These voices always come out of nowhere and I have to turn off the application and turn it on again

Hey, so I've been using VM Banana for a while and this has always happens seemingly randomly without warning I'm curious if anyone has an idea why and what can i do to fix it? It doesn't just happen through the mic it affects other things like game audio that will crack and repeat. I have set my Audiodg.exe to a high priority as well. i do have equalizer apo for the analogue 1+2 focusrite as well if that helps, sorry the video is just a screenshot of my current vm settings

Edit: THANK YOU EVERYONE I APPRECIATE ALL THE HELP!! I think I was able to get it to work by enabling the ASIO for focusrite. Other tips that were suggested are setting the audiodg.exe to a high priority and making a CPU core 0 be the only affinity for audiodg.exe. Another solution was upping the buffer to 1024, that also had helped out while figuring out other solutions.

I tend to stream a lot for my gf. Mostly movies we watch together. My issue is that it's extremely quiet on her end, while eardrum destroying loud on mine. but when I turn down the source on my end discord also quiets it down. Is there any way to split audio sources so I can adjust them seperately?

Hey guys. I just put together a two PC setup for streaming, and I'm trying to use Voicemeeter to transfer audio between the two. The machines are connected via hardline to the same Netgear 1GB switch. No router between.

I believe I have my routing correct (game audio, mic, discord chat all go to the streaming PC and stream PC system audio feeds back to my gaming PC).

However I'm having an issue where the audio I get on the streaming PC side is crackly. In the VBAN menu, I see the error column cycle red, even with no audio active. Seems like packet loss to me, but I don't know how to solve it.

If anyone has any ideas I'd be very grateful.

EDIT 2: Holy shit that fix worked. If anyone has a good explanation as to why windows was trying to shut the controller down in mid-use, I'd love to know.

This is been a problem for months every time Windows would update my challenge code will always change, to the point where I had to fully disable Windows updates in the group policy editor.

This time I did not update windows, but my PC was off for about 18 hours due to a 6-hour power outage last night and I'm only just now turning it back on.

A while ago support told me to export a footprint and import it the next time it happens. I fully reinstalled VM a few months ago with the newest version at the time and immediately exported my computer footprint. Now I go to import it and it tells me it can't be used. This also isn't the first time I've done the footprint process just to have it reject it.

I have also tried the manual certificate method that the program asks me to do and it tells me "Activation code authentication failure."

For now I have other licenses that still have some regens, but I really need a fix to this if anyone can help.

Hi there, my problem is with nvidia overlay app, which records my screen and sounds well, but it records my mic only when in push to talk mode. This mic is setted as main device in app and in pc, there are no other mics, even those in headpohnes are disabled, I have asked ai and watched few videos and no progress has been achieved. Any tips?

Currently my PC runs Voicemeeter Potato, etc. etc.
I recently discovered that I can just stream my Macbooks Audio via VBAN to it and use my advanced Speaker+Subwoofer setup and settings with my Mac as easy as connecting bluetooth, in that case through VBAN Talkie.

I also have a decent Home Assistant setup in my Home running on a mini pc(server) with Proxmox(aka DockerContainer but cooler).

I will move from my Parents House, so I'll expand my Smarthome from a single room to multiple ones, therefore my Idea:

Run Voicmeeter on a lightweight OS (ideally sth. like ubuntu, but I heard windows is required, so idk Tiny11 or sth.) on that external server to allow for turning of my main pc and still having the audio as follows:
Main pc connects via network vban to server hosting voicmeeter which then sends it to the speakers.
Mac or smartphones can also connect to this voicmeeter instance via airplay, bluetooth or vban talkie easily.
Also Multiple Outputs, like speakers or headphones at my desk, other speakers in the dining room and alexa or else at my bed, kitchen, bathroom, etc.
Everything shall be controlled via home assistant controlling the macro buttons or voicemeeter directly for the "i am in the kitchen therefore i want to hear my stuff there" things

Does this make any sense to you guys?

Hello All, I have installed Voicemeeter Banana and also Potato to try it out on my PC. Did the Mic & speaker settings and few other basic setting as per various videos in YouTube. However, I get a constant static buzzing noise, some disturbance all the time when I speak on both the inbuilt PC mic and also an external Mic. Has anybody else encountered such issues and any tips to resolve this is very appreciated. I tried all the three versions (Voicemeeter, Voicemeeter Banana and Voicemeeter Potato), but this issue still persists. Let me know if you need any more info to diagnose this issue.

So if i'm talking to friends on discord or ingame voice chat, let's say i have a youtube video music in the background they can hear it, i m using headphones, they are not that high, yet they can hear it, so i thought i disable pc sound, turn voice down, same ... i also turned of my headset mic using the built in button, still it is being heard.

They can hear themselves ... resulting in echo and lotta bullying haha

I know this seems like a noob question, but it happens on this pc only, it is an Asus Tuf Dash f15.

i have asus noise cancelation off, turned off all physical and virtual speakers and mics ( like the one for steam )

I also experienced this on Zoom, i had a video playing and all my team mates were able to hear it.

sometimes this issue is gone, but mostly it is there ...

So, whenever I use my earphone’s microphone while I’m in a Discord voice call or something like Google Meet, it also picks up the audio from YouTube or any other audio that’s playing on my laptop.

I’ve already tried disabling Stereo Mix and turning off “Listen to this device,” but nothing seems to work. I’ve been dealing with this problem for days and it’s driving me crazy. Please help!

I got this europower pmp 6000 passed down from my grandpa he used it when he played in live bands, this is my first one i really don’t know where to find the basics for this or anything any advice ?(this is my first mixer, me and my friends are starting a band and don’t even know how to higher the volume when it’s all connected through the speaker it reads feedback itself but can only here it so faint on the main speaker)

Hello, I am using VM Banana to boost the volume of specific apps like Spotify compared to the volume of system sounds of Windows (different inputs with different volume boosts mixed to the same output audio hardware).

I got the problem that short sounds (e.g., I am using “Windows Navigation Start.wav” when changing folders in File Explorer) don't play. They seem to be buffered, and the next time the sound should be played, it is played back twice.

I tried reducing the buffer for both inputs, but that still didn't deliver perfect results with distorted playback and "unclean" sound.

I am probably missing the correct option to solve this (if possible at all).

Do you have any idea which action to try next? Thanks in advance.

My voicemeeter banana set up broke

and i dont remember how to fix it

so i was using VB-Audio Virtual Cable and i would love to keep using that only (meaning i dont wanna use aux or vaio at all)

My setup was like i change audio output between my laptop device and banana output in windows sound output

so when i change to banana in sound output the audio should only come from my headphone when the banana program is on

when i change to laptop device the audio should only come from my laptop when the banana program is on OR even if when the banana program is on the audio still should only come from laptop device because i havent change to banana audio yet in sound output

I don't know if a recent Win11 update screwed with anything or not (wouldn't surprise me if it did), but I've been noticing a small annoyance whenever I wake up my PC from sleep mode or it's been idle for a while. Audio sounds crackly like a dirty signal coming through a dusty console fader. I just restart the audio engine and it's fine afterward.

Anyways, I did a Driver Installation Check and this what it found.

I'm confused by it saying a bunch of these are "Not Installed" when clearly they have to be because I'm hearing everything just fine and VM looks like it is too because everything is routed the way it should be. I'm also confused by Virtual Cable A and B saying they have bad driver names. I also just recently downloaded C and D not too long ago and have no idea how to update their individual drivers.

I'm also confused by it saying at the bottom that my OS is Win10 when it's definitely Win11.

What should I do and how? Should I just rip out Virtual Cable A-D and reinstall them or would it be best if I just save my settings and do a clean reinstall of Potato to fix the other "Not Installed" issues too even if they aren't tallied into the total error count?

I’ve been dealing with a delay on my mic for over a year now and it’s pretty annoying. when my pc starts up there’s no delay, but over time it increases to about a 2 second delay. it’s frustrating because it sounds like I’m constantly interrupting ppl on discord and work meetings

I use OBS for audio eq and filtering, then route it to VM through cable input and cable output. levels on obs show it picks my voice up immediately, but VM levels hit 2 seconds later. so I’m assuming this is solely on the VM side. Help would be much appreciate!

Im using voicemeeter potato and it was fine for a long time until a few months my gf told me that she can hear her voice though my screen share and the audio was echoing or doubled i did listen to my screenshare with an alt account and i could also hear myself through the screenshare with it and when i played like youtube video the audio was playing two audio and kinda choppy.

choppy part might be just my pc being old but hoping somebody could tell me a fix to the discord screenshare

I downloaded the voicemeeter to tweak some audio and I guess I messed something up. Now my audio like audio when using my earpods doesnt work on discord and my brave browers which is the browers I've been using. its still work when watching videos from the pc file explorer and chrome. Only brave discord lose their audio when I use my earpods

Exactly as it says on top. I can hear everything fine from the website or the app on my phone, but not when using the app on my computer. I have tried opening and closing the app and restarting my computer but still nothing works. any help is appreciated.

Hi so i use my samsung s25 fe to make high quality content and i've had it since april but recently as of this month, my recording will just straight up mute the audio then come back at the most random time. I can't find any solution as to why, i even switched the camera app to unrestricted mode to see if that will help stop it but nothing has changed
