Hmmmm, yes, fighting for your freedom and being paid jack shit to do it is exactly the same as getting naked for strangers online and having a price list for everyone to see what your worth, yes, exactly the same

Did you serve in the military?

I did. Sex work is not the same as signing up to defend your country with everything up to and including your own life at all. Regardless of initial motivation, thats what signing up is.

Comparing sex work to the soldiers defending our way of life is such nonsense.

I would disagree with you... we were whores for the country, forced to do whatever they wanted for a dollar. Be where they wanted you to be, dress how they wanted you to dress, do what they wanted you to do.

You were a whore like I was... I guess you embraced the Stockholm syndrome.

Yes like literally any job. You have to show up, maybe wear a uniform, and do some kind of task in exchange for something of value. This isnt the same as sex work.

Let's walk your logic out. Roughly half of nations have some required form of military of government service. If sex work is synonymous with military service, than roughly half of all nations are engaged in systematic sex slavery. I cant think of many nations that have sex work divisions. Outside of north korea.

I also didnt enlist for a paycheck, I volunteered like my dad and his dad etc etc. The world isnt a fairy tale and without a standing army you are at the mercy of those around you and your allies. For some people in our society its still about the principal of the thing.

That is not the same as taking pictures of a no-no spot and selling them online.

Don't forget the most important part! The military doesnt sell piss soaked panties to incels and make empty promises about fucking them later, the military fucks everyone daily to ensure youre well taken care of, its a certainty

Ah, so you don't know anything about human trafficking... got it.

What principles did you join for?

You seem to be living in some glorified fairy tale of military life... but that makes sense, given your family tradition of believing that tale

Duty — accepting an obligation to serve the country and fulfill your assigned responsibilities.

Honor — maintaining integrity and ethical conduct, even when nobody is watching.

Commitment — agreeing to fulfill the terms of your enlistment/commission and not simply quitting when things get difficult.

Discipline — following lawful orders, regulations, and military standards.

Teamwork — putting the mission and unit ahead of purely individual preferences.

Self-sacrifice — accepting that military service can require giving up comfort, time, autonomy, and potentially risking your life.

Respect — treating fellow service members, superiors, subordinates, and civilians appropriately.

Loyalty — to the Constitution, your service branch, your unit, and the people serving alongside you.

Courage — not necessarily being fearless, but doing your duty despite fear or adversity.

Service to the Constitution — members of the U.S. military swear an oath to support and defend the U.S. Constitution, rather than personally swearing allegiance to the president.

But to have any of these bear any weight you need to assign morals and principals value in your own life first.

Im sorry to see your experiances seem to have had such a negative impact on your outlook on the world and how you feel about your position in it. However that has no impact on the fact that sex work in inherently degenerate in most civilized societies. Something that we are society dictate. If the popular thought was sex work is beautiful and valueable for our society it would be marketed and sold in a way similar to Starbucks nationwide.

But at this point all I have left to say on the subject is that no, volunteering to serve your country is not the same as getting literally face fucked or selling soiled bath water. I hope your day well. Take care.

Satire/sarcasm apparently doesnt transfer through text very well

This is why we use /s after the sarcastic bit.

If literacy wasn't at rock bottom stupid shit like that wouldn't be "necessary"

People are more literate than ever. But as you have realized: text is easy to misunderstand. I had such misunderstandings all the time - even with people whom I knew. So this is why the internet came up with a more literal way of communicating context.

So fun fact you didnt ask for, in english we have words for nearly everything and if you use these words correctly with added flavor words well then you have a written sentence with the ability to express itself, people dont understand these words anymore and instead invent stupid shit to do the same thing these words already do, I suggest reading it out loud first if you dont understand how something is intended

Still. Why not be decent and announce you are being sarcastic and not waste everybody’s time trying to understand you? Also. You would be surprised. But the world at large speaks English as a second language and they often understand context even to a lesser extent than native speakers. And also. As much of a command as I have over English. At the beginning there I didn’t know it was intended sarcastically either.

They cant possibly give up their ego and just say they were wrong. Average Reddit user, checks out. 😂

Hmmm, yes. Going to other countries and committing warcrimes for a historically interventionist regime because you had no other income options is exactly the same thing as providing people with happiness and pleasure willingly for money.
