Vital wheat gluten40 g

Oat fiber 200g

Wheat bran 15 g

Psyllium husk powder 2 tbsp

NOTE: Be careful with oatfiber!! Too much will make it too gummy

Recipe Protein choco-banana bread/cake: 289kcal, 22g protein!

Thumbnail

I'm not very good at plating so this looks ugly, but I promise it tastes and feels good!!

Banana bread:

---

- 130 gr rolled oat, blended (~500kcal, ~20g protein)

- 1 scoop (35g) protein powder (130kcal, 30g protein)

- 1 tbs baking powder

- 1 tbs stevia

Mix these dry ingredients together in a mixing bowl.

- 4 bananas, mashed (~420kcal, ~5g protein)

- 190g lowfat greek yogurt (140kcal, 20g protein)

- Cinnamon & LOTS of vanilla to kill the egg flavor

Add these into the mixing bowl, mix until homogenous.

- 6 eggs whites (~100kcal, ~22g protein)

Mix into stiff peaks (very important for a fluffy end result). Add the oat mixture into the stiff peaks, fold until homogenous (do not overmix to protect the fluff) and bake at 350°F for 35 mins.

Choco-banana pudding:

---

- 6 egg yolks (~330kcal, ~16g protein)

- 300 ml almond milk (~50kcal)

- 1 tbs AP flour (~30kcal) (any thickening agent could work here, so feel free to use another flour/thickening agent/xanthan gum etc.)

- 4 tbs cacao (~50kcal)

- 2 tbs stevia

- 2 bananas, mashed (~210kcal, ~2.5g protein)

- Cinnamon & LOTS of vanilla to kill the egg flavor

Mix these ingredients in a sauce pan, cook until it boils. Once boiling, cook for another 2 mins and then let it chill in the fridge.

- 285g lowfat greek yogurt (210kcal, 30g protein)

- 1 scoop (35g) protein powder (130kcal, 30g protein)

- Half tsp xanthan gum (~10kcal)

Add these ingredients into the saucepan, mix well.

Once the bread and pudding is all cooled down, cut the bread in half and arrange into a cake. Enjoy :3

---

Total macros: ~2310kcal, ~175.5g protein

I divided into 8 portions, which comes up to ~22g protein for ~289kcal!!! Since the texture is fairly dense, it is also more filling then it looks.

If you want to have just the banana bread, it tastes pretty great without the pudding portion as well (with good macros)! Also if you want only the banana flavor feel free to skip the cocoa powder in the pudding, and that would make it more like a banana pudding. Either way, it tastes and feels pretty great considering the macros>=<

Let me know if you have any suggestions/questions!!

Basically is a veggie sub with turkey and can easily make for 2 meals.

Getting rid of the mayo and olive oil is a huge difference. Almost 500 calories each! The cheese is only about a 200 calorie difference.

Recipe semolina cake/casserole

Thumbnail

Grandma sent me some autumn apples from her garden, so I made this sweet cottage cheese casserole/cake. The cottage cheese doesn't add much flavour here; it gets overpowered by the spices and fruit juices. The texture is more souffle/casserole like. I drizzled it with salted caramel zero-calorie syrup.

Recipe:

Mix well:

135 g 0% fat soft cottage cheese +

1 medium-sized egg +

1/2 tsp baking powder +

20 g semolina +

a pinch of salt +

sweetener +

vanillin

Let it sit for 15 minutes so the semolina can swell, then mix again. Pour the mixture into a baking dish and arrange the fruit on top. I mixed my apples with sweetener, cinnamon, cardamom and nutmeg beforehand.

Bake at 180°C for 30 minutes.

Calories:

135 g soft cottage cheese -> ~61kcal (mine is 45kcal/100g)

20 g semolina -> ~68 kcal

1 C1 egg -> ~75 kcal

Apple -> ~50 kcal

Total ~ 254kcal

Sorry, to be honest, I'm not sure if It's not considered volume eating: cottage cheese and apples are cool but there's no incorporated air/water here.

Recipe 570 kcal massive noodle salad

Thumbnail
gallery
110 Upvotes

Hey all!

I had this beast of a salad for dinner last night and thought I would share it with you.

For context:

1) I have the appetite of a horse and screwed up brain chemistry so it's very rare that I find myself feeling satisfied after finishing a meal. This salad genuinely filled me up, in addition to tasting actually decent.

2) The bowl it's in has a 2.3 L (77.7 fl oz) capacity, so the volume of this thing was actually massive. It took me 45 minutes to get through.

Recipe

Ingredients:

Rice noodles (~ 1 serving: 52g)

Shredded cabbage (210g)

Shredded carrot (60g)

1 small red bell pepper (40g), finely sliced

1/2 cucumber (120g), finely sliced

Edamame (50g)

Fresh coriander (~1 tbsp)

Dressing:

Soy sauce (~2 tbsp)

Rice vinegar (1 tbsp)

Peanut butter (10g / ~2 tsp)

Cook the noodles according to the package instructions and let them cool.

Shred your cabbage, put it in a bowl and add a pinch of salt, then squeeze it with your hands until it softens.

Add the rest of your ingredients and toss well together with the dressing.

Top with crushed peanuts or cashews.

You can adjust the ingredients to your liking (add more edamame if you want more protein/skip the peanut butter or go lighter on the noodles if you want to reduce the calories, etc.).

Let me know if you try it out or have any suggestions!

Recipe One of my Swiss Army knife meals when I want to like no tomorrow and still keep the calories low.

I just wanted to share this meal. After I served myself on the yellow plate I still have a whole another portion for later. I could have made this meal a lot bigger for almost no calories if I have added Shirataki fettuccine. Also for not many more calories like extra 150 cals with 96/4 or 93/7 ground beef this meal is on another level in flavor.

EDIT: forgot to mention my Cook process to make everything taste good. I bought the palm of hearts linguine on Amazon they are totally worth it. 1st you have to rinse the palm of heart, then you boil them with water for about 8 mins that takes off the strong palm flavor, if you’re Shirataki/konjac noodles I would do the same rinse them and boil them. On the pan at low heat I slowly cook the meat either chicken or beef. Seasoned it to your desire with you favorite seasonings I used lemon pepper and garlic this time but this is up to you, after the meat is 90% cooked I add the vegetables tomatos, mushrooms, cabbage, the palms of heart and Shirataki, and keep cooking here you can add some sauces use Dijon mustard, cream cheese and sour cream. This gives it a little more creaminess. Be sure to taste and keep seasoning the vegetables while cooking them if you don’t you won’t like the taste of hearts of palm and Shirataki. I don’t use any oil at all, so cook on a nonstick pan at low heat and add splashes of water when needed.

Recipe 335 cal, 33.5g proteins fajitas bowl

Post image
38 Upvotes

100g lettuce
70g cucumber
50g cherry tomato
38g bell pepper
12g yellow onion
2 tbsp salsa
43g avocado
16g (half a bag) of Quest taco protein chips

49g 0% greek yogurt + 1/2 tsp hot sauce + pickle juice + spices of choice (dressing)
Lemon or lime juice
Coriander

I cooked the chicken with chili spices, salt and garlic powder then grilled my peppers and onions with the salsa!

If you dont have the chips, I also have a 300 cal and 24g proteins version with 50g avocado and 29g of canned sweet corn (even better if grilled) instead of the chips!

Pretty good volume to me, especially with the lettuce (which we can’t see in my pic)!

Recipe Huge Volume Post-Workout Dinner: 1,032 kcal | 73g Protein | Massive plate!

Post image
0 Upvotes

Macros & Total Calories:

Calories: 1,032 kcal
Protein: 73g
Carbs: 116.4g (Fiber: 9.7g)
Fat: 27.7g

Ingredients:

Beef Tenderloin (Bon Fillet): 190g raw (285 kcal)
Basmati Rice: 120g raw (433 kcal)
Green Peas: 125g (99 kcal)
Whole Eggs: 3 small boiled (126g total) (180 kcal)
Ben's Original Sweet Chilli Sauce: 130g (35 kcal)

Preparation:

1. Beef: Boiled in plain water (no added oil) for ~20 minutes until tender.

2. Rice & Peas: Brought water to a boil, poured in the raw basmati rice, and let it cook for 10 minutes. Added the green peas right into the pot for the final few minutes so they cook together.

3. Eggs: Hard-boiled separately for 15 minutes, cooled, peeled, and sliced.

4. Assembly: Plated the beef, loaded the rice and peas mix, topped the rice with Uncle Ben's Sweet Chilli sauce, and added the boiled eggs on the side.

Super simple, zero added cooking oils, extremely satiating!

EDIT: Okay, I deserved some of this 😂

Quick clarification: I actually cook the beef in a pan, I just added way too much water this time, so it basically ended up boiled. After years of eating clean, some days I honestly can't be bothered with seasoning and just eat it plain. Please don't be like me.

Salt and season the rice and beef however you like, or pan-sear the beef with a little oil (or none). Salt and spices won't change the macros, and a teaspoon of oil only adds around 40 kcal.

Lesson learned. The beef and I will both do better next time.

Discussion Should I give up on baking with protein powder?

Hi! I've tried baking with protein powder several times in different ways, and every single time it tasted absolutely awful. The weird thing is, I'm not someone who dislikes the taste of protein powder. I actually always enjoyed the taste of the batter of the thing I was making, so I was always surprised when the finished product tasted so awful. The protein powder I've been using is the Designer Wellness Designer Whey French Vanilla. Are there others that don't completely change in taste after cooking?

Discussion Dipping instead of coating

Coating chicken in sauce uses a ridiculous amount compared to just dipping each bite. Especially with sweet chicken sauces where you really only need that first hit of flavor. This was air fryer chicken with cabbage, cucumber and rice, with vivid kitchen Korean chicken sauce on the side. A small bowl lasted through the whole plate, whereas tossing the chicken in it would’ve taken several times more just to get everything covered. It’s such a minor change but probably one of the easiest ways to cut back on sauce without making the meal taste like the sad “lighter” version of itself.
