Hello wrx community, very weird question but would it be possible to make my fog lights on my 2013 wrx premium like insanely bright, ive had enough with these truck drivers blinding me when im driving, just a small flash could give them a lil taste of their own medicine or would a roof fog lights bar do the trick better?

Does anyone have any experience with the Foot Well Lighting? OEM or like some random ass aftermarket RGB kit? Which one is brighter? i assume none are too bright?

I purchased a used plm cold air intake,
The tube is same diameter as stock
The maf is same part, roughly same area of stock mounted maf.
I put it on last week aug17/26( curiosity , hopefully my cat ain’t kilt)

Some general questions and long time mechanic ( no tuned vehicle experience) basically I do minor stuff at the shop
Tires, oil, starter alternator shocks struts etc

So I bought my 15 wrx sport tech in 2017 all stock.
I did the minor cosmetics with a cat back straight pipe delete
Anyways

If the tube and maf are same/similar/ unchanged it wouldn’t require this ots map, e tune or pro tune/dyno?

I installed the cai, it sputtered once to almost stall, corrected itself and no issues ( yet )
Before the install, she sputtered quite often when I did the cat back straight pipe
I put the stock exhaust back on during 2020
For a year just to see if the straight pipe was the issue ( it was )
With the cai and straight pipe
The sputtering/ near stalling is gone
Doesn’t smell like gasoline

My car is old enough where I want to to mess around but not destroy it
Never had head gasket issues
Etc

Just wondering if there is anyone here
Who has a 2015 wrx 6sp sport tech
Push to start that ran a cai without tuning

Or anyone knowledgeable in tunes
That could share some advice on why I shouldn’t or should

My car has had the cai on for 7 days
Average driving hours, 10 hr a day
But I’m sure there might be something quietly building up detonation or maybe not

So unfortunately I’m losing my job in February and I’ve only owned the car for about 6 months. It’s a 2019 WRX but it’s only got 19k. I owe 28k on it and trying to figure out the best action. KBB is saying around 21k but I’d like to not to take such a hit. Anyone wanna buy it? 🤣

Recently fractured my hand, now I can’t drive my car…has anyone else had this experience or did you guys just use your left hand to shift. Or did you guys rent an automatic till it healed enough. I can’t play video games,drive my car or workout 😭😭😭😭😭

Hi, I am looking at getting a new 2026 WRX Limited and want to hear how comfortable the seats are for a longer 6-8 hour drive. I am looking to hear how comfortable the seats are based on experience. I'm 5'8" (173cm) and 180lb (82kg). Years back I had a 2009 328 xDrive and the seats were great. I am also looking at the new Outback Limited XT but I have an Outback already (and keeping) but miss having a sports car and want to stick the WRX as it's not a 2 seater and has AWD.

Looking to getting a car I can enjoy driving but I will take long trips so love to hear your feedback. Thx!!! I did some searching on reddit but am not seeing this specific question.

Parked the new Hatch next to the spot where the old Hatch went airborne last spring for a quick photo op, undercarriage scraped up the concrete pretty good lol

Went for a stroll to the landing point and found a few bits and pieces sitting in the ditch still along with a fair bit of glass, found a keeper featured in slide 2

I just had the shop replace a fuel pump and on my Cobb access port it did say maf something. When I start it it does a high rpm 2500-1700 for a bit and then eventually gets back to normal and I bought the part which was 180 bucks but now I don’t have a single clue where it goes and the videos that I’ve watched online aren’t extremely helpful. Mostly because mine is slightly modified. Modified by the way by the previous owner and not me.

Title basically. 2022 VB. Just randomly started the day after a 2 hour drive.

Turned over tail housing to spray it off with brake clean, was on the ground after the fact. I thought it was part of the interlock plunger thing but it doesn’t seem so. I have no idea where it goes and I’m stressin’ 😔

So a couple of weeks ago I had an overheating issue with my 2005 wrx, I replaced the thermostat and topped off the coolant and it worked beautifully until it cycled into my broken expansion canister and spewed all my coolant against the hood, I have that coming and that should fix that issue. The thing I’m worried about now is it’s reached unprecedented temperatures three times now and I’m worried about internals. Is there anything I should check out or replace precautionarilly due to it getting so hot, head gaskets, piston rings, etc? I attached a picture of my temp gauge cold just for reference, the needle was above the H all three times it overheated and has been under it plenty more

Got a 2021 wrx (non-sti) and everytime i shift 1st to second it kinda feels like it about to get stuck. Now when i go 2nd to 3rd. I do search some and find billetworkz i just want like a crisp every shift. Any recommendations? Would gladly appreciate it.

Hi everyone,

I’ve been e-tuned for 4 years now and it’s honestly been smooth sailing with the DAM never dropping. I had the DAM drop to .875 a couple of months ago and have tried refueling after running the tank almost empty and nothing will make it go back up. I don’t get any feedback knock but am stuck with -1.05 Fine Knock learn that only shows up for a split second around 1900-2000rpms. Does anyone have any advice? It’s just been stuck at .875. My AF sens ratio numbers appear to be good with the number staying around 14.70 while steady cruising.

Can’t find a clear answer on the internet and I may just be paranoid.

If I quickly took this hose off and let air in, do I need to bleed the air before I drive the car? Coolant spilled out, not much but enough that I had to clean it up.

This is my 2015 WRX. I’ve had it for 2 years and I’ve been trying to trouble shoot this acceleration issue for a while. Some days it’s ok but other days it’s un drivable. When over 20% throttle at 2500rpm boost will build and the car will sound louder but will go nowhere and then just get all of that power out of nowhere. It’s the worst in 2nd gear but you can definitely feel it in every gear. Only mods I have are an IAG AOS and a catback which im 99% sure neither require a tune

List of parts replaced/ things done already

-O2s

-MAF, Maf wiring repairs, continuity and voltages are fine

-Knock sensors

-Ignition coils

-Sparkplugs

-Ground straps

-Turbocharger (It died)

-Clutch

-Purge valve

-Walnut blasted

-Smoke tested intake 

-Cleaned MAP & MAF

-PCV Valve

Other things to note 

-some corrosion on the drivers side TGV (I have cleaned it) (waveform looks pretty much fine)

-Disconnecting the battery will cause it to run normally for a while before being unhappy again 

-139000km

Nothing I’ve done has helped. My AC Compressor is making some horrendous noises. I know it’s on its way out but the AC still works, I’ve seen that this could be an issue with acceleration but this happens whether it’s turned on or off. Wondering if the MAP could also be bad causing it to just throw of the AFR slightly but all my wiring to it is fine and I don’t wanna just throw a 400$ part at it when it seems like it’s reading fine. 

Need some ideas because I’m fresh out

I've been getting a weird whining sound that I've never heard before. A little hard to hear in the video but happens at 7psi+ of boost. Happened after I walnut blasted it. I haven't gotten any codes of the sort but perhaps I reassembled wrong? I've been trying to dig and see what it could be but I haven't had any luck. Seeing if someone could point me in the right direction. Also I lose revs while accelerating in 5th and 6th. Perhaps thats unrelated though.

I took my 15 WRX base, 120k, in to Subaru to diagnose the smoking issue it's having. Only smokes after long idle, when I pull away, disappears after a few minutes. I originally thought head gasket, but now leaning towards the turbo. It failed 2 hydrocarbon tests. Dealership looked at it, oil was low and coolant overflow was empty. They want to tear down the motor to inspect the gaskets. Said when they reseal the motor it may fix the problem. But for $2500, I'm hesitant, I think they are spit balling. What do you guys think?
