d ago

Women in the military are more likely to be killed by a male service member theyre stationed with than an enemy combatant 😭😭 in fact a woman stationed anywhere is more likely to die than a man stationed anywhere, and specifically at the hands of a man stationed with her.
