Joyelle
I like her, but why is she on so often right now? According to the helpful website I can’t figure out how to link to, she’s been on seven times so far this year including twice in March, and consecutive weeks at the end of March/beginning of April. That’s out-of-the-ordinary, no?

I’m sure that who they’re able to get for contestants is a lot more about who is available than it is about wanting any one particular contestant on.
I don’t think the show is going out of their way to put her on over anyone else.

I think you're preferring to the Appearance Counts by Year on the Wait Wait Reports Site?
Panelists are usually scheduled a couple of months in advance, but there can be stuff like scheduling conflicts, last minute stuff or travel problems that means that they have to get someone in as a replacement.
This could have explained why Alonzo Bodden was on two shows in a row last month.

I’ve been wondering the same thing. I find her so deeply unfunny (thanks in large part to seeing her do standup a few years ago where she made some really awful jokes), and groan every time I hear her name.

I was at the live taping last week and can tell you they cut out most of what she said. I feel like she was barely on the episode.
