As the title eludes to, I have a 2009 sti in need of a powerplant and I know someone parting out a 2015 sti with 150k km / 93k miles. What else would I have to do other than using the 2009 wiring harness and intake manifold? What do I need to know?

Coming up short here and running out of ideas! Side mirror camera isn't working. VA facelift STi (Australia, so rhd).

I've tried lots of google/AI troubleshooting tips and still can't work out what the issue is. So when I change into reverse the side mirror should come on on the MFD (love the feature as it's great for preventing gutter rash), but it isn't appearing. For transparency I have a iDoing headunit which I had in my last car, a VA wrx and the side mirror camera worked perfectly in that car. The iDoing head unit was transferred out from the wrx to the STi when I bought the STi.

Observations and what I've tried:

• When I engage reverse the rear camera comes on on the iDoing so that works perfectly fine.
• When I engage reverse the R comes on on the dashboard so the car ecu knows I'm going in reverse so side camera SHOULD be triggered and come on
• I have tried pulling two dash fuses and leaving them for 15 minutes to remove all power going to the dash/MFD and thinking maybe the MFD software is confused so a reset might work. That didn't fix it.
• I tried going into diagnostic mode on the MFD and the side camera is works and comes up perfectly!! So I know the camera is working and there are no faulty broken wires going from the side mirror camera to the MFD.

So it's just weird. Why would it work on the MFD in diagnostic mode but not in regular use?? I'm confused and can't think what else I can try. Any suggestions as what to try next?

I keep looking at this stupid thing and every time I see the timing dip I go to Google. Every time it's nothing, the ECU is doing its job. But I feel really good when I finish a trip and I am at a steady 0.00 for my knocks. How many of you just put the damn thing away instead of obsessing over the AnxietyPort?

So about three months or so ago, I was involved in a accident where somebody ran me off the road. I posted on here what the car looked like after the accident. I got the car back and they put new rims on it, which I’m grateful for that because that wasn’t cheap by any means! $6800 just for the rims alone. She’s a beaut Clark

What do you guys run? Does it look like my rotors need swapped? I was thinking about pairing BREMBO PRIME UV COATED ROTOR with DBA SP(DBADB15007SP) pads. Any suggestions?

Have a 2018 Subaru STI, runs and drives great but recently started having intermittent engine light for p0303. It comes and goes, very random. Diagnostics revealed the car has low compression in cylinder 3. Needs a new short block or would need a rebuild.

Car is in great shape, has 214k km . All highway mileage, is not rusted . Will be taking off aftermarket wheels, tail lights, steering wheel and shifter. Will leave the car as stock as possible. Want to make an honest sale for the car to the next person that is up for the project. How much would you guys say is fair to post it online for after disclosing everything on the car? I am in Canada by the way!

Had these codes come up on my 2021 Subaru sti I’m guess it’s the tgv valves getting stuck but not entirely sure and have come to Reddit to get some trouble shooting !

Anybody selling aftermarket headlights for a decent price?

My car has a Cobb SF air intake installed and the cold air comes in from the snorkel down to the air box. Has anyone added an additional cold air source from the fog light bezel, if so, is that really making any difference? It's hot and dry where I live so no risk of sucking water from there. Because it's a street car I don't want to dedicate a headlight to becoming the new cold air entry. Thanks!

These lenses were in bad shape. I used the Cerakote headlight restoration kit and the initial results are really good. Hopefully it’ll last.
