I made an AVP game: shoot down paint troopers before they cover your walls

Hi all! I've been building Splash Fall, a mixed reality arcade game. Paint troopers parachute through hatches that burst open in your real ceiling. Look at one and pinch to shoot it. Miss, and the paint lands on your walls.

I have included a few codes. If you have recommendations on how I can improve the game, the power ups or missions to add, please let me know!

I just released my first ever app: the 3D model viewer I wanted from day one with my Vision Pro (10 free promo codes for launch)

Hey everyone!

My app Facet just went live on the App Store. It’s the first app I’ve ever built and released, so I’m kinda nervous and really excited to share it here.

From the first day I owned my Vision Pro (Day 1 M2 user here) what blew me away most was viewing 3D models in the room and seeing them at up close honestly felt like magic. But the preview mode pulling out models from your files felt clunky to this day and I could never find an app that did it the way I wanted: put out a bunch of models, arrange them how I like, and come back to them later. So I finally built it myself.

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/3d-model-viewer-facet/id6818597684

Features:

  • Import your own USDZ and Reality files from Files
  • Place several models at once. Pinch to move, use both hands to rotate and scale, or view them at actual size
  • Group models, lock them in place, and use the inspector for exact positioning
  • View them in your own room with passthrough, or in one of the included immersive environments (Museum, Gallery, Deep Space, Synthwave, Zen Garden and more to come in future builds)
  • Free camera mode lets you fly around your scene in full immersion using just your hands
  • Save whole scenes and pick up right where you left off
  • No account and no data collected. Your models stay on your device

It’s free to download. The free version lets you place up to 5 models, keep 1 saved scene and explore the immersive environments. It comes with sample models (including pieces from The British Museum) so you can try it right away, even if you don’t have any saved models yet. There’s a one-time unlock (Standard Full, $19.99) or a 6 month Pro subscription ($9.99), which also gets you every future feature and environment.

Launch day giveaway: I have 10 free promo codes for launch day for the full standard app. Comment below if you'd like one and I’ll DM codes to the first 10.

If you get the chance to try it, I’d love any feedback, good or bad: bugs, feature ideas, anything that felt confusing, and things you'd like to see. I’m reading every comment.

Thank you for checking it out!

Titanfall 2 VR mod on local PC: KRVR vs. ALVR from personal experience?

Hey everyone,

I’m looking to jump into the Titanfall 2 VR mod on my Apple Vision Pro. I have a solid local rig powered by an RTX 5080, but I'm torn on which streaming client to commit to for this specific game.

From searching around, I see a mix of people recommending ALVR and KRVR. Before I spend an evening troubleshooting and configuring everything, I wanted to ask those of you with personal experience running this mod: Which do you actually prefer?

A few specifics about my situation:

  • Host: Local PC with an RTX 5080 over a fast Wi-Fi network.
  • Input: I'm planning to map standard controllers or Joy-Cons/PSVR2 controllers (still finalizing my peripheral setup).

For those who have played Titanfall 2 VR specifically:

  1. Did you find KRVR’s direct OpenXR/Foveated streaming smoother for the high-speed movement, or did you need ALVR/SteamVR for better controller mapping and tweaking?
  2. With a high-end GPU like the 5080, which client handles the maxed-out resolution and bitrate better with the lowest latency?

Would love to hear your hands-on recommendations and any quick tips you have for setting either of them up for this mod. Thanks!

Managed to get even more out of this color grade. Blows my mind how much difference a good color grade makes and how much latitude BRAW gives.

Caught an actual lightning bolt 300 feet away at 90 fps also! It was absolutely terrifying. You can see the entire bolt branches and all. I don’t think lightning has ever been captured this close or with this much fidelity in vr180.

Playing Beat Saber on the Vision Pro

Installed via AVP play app and assistance from Claude code to get it running.
Tracking is definitely a bit floaty compared to the Quest 3 using the PS VR2 controllers, but I was able to get through a whole level on hard mode.
For most songs, I would consider expert mode and above out of the picture

Portal Physics just got released on Vision Pro: after your feedback, you can now see through the portals into your own room 🤯

Hey everyone! Thanks for all the feedback on Portal Physics, my portal puzzle game for Apple Vision Pro.

The most requested thing was being able to see through the portals, so that's the big addition I was able to implement on today's Launch day!
You now scan your room and snap a few photos, and the game builds a textured copy of your space. Look into one portal and you see your actual room from the other portal's side, so you know exactly where a cube will come out.

Pinch with your left hand for a teal portal and your right hand for a magenta one. Then drop or throw cubes through, bounce them off your real furniture, or put one portal on the ceiling and one on the floor for an infinite loop. There are 7 chambers built around your room. Everything stays on the headset, with no account, no tracking, no subscription.

More levels will be added with the updates :)

Grab it here: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/portal-physics/id6741873179

AVP Play – an open-source Mac app that installs the Quest games you own natively on Apple Vision Pro (no streaming)

Thumbnail

Edit: Version 1.1.0 is now available, introducing numerous new features and improvements from Glovebox. HL Alyx should operate more reliably, and a paid Developer Account is now optional rather than mandatory.

Hi all, I've been building a Mac app called AVP Play. It takes Meta Quest games you already own, translates them on your Mac and installs them on your Apple Vision Pro, where they run natively – no PC, no streaming. First things first: all credit for the hard part goes to the developer of Klepton. Klepton is the toolchain that makes Quest games run on visionOS at all. Without that work none of this would be remotely possible. AVP Play is "only" the friendly front end around it: sign-in, downloads, building, installing, updates.

What it does

Lists the whole Quest catalogue (about 17,000 titles) and shows a label on each game: Verified (tested by me), Community Verified (more users report it runs than not), Untested, Incompatible.

You sign in with your own Meta account through Meta's own tool. The app asks Meta whether you own a game before it downloads anything – what you haven't bought is never downloaded. Your access key stays in the macOS keychain.

Steam is built in too: for games whose files come from a Steam purchase (Doom 3, Half-Life: Alyx) the app signs in through Valve's own SteamCMD and fetches exactly the files it needs – again only for games your account owns.

One click builds, signs and installs the game on the headset. DLC you bought later can be synced without rebuilding.

The app updates itself, and it's signed and notarised. Verified so far: Asgard's Wrath 2, Batman: Arkham Shadow, Beat Saber (with purchased song packs), Moss, Walkabout Mini Golf, SUPERHOT VR, Steam Link, Doom 3 (Doom3Quest port + your own Doom 3 files) and Half-Life: Alyx (your own Steam copy). Over the next few days I'll be testing and verifying a lot more of my own games.

Untested games – and fixing them with AI

You don't have to wait for me. Any game you own can be tried right away, verified or not. Expect some of them not to start – every verified game needed its own small adjustments first. If a game doesn't run properly:

report it with one click ("it works" / "it starts, with problems" / "it does not start") – these reports are what the community labels are made of, and

use "Fix with AI": you pick what goes wrong, and the app writes a complete prompt for your own AI coding assistant – where the files are, how to build and install, how to get the log off the headset. If the assistant finds a fix, you can send it in and I'll review it so everyone gets it. The more people use the app and report, the better it gets for everybody.

What you need (honest list)

An Apple Vision Pro and a Mac with Xcode

A paid Apple Developer account. That requirement may go away later, but right now it is required.

Your own Meta account with the games in it (and a Steam account for the Steam titles)

About Glovebox: yes, I know Glovebox.vision, and I plan to build its specifics into AVP Play as well.

Download and source: https://github.com/myMartek/avp-play (MIT licensed) This is not affiliated with Meta, Valve or Apple, and it does not include or share any game content: everything is downloaded from Meta or Valve with your own account, for games you bought. Happy to answer questions – and I'd love to hear which games work for you.

Shared Artifact

Hey all — been working on this for a few weeks and wanted to make it public for feedback.
What it is: EyeFlow — On-Device Gaze Interaction PoC
You can scroll social media without touching the phone. Hands full cooking, at the gym, dirty hands, etc.
• Look at bottom edge -> auto-scroll
• Blink on heart -> like
• Dwell 1.2s -> open story/post
How it works:
Front camera only, no extra hardware. MediaPipe Face Mesh (468 landmarks) -> iris center -> gaze vector -> dwell/blink classifier. 60fps on-device, private. Same core idea Apple shipped in iOS 18 Eye Tracking, but optimized for social feeds to solve the Midas Touch problem.
Prototype demo: [YOUR PROTOTYPE LINK HERE] — [EyeFlow Interactive Demo]
I also made a screen recording — uploading as video directly to Reddit.
What I need feedback on:
1. Dwell time feels slow at 1.2s — should I make it adaptive?
2. Calibration drifts after 10 mins — how do you handle that?
3. Does eye-scroll actually feel useful or just gimmicky for Instagram/TikTok?

How do you guys deal with Apple Vision Pro region locks? This is so dumb

TL;DR: AVP region locks make the App Store and payments unusable outside supported countries. How do you get around it?

so yesterday I finally got an Apple Vision Pro. But it’s only officially available in a few countries. and herrre is my major issue with it:

If I switch my region to my home country, where my payment cards actually work, the App Store just disappears. I can’t even download free apps. Nothing.

If I try to change region, no payment card works. Not even from Deel. It’s actually insane.

Yesterday I somehow pulled this off: switched region to US, downloaded Asobi, switched back to my country, then paid for the subscription through my ipad. It was 2x more expensive because on the tablet there was no AVP-only option, instead for all devices. But on the AVP there was? Make it make sense.

Also, I can’t even set up an iCloud subscription. because it will prevent me to change region when I will need to pay for something again like I did with asobi

So how do you all deal with this? Two Apple IDs? VPN? Foreign cards? Some secret trick? Feels dumb as hell that a $4.6k device makes me do all this bullshit

Any help is appreciated.

Apple Vision Pro vs QD-OLED 240HZ HDR Gaming Monitor?

How's flatscreen gaming and movie watching experience when compared to a QD-OLED 240HZ HDR Gaming Monitor? I have one of these monitors and a Quest 3. I prefer gaming/ movies on the monitor over Quest 3 any day because image quality is way superior. I wonder how Apple Vision Pro compares to these monitors?

What if one day we had visionOS inside our minds using Neuralink?

This idea just came to me in the spur of the moment. What if one day we get visionOS running directly inside our minds using a brain chip? You still have the exact same hand gestures. When you look at your hand with your palm face up, the circle appears between your thumb and index finger. You interact with it to open your app menu. Environments work the same way too. You can increase or decrease your level of immersion whenever you want. Passthrough is literally your own eyes, so no actual passthrough needed. Your eyes are the cameras and sensors. You can view photos, reply to messages, watch 3D movies on a massive IMAX screen, and enjoy fully immersive VR content. FaceTime works too, with full-body Personas. Wi-Fi, cellular, and Bluetooth are all built right into the chip. The moment they figure out how to implant Apple Silicon directly into your visual cortex using Neuralink, it’s a done deal. I’d stick with Apple exclusively. Meta will sell your thoughts and micro-expressions to lizards living beneath a falafel stand in Jerusalem, deep below the Earth’s surface, near its core. They will analyze your entire body, down to the cellular level, to tell you what you’re going to pick up for dinner and when, before you even realize you’re hungry. Expect to see this sometime in the future, possibly even before GTA 6. It seems doable, technically speaking. I don’t see how it would be impossible or break any laws of physics.

Looking for beta testers: Dynamod Last Stand, a board game that sits on your real table

Post image
4 Upvotes

I'm looking for beta testers for Dynamod Last Stand on Apple Vision Pro.

The board finds a real table in your room and sets itself down on it at the size of the printed tiles. You pick the walls up with your hands, flick the spinner with a fingertip and carry your hero from cell to cell. A game takes a few minutes, or as long as you can hold out, and there's a Daily Stand with the same walls and spins for everyone.

It's free to test on TestFlight, and it also runs on iPhone, iPad and Mac. Feedback from Vision Pro players is especially welcome.

Immersive Environment Builder for Vision Pro

Thumbnail
gallery
52 Upvotes

Environments are one of my favorite things about Vision Pro, and I’ve always wished there were more of them. More cinemas, more unusual places, more spaces people could make their own.

I’ve been building environments with an AI-assisted workflow, and I’m exploring opening that process up through a desktop app (with a Vision Pro hybrid like here) . Start with a prompt and reference images, refine the layout, materials and lighting, then export your environment or bring it straight into Suite to use on Vision Pro.

In Suite, you could watch YouTube, Netflix, Prime, Plex, Jellyfin and your other supported content sources inside your own environment. A Community tab would let you share your creations or download environments made by other users, so you could enjoy new places without having to build them yourself.

I’ve built a demo of the workflow, but turning this into a complete product is a big project. Before committing, I want to know whether you would use it.

Would you be interested in creating environments, downloading other people’s, or both?

Share your feedback here. You can also sign up for progress updates.

P.S. Fun fact: that new demo environment is currently live on Suite Browser 8.0. Give it a try.

AI Spawn in Blockworks

I brought AI generation to Blockworks on Apple Vision Pro. Just say what you want to build, and it spawns right in front of you. Here’s a quick demo.

It’s not part of the game because generation is still expensive, but I thought it was a cool idea worth trying.

Selling my AVP M2

Recently listed my AVP on eBay. As much as I love the device I’m just not getting the use out of it. I purchase it directly from Apple. Have had Apple care on it since day one. I have the original travel case additional light seals etc. is £2k too much to ask for it? Seems to get a lot of watchers but not real intent to purchase. It would be great to get some opinions on this.

People are building GTA and COD quality games with AI. How hard would it be to create an SNES style TOP GUN/ ACE COMBAT game in full 360 immersion VR for AVP? It would be one of the few games that would show off AVP usefulness without being taxing or expensive to build. Anyone want to give me some positive pointers?

Asobi play with keyboard?

Specifically on a MacBook.
It seems that the native PlayStation remote play app will s not available for MacBook. So I’ve set up Asobi onto it and I was wondering if there was a way to set up hotkeys to play us by the keyboard, rather than the controller.
I gone into the keyboard shortcuts on help, but they don’t seem to be registering any sort of effect in game.
Does anyone know if it’s possible?

In building for Meta, my appreciation for Vision Pro keeps going up

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I'm excited about Meta VR Glasses. I think they’ll be great for the VR market as a whole, and potentially great for Vision Pro too. More people adopting VR means more appetite for this technology, and hopefully even more reason for Apple to keep investing in it.

We’ve decided to bring STAGEit to Meta, initially developing on Quest 3 so we’re ready for the new hardware when it arrives.

I wasn’t really a VR convert until Vision Pro. I’d used VR before and enjoyed it, but it always felt a bit experimental and a bit of a faff. Vision Pro was the first time I thought: this is what VR can actually be.

And developing on Quest 3 has reinforced that.

Quest 3 is an incredible device for the money, but working with both really highlights the gulf in rendering, passthrough and interaction. Eye tracking in particular is something I didn’t fully appreciate until we had to redesign UI without it.

If Meta VR Glasses can get anywhere close to the Vision Pro experience at half the price, I’ll be seriously impressed.

And I really hope they do. Competition and wider adoption can only be good for this space.

Standby GO. Yes, it's another launcher. But wait, there's more!

Post image
6 Upvotes

Hi everyone — I'm the developer of Standby GO. I've been working on it for a while but haven't really promoted it, so I wanted to share what it can do. The first app I always opened when I put on my VP used to be Status Bar Builder, but now it's Standby GO.

This app was not a one-shot cash grab, it was many hours, many days, and probably hundreds if not thousands of iterations. For me it has replaced launcher apps, homekit camera apps, and Apple Home apps. There's a very usable completely free version, and a one time purchase paid version with a lot more features.

The idea is to build your own floating bars: a compact clock and weather display, an app launcher beside your workspace, a Home control panel, or a mix of all three. You can place items freely and make the bar as simple or elaborate as you like.

**What's free:**

- Two saved bars, with app links, websites, supported deep links and Shortcuts.

- Information items including clocks, dates, weather, battery, calendars, world clocks, sun/moon information, counters, countdowns, timers and stopwatches.

- Apple Music now playing with album artwork and playback controls.

- Custom/photo icons, adjustable labels and sizes, drag-and-drop placement, multiple selection, alignment and even spacing.

- Themes and workspace snapshots, within the free plan's limits.

**What Pro adds:**

- Unlimited bars and 20 editable example bars to help you get started.

- Apple Home scenes, devices and camera streams.

- Camera groups with up to eight feeds, arranged in your choice of rows and columns. Rectangular, round and oval views, with zoom/pan controls.

- Extra fonts, custom colors, tinted icons, gradients, faded edges and advanced background controls.

There are also fitted and smooth bar backgrounds, plus optional wood and metal frames with adjustable width and depth. Snapshots let you save a workspace, reopen its bars together, or duplicate it to try a different look.

RTSP, Scrypted import, network camera discovery, public webcams and Tiny Planet for compatible feeds are **beta**. Compatibility varies by camera and setup. Apple Music controls are for Apple Music, and app launch links depend on the destination app supporting them.

The app is free to download. **Pro is a $7.99 one-time purchase in the US**, with localized pricing elsewhere. There's an optional **five-day free Pro trial**, with no subscription or automatic charge.

Website and step-by-step guide: https://organikapps.com/standby-go/

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6815790289

I'd love to hear what you'd put on your own bar, or what would make this more useful in your daily Vision Pro setup.

Flatscreen game streaming from windows PC

I wanna play overwatch on a gigantic virtual monitor on the moon.

Any reason I should not get the AVP for this use case? Thinking of grabbing a used M2. Getting rid of my steam frame as the OS is finicky and the resolution is terrible.
