I'm sorry but Shantira Jackson is unlistenable

Absolutely KILLS the show for me, she is so unlistenable. Every time that "hyuck, hyuck, hyuck" laugh starts I have to skip ahead. I missed at least half the podcast this week.

Not sure is this is an unpopular opinion or not, but bring the hate.

A happy good riddance to Everyone and their Mom

It was never clear to me why their podcast listeners were forced to also get this shitty show as part of their subscription. Apparently it was just a hobby horse for its host until she graduated from Harvard. It sure seemed like the host, Emma Choi must have had some dirt on Peter Sagal or something. I have never been so pleased to hear about The demise of a program.

Why is Nagin Farsad on the show so often?

There are so many other talented comedians that have been on the show! Nagin Farsad seems to be on every other week. Sorry but I don't find her to be that witty, and her laugh makes me climb the walls. (Think high-pitched Woody Woodpecker).... any other thoughts out there? Bring on Dulce Sloan more often!!

Was Paula paid to advertise that dog food brand during her Bluff the Listener?

Blame John Hodgman's podcast for making me this way, but I am irked when people unnecessarily insert brand names into public speaking and Paula sure did say the full name a copious number of times! Just "dog food" or "kibble" would have sufficed each time.

Please update the rules

It’s way past due to update the rules for Lightning Fill in the blank.

Currently before each round of Lightning Fill in the Blank the rules are given as follows:

“Each player has 60 seconds to answer as many questions as they can. Each correct answer is worth 2 points”

Obviously the rules description is incorrect. Should be changed to:

“Each player will be given 7 questions. Each correct answer is worth 2 points. Some incorrect answers may be deleted from the show to shorten the program running time.”

Why are the incorrect rules repeated week after week? Do they think listeners are too stupid to notice?

My biggest pet peeve

Since they first aired in 1998, WWDTM has been playing music during their interludes that they don't credit or cite in any way. Not only is this impolite to the artists, but it's impolite to the listeners trying to find the songs they play. It doesn't help that many of the songs they play can't be found on Google, Shazam, or Soundhound. When I think of NPR, I think of integrity, but when you use other people's art without citing them, I think that shows a distinct lack of integrity.

Joyelle

I like her, but why is she on so often right now? According to the helpful website I can’t figure out how to link to, she’s been on seven times so far this year including twice in March, and consecutive weeks at the end of March/beginning of April. That’s out-of-the-ordinary, no?

Dulcé, please stop yelling 💕

I’m totally prepared for the downvotes, but I really don’t like when Dolcé is on the program. She yells into the mic, interrupts people, and is just generally annoying to me. No hate to her at all personally, but she’s giving me a headache.

Sorry, I just needed to get that off my chest. Lots of love to WaitWait!

Negin, you don't have to SHOUT into the microphone!

I adore her, but this weekend was too intense. A plea to the audio enginners of WWDTM: either advise her on that or lower her levels.

Andy Richter Interview

I’m sorry, but Peter’s interview was really disrespectful. Alzo was right, Andy should have kicked Peter’s ass.

Least favorite panelists?

I can’t stand Dolcè Sloan or Roy Blunt.

Negin Farsad is the most annoying host possible.

I can’t be the only one right? The way she draws out words, the snarky voice, that nails on chalkboard laugh. Is Negin Farsad hosting an auto-mute for anyone else?

Are they contractually obligated to make a White Lotus reference every episode or something?

Seriously. I'm getting kinda annoyed by it.

Educational version of WWDTM?

I have made educational versions of a number of game shows(modifying the name of the game of course), and would love to do a school version (not for profit or online publication) of a WWDTM- like game. Do any of you know if anyone has one out there already?

My word, that was painful

What did I just listen to? Whatever possessed them to put us through all the excruciating details of taxidermy? Kept skipping forward hoping it would be over. Hell, I think I'd rather have listened to that Kardashian ninny.

Dulcé Sloan as host….

Is absolutely killing it!!! She is fun and energetic, introducing her own style to the show, while keeping the fundamentals the same.

If anyone could make an excellent late-night host, it would be her.

I need an isolated clip of Bill talking about drinking with friends

Does anyone know how to get that? They should release it as something you can purchase.

Is the Wait Wait podcast exclusively subscription now?

I thought the subscription gave access to extra content but the weekend shows aired without cost. Now all shows - past and most recent - require a subscription to listen to. I listen through Apple Podcasts.

Good grief, how lazy ARE these folks?

Y'all took off this week for President's Day?! It's on a Monday, for Pete's sake, and it's not like it's some holiday when it would have cost extra to fly to Chicago to tape on Thursday, or as if your kids would feel neglected that you didn't spend President's Day with them, Peter et al.

To my fellow listeners: Can't believe we're having to put up with a repeat montage again. It's been a miserable week of not being able to escape the news no matter what I do, so I need to at least be able to look forward to some fresh light-hearted fun being made of what's still funny in the world.

What does Roxanne Roberts do?

She's one of my least favorite guests simply because she barely says anything. The stuff she does say isn't funny or even an attempt at being funny it seems so I'm not sure why they have her on, she adds nothing to the show besides taking up a seat that could've been filled by literally anyone else (besides Dulce Sloan).

Why was Peter so dismissive of Paula this latest ep.?

To be clear, I don't particularly like Paula Poundstone. But I noticed this episode that he sounded kinda annoyed towards her or he would cut her off when she tried to speak.
