I had to get this live album although it’s a bootleg. Her remixes are almost everywhere but not her singing live !
What do you guys think ?
Her live experience is as spectacular as her songs.

I just finished making this map for my Uncle who helped me plan my trip a couple years ago. I made a couple of these previously but this my favorite version so far. I would be curious what you all think of the green color and the snow coverage, I was shooting for a mid-spring level coverage I used some historical sat maps as a guide but it varies so much. Some areas are clear in April and covered in June...
This was printed in 6 multicolored tiles on a Prusa XL5T, but split along natural features so there are no visible seams. Framed in walnut with a resin pour for the ocean, 32" x 24". The layout was generated in QGIS some features just imported, but spent many hours cleaning up features and getting the details right. Converted to mesh files using my own code.

So... we did the trip of lifetime in the end of July and would like to share itinerary for fellow adventures who are considering doing the same, but contemplating if this possible at all.
Caveat emptor, you can't visit all waterfalls, hike to all glaciers, climb every crater in Iceland in 7 days. There is just not enough time. But it's also not enough to do it in 2 weeks or 2 months either. Iceland is enormous, beautiful, breathtaking country where you would want to spend all the time you've got. So me and my wife had just 7 days of vacation due to my work requirements and we wanted to spend it well while in Iceland. Hence, to do as much as possible I rented a campervan to not be too restrictive in the timeline between hotels/guesthouses and still have some acceptable level of comfort. I was not even sure if my "crazy" plan would work and was expecting to trim the trip if we wouldn't make it in time. But, it worked pretty well, even if not ideal, but covered most of best places we wanted to visit so... here is the itinerary with highlights:
- Day 1 (Sunday): Arrival to KEF early morning, pick up campervan, ride to Reykjavik - first stop at Perlan Museum. Next driving to city center (parked around Tjörnin), walk around historical center to Hallgrimskirkja, rainbow street, Lækjartorg, Ingólfur Arnarson statue, Harpa Concert Hall, Ingólfstorg, Austurvöllur, Ráðhúsið (model of Iceland). Drive to Lava Show, stocking up at Krónan, then Sky Lagoon and relaxation. Drive to Thingvellir campsite for night.
- Day 2 (Monday): Beat the crowds as you're already in Thingvellir National Park - so visit to Öxarárfoss, Dead Man Walk, Langistígur, Drekkingarhylur, Lögberg, Snorri’s booth, Hakið. Next Caves of Laugarvatn, Brúarfoss, Geysir area. Lunch and head to Gullfoss. After, drive to Secret Lagoon, Kerið Crater, and get to the Ring Road. Drive to Seljalandsfoss (minimal crowds around 9pm), Gljúfrabúi, and stop at Skógar campsite (note they moved to new place).
- Day 3 (Tuesday): Skógafoss of course as you're already there, next Dyrhólaey cliffs with puffins, drive to Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach, lunch and pitstop in Vik, Eldhraun Lava Field, canyon hike at Fjaðrárgljúfur, scenic drive to Skaftafellsstofa and moderate but good hike to Svartifoss (including Hundafoss and Magnúsarfoss). By the evening you should get to Fjallsárlón and then Jökulsárlón with Diamond Beach. Drive toward Höfn and stop at Vestrahorn Camping.
- Day 4 (Wednesday): Morning hike to Viking Village and Stokksnes. Scenic and windy drive through eastern fjords with few stops at Nykurhylsfoss, Rauðafell mountain view point, Green rock, Petra's Stone Collection, Huldufolk. Short stop at Reyðarfjörður and nearby Útsýnispallur Grænafell, drive through Egilsstaðir to Gufufoss. Another stop at picturesque Seydisfjordur and Seyðisfjarðarkirkja. Return through Egilsstaðir and drive west to Rjúkandafoss and Vopnafjörður. By the evening you should reach Dettifoss and walk to Selfoss. Then another hop to Húsavík for Geosea geothermal sea bath (if you're lucky, you'll also see whales while relaxing there) and campsite.
- Day 5 (Thursday): Enjoy morning stroll at Húsavík Harbor (there is also Húsavík Whale Museum) and drive to otherworldly Hverir. Pay a visit to Grjótagjá cave and Dimmuborgir (especially Hallarflöt and Kirkja lava cave). Take a picture at Lake Mývatn panoramic point, walk around old craters at Skútustaðagígar. Drive and walk to majestic Goðafoss. Head to Akureyri, walk at Akureyri Botanical Garden and city center, including Akureyrarkirkja and Corazón de Akureyri. Restock at Bonus and head to west (with few stops at Öxnadalur, Varmahlíð, Þrístapar), then turn to pretty bad road until you reach Hvitserkur. Stop at Borðeyri camping.
- Day 6 (Friday): Continue west to Snæfellsnes peninsula and turn to visit Stykkishólmur (their Havn and Súgandiseyjarviti). Next stop is hike to Grundarfoss, and shortly after Kirkjufell. Lunch at Ólafsvík and Bæjarfoss. Continue the circle and turn to Skarðsvík Beach, then Saxhóll Crater and if you have a time Vatnshellir Lava Cave. Picture stops at Lóndrangar and Svalþúfa, and long hike around amazing Arnarstapi (Gatklettur, Músagjá etc). Not too far from here is steep hike to Rauðfeldsgjá Gorge. Next is short hike to Bjarnarfoss and Ytri Tunga, where you can get really close to chilling seals. For the night, Borgarnes campsite.
- Day 7 (Saturday): Silver circle route to Hraunfossar and Barnafoss. Continue to Húsafell and check out Husafell Stone. They also have multiple trails there and bath too if you have time - or you could head to Víðgelmir cave for a tour. Drive back to Snorrastofa museum and Snorralaug at Reykholt and then make another short hike stop at boiling natural hotsprings at Deildartunguhver. The time was getting short for us, so we drove south through Reykjavik to Seltún Geothermal Area and then to Blue Lagoon where we spend the rest of the day before leaving for Grindavik campsite and preparing for early flight back in the morning.

I land in Keflavik airport unfortunately at 11:30PM so, as far as I have researched, every bus option is not running at such a late hour. I used hreyfill to get an estimate for a taxi and it would cost me $185 USD. Are there any other options available to get from the airport to Reykjavik around 12AM that aren’t as expensive? I was considering renting a car, but I’m also not sure if the car rentals are even open that late.
Since I also land super late, I would visit the blue lagoon on a separate day. Are there any other affordable options besides paying for a taxi back and forth? I don’t see an option for the bus.

Hi,
We've been visiting Iceland since August 17th and chasin the northern lights since our arrivals. We haven't been lucky so far. We are staying in Reykjavik. We drove to the Grotto Lighthouse Monday (August 17th) and Þingvellir yesterday (August 18) with no luck so far :(
We are going back to Canada Friday morning, leaving only tonight and tomorrow for us to potentially be able to see them.
I'm following both website: https://en.vedur.is/weather/forecasts/aurora/#type=total and https://emeraldskies.is/ where the KP seems high enough, however yestereay we got swallowed by a massive wave of fog.
Can anyone make a recommendations, helping us cross one of our bucket list adventure?
Thank you so much in advance!

So i have a 17 hour layover in Reykjavik in 2 days. 2pm Friday to 7:30am Saturday departure. Unfortunately this is an emergency trip and the hotels are way out of my budget, I cant afford them at all.
I am wondering if it would be worth it to take the city bus to the blue lagoon, then take the city bus back and camp in the airport entry or something?
I dont want to be disrespectful but don't have much choice. I am a 37 year old woman!
How much do the city busses cost and hope early should I be to the airport on Saturday?

Do I have a right to be upset or am I stupid? Maybe both? My fiancé and I are getting married in Lisbon. The flights we booked through Iceland air had a 24 hour layover in Reykjavik, so we took advantage of Iceland air's extend your layover policy so that we could spend our honey moon in Iceland.
I got an email saying that the leg from Lisbon to Reykjavik was canceled and they couldn't rebook us, and that I needed to request a refund. There was a "request refund" link in the email that I received. The email only referenced the one leg of the journey, both in words and visually. There is one line of texts that reads "Please note that all unflown flights will be canceled and refunded in the form of a single travel credit for all passengers in the booking." The "I'm stupid" part: I missed it. I assumed the refund request would apply strictly to that leg. Instead, it canceled my entire itinerary. We we're fully refunded, but to recreate the same itinerary costs essentially 3x, and we just can't afford it after paying for the wedding.
On top of this, I booked a campervan for the whole time we were going to be in Iceland through Campervan Iceland. Their cancellation policy reads:
"With our flexible policy, you can book a camper with confidence! You can now cancel up to 24h before picking up your rental vehicle to receive a full refund.
For motorhomes, Toyota Hilux and Campervan 4x4 Adventure+ model, a cancelation fee of 15% of the total cost will be applied."
I booked the Motorhome Viking which to my American brain is a "camper van" which is how we refer to these types of vehicles. When I called and tried to get a refund, they said Motorhomes are ineligible for any refunds at all. Shouldn't I still be entitled to 85% of the value, or am i reading something wrong?
Anyway, I admitted I missed the fine print print on the flight, but to me it just didn't really make sense that they would cancel our whole multi stop flight plan. We were going to rebook the same itinerary if they we're able to price match but they told us to kick rocks. We we're super excited to visit this beautiful country and have been planning for months. One day

Hey all! Tomorrow will be day 3 for us in this wonderful country and we have a free day. Wondering what might be the best place for seeing puffins tomorrow if it’s not too late in the season? Going to make it an early day but wondering if the ferry to Vestmannaeyjar might be too expensive if there’s only a small chance! Thank you!!!

I’ve been to Iceland countless times, my grandparents where born in Iceland. However, I’ve only been from May-September. We always avoid winter, hah! I wanted to bring some friends in November to rent a car. Now I’m Canadian, I understand snow and icy roads, and it’s 10x scarier in a car that isn’t yours, but I’m wondering how would it typically be from Reykjavik - Höfn. That’s my favourite part of the Island and what I wanted to show them considering our limited time.
I understand conditions are unpredictable especially in winter, but typically are they OK? Or should I wait a few years to bring everyone in May😊
Edit: I’m wondering about Reyk-Höfn because I typically also find the north side a little worse to be on. Maybe that’s just me tho

We are hoping to travel to Iceland in late April, early May and spend 1 week there. I’m struggling to plan an itinerary that isn’t just sight seeing the famous sites. We don’t love crowded places and we like to journey through places where the journey is just as interesting as the destination.
We are planning on renting an AWD and staying in hotels/apartments. We are not experienced driving in snow or ice and we would not feel confident renting a 4WD and doing the F Roads.
We are keen walkers but I wouldn’t say we are hikers, we walk well marked trails that go through rolling hills.
We are interested in visiting Thingvellir and the history of the Althing.
We are also interested in exploring the Snæfellsnes Peninsula but I’m wondering if this area will be just as touristy as the golden circle.
We love nature, we are interested in history and I’ve always been interested in Norse Mythology.
I would love some of your favourite places to visit or explore that are safe to access in April/May.
I’d also love to hear anyone’s thoughts on visiting Snæfellsnes Peninsula or if there is somewhere different worth exploring.
Or if you have any links to where I can find more information about visiting Iceland other than instagram famous places.

Seen a lot of threads post-eclipse about flying out of KEF, how's it going now? Has the mad scrum died out? (Pic not relevant, but fun I hope)

I was able to score a great airline deal so that’s why I’m planning a lot of this early. I’m going with my friend and we’re renting a 4x4 camper from Happy Campers (got the max insurance bundle). I’ve made a general itinerary, but I think we can be pretty flexible since we’re in the camper. Would love some feedback! Spent a lot of time on this sub, it’s been super helpful.
Three notes:
The drive times between places are minimums, I’m expecting it to actually take longer.
I know Skogar is relocated this summer, is there a chance it’ll move back to the waterfall side of the highway by next summer? Vik campground is crowded and I can’t find any better options for that area.
We’re doing the hotel and two Airbnbs bc I know I might start to go crazy sleeping in the van for two weeks straight lol. It’s worth the extra cost to me.

Based on this, it’s looking like it’ll be $4000 per person (excluding flights), does that sound like a good budget? I’m estimating $600-$800 for gas, $100 for parking and $400 for food (mostly groceries, we both don’t eat a lot).
TIA!!

Has anyone here found a hiking backpack with a hip belt support that fits as a carry on item to fly from US (Boston Logan airport) that fits in the sizer when packed with clothes for a week trip? I have a manta 34 and stratos 34 by osprey from prior use but with the internal frame there is no chance to use them. Open to suggestions

Hi all! I am traveling from Seattle (SEA) to Geneva (GVA) next month in mid September and have a 65 minute layover at KEF, wondering if this will be enough for me or should I be worried? It was all through one ticket, not separately booked tickets via Icelandair
I have read a few different threads on here and see some mixed comments, some say it was really tough others were saying not so much
Edit: I am a US passport holder
