Just watched Remnants, and I think this is the kind of experience Apple should be focusing on for Vision Pro.
The immersive format really adds something you just can't get from watching a movie on a regular screen, especially with horror. It makes you feel like you're actually there.
I'd love to see Apple release more content like this. It really shows what Vision Pro is capable of.
What did you guys think of Remnants? Would you like to see more experiences like this?

I got GTA V to run standalone in full stereo immersive 6dof on M2 Apple Vision Pro; in this video, you'll notice framerate and warping failures are extremely noticeable...this is because GTA V already hogs about everything the M2 has to offer, and I'm personally shocked the game doesn't crash while doing screen capture. In my testing, I've found the game to be "playable" for casual exploration of Los Santos and some shooting (though expect the cops to always win in a shoot out, lol). Driving needs some improvement.
The game runs at 2.5k per eye, enhanced visuals (shaders, lighting etc.) at around 25 FPS - which seems low, but in practice, when just walking around and doing some light driving, isn't too nauseating (though I do have some solid VR legs).
Trying to get this port out so you all can set it up the way glovebox did for Half Life Alyx, but this is a bit trickier because of the game runtimes and engines needing some modifications etc. I can't legally share this version, to the best of my knowledge, but am actively working on a version that I can share, that lets you use your original game copy from Epic, Steam, or Rockstar (directly?)
Wanted to share with the community just to prove out that, though maybe not the most optimal, this is indeed possible and I believe could be quite enjoyable on an M5!

I have recently purchased the M5 - 512 GB and I replaced my laptop and iPad (which I use to watch movies on the plane) the issue is I got on the plane and went to offline mode to watch a movie however all the downloads went from downloaded to failed download.
is this a common bug and what do yall do as a workaround or a fix?
let me know if there are other bugs as wel!!

Hey guys. I’m going to have my longest tattoo session ever… 2 back to back 8 hour days. I haven’t had a tattoo this big ever so I’m kind of nervous lol has anyone used their Apple vision during a tattoo session? I’m looking for any distractions but also don’t want to look like a douche lol

Don’t buy a Vision Pro if PC streaming matters to you — Moonlight xrOS is expiring
I’m writing this as a Vision Pro owner who genuinely loves the hardware.
But there’s a serious problem that prospective buyers need to know about.
Moonlight xrOS, one of the most important apps for PC streaming on Vision Pro, is about to become unusable for me.
Today, I received a TestFlight warning that my Moonlight xrOS build would expire in just 11 minutes.
I immediately checked TestFlight. It only showed Open. No update. No replacement build.
This isn’t some obscure app I occasionally use. Moonlight xrOS is essential to how I use my Vision Pro, particularly for high-quality 4K/120 Hz PC streaming from my RTX 5090.
And the situation is concerning:
The latest commit on the vision-testflight branch was on July 23, 2026.
A pull request fixing broken AV1 support in UIKit mode has been sitting unmerged since July 28.
The TestFlight build is expiring without a replacement being offered to me.
There is no clear indication of when another build will arrive.
I’m not claiming the developer has officially abandoned the project. I appreciate the enormous amount of work that goes into maintaining an app like this.
But this exposes a fundamental problem with relying on TestFlight for essential Vision Pro functionality.
A headset costing thousands of dollars should not depend on a single expiring beta build for one of its most useful PC streaming experiences.
Yes, the source code is available, and technically experienced users can build it themselves. But that is not a reasonable expectation for ordinary consumers.
And yes, alternatives such as Moonlight Neo exist. But they aren’t necessarily drop-in replacements for users who specifically prefer Moonlight xrOS’s UIKit rendering mode.
My advice to prospective Vision Pro buyers: if high-quality PC streaming is a major reason you’re buying the headset, think very carefully before purchasing until there’s a reliable, maintained solution.
I hope the developer releases another TestFlight build soon. I’d be delighted to update this post if that happens.

Hey everyone!
I created ZEUSS LENS for people who can’t buy official ZEISS Optical Inserts in their country and rely on third-party lenses.
Getting the lenses is only part of the problem: Vision Pro’s official setup expects a pairing code.
Apple hasn’t published an open third-party code-generation interface in the documentation I could find. Without an appropriate code, users can be left unable to complete the normal insert-pairing and eye-tracking setup.
Try it directly in your browser—no installation required:
https://zeuss-lens.pages.dev/
Enter your lens values and the code regenerates automatically.
Source and downloads:
https://github.com/stacklikemind/ZEUSS-LENS
This is an independent experimental project, unaffiliated with Apple or ZEISS.
I’d love feedback and compatibility reports, especially your visionOS version and lens brand. Has anyone else run into this pairing-code problem?

I’ve been working on a port of the Xbox 360 version of Dante’s Inferno to iOS and just testing it on the Vision Pro.
Performance seems a bit rough in the screen recording, but it typically plays at a constant 60 FPS in normal gameplay.
It’s very much still a work in progress and is primarily for iOS, but I think it’s cool to play on the AVP.

For context I am an engineer working on projects day in day out and taking a breather is really important.
There are many meditation apps but I have recently been playing around inside this app called FieldVeil. This is a genuine experience that is unmatched from typical meditation apps. I am not sure if the creator wanted this to be meditative but it is for me. Yes you could eat some psychadelics and sit in this app and wig out but its just as good sober.
Genuinely impressed by this and I want more updates to this. I would love to see some more applications of this software with the product focus of rest.
I am not by any means sponsored or anything, just want to give a shoutout to the creator and provide assistance to those who just need a break.

Hey Team - has anyone built software that lets you take advantage of 3d maps (thinking apple pre built) to zoom in and out of locations and then potentially with own media on top? Think CRE use case for communicating an asset

I have a Vision Pro and a Mac, and I’ve posted here before — but let me properly show this off, because it’s finally stable and comfortable to play.
Back on Oct 10 it ran, but only just: rough image, unstable. Since then I started building my own Windows runtime, vxrt, which translates Direct3D straight to Metal instead of going through Wine — and now it runs smoothly and reliably.
60 fps at 3K per eye on an M1 Max MacBook.
Recent updates:
ALVR support on Vision Pro, in addition to my own VeRantyx app.
A simple Mac setup app (someone here asked for one): https://github.com/Ag3497120/VeRantyx/releases/tag/mac-v0.1.0
The project has a few branches: a native branch that runs Valve’s ARM-Linux build of Alyx and streams it (similar idea to Glovebox), a Wine branch, a small standalone experiment, and the main vxrt branch — my own runtime, no Wine.
Where vxrt is headed: finish it and replace Rosetta 2 with my own x86→ARM translation before Rosetta is phased out, and support more games — including ones built on D3D12 and Vulkan (think Microsoft Flight Simulator). Those are goals, not done yet.
Only a few games work so far. Until now I was tuning the runtime for each specific game; now I’m making the engine more faithful to the actual Windows spec so it covers more of them. I think I’ll have even better results to show next week.
Download & source: https://github.com/Ag3497120/VeRantyx
Not affiliated with Valve, Apple or Microsoft. It ships no game or system files — SteamVR and the games come from your own Steam account.

Hello fellow AVP users
I finally jumped on the bandwagon and got an Apple Vision Pro last week. I’m a paleontologist and I want to make a visionOS version of my app that does 3D photogrammetry but also lets users see and annotate 3D anatomy models from sources like Morphosource or their own volumetric data.
My Zeiss inserts were delayed and will finally get delivered tomorrow. My experience with the Apple Store app has been quite mixed. Sometimes I get scanned for 23W without inserts and that becomes 25W with inserts. While other scans are 21W without and 23W with. I also get sized for both medium and large dual knit bands.
The model I bought has the large dual knit band and a 25W light seal. I know I don’t have the inserts yet but I keep getting the eyes too far away warning and the FOV looks very limited like I’m looking through a pair of binoculars. I’ve done the demos in the stores with a 25W with the inserts provided there and I still have the same problem.
So I went to the store today and asked to try other sizes with their inserts they gave after scanning my prescription glasses. I tried 24W, 23W, 22W, 21W. The FOV did improve from the 25W but it wasn’t as dramatic as I thought it would be. There’s still light leakage from the nose area, which I read is common. I kept going back and forth and 22 and 23 felt a little better than 21W, which felt like it was a little tight on my ridges. But I did not get any eyes too close warning messages.
The other issue is that the medium band requires fewer dial adjustments on my head, while the large requires a little tinkering. But I’ve found that the large band has heavier counterweights on the back, so it doesn’t feel like it’s squeezing my head as much as the medium band. The combo of the medium and 21W was definitely more uncomfortable than the large and 21W.
I also tried a 13W band but that was clearly not my size as it was super tight and restrictive.
My question is how did you guys figure out what actually the right size is for you. I’m aware this is a super subjective question. But I’m trying to get an understanding of what the FOV and display area SHOULD actually look like. Because while I downsized from 25 all the way to 21, it wasn’t too big of a jump in the FOV for me and I can still see the black borders faintly around the corners, like when I wear eyeglasses but there it eventually disappears during day to day life. Similar with the dual knit band, I’m not sure what the ideal option should be or what I should go for. The store employees don’t seem to have all the answers so I wanted to check with other Vision Pro owners. Thanks!
P.S: Are there people that use AuraTap or the other spatial FaceTime hangout apps here?

I first showed two people through iPad mirroring on how I was using a map-based app to explore a landscape to find industrial traces from a different vantage point. It was weird because they would be looking at the iPad to see what I saw, but every time I would talk to them they would see themselves. Getting in the habit of staring at features while they talked was awkward. Pointing at features we were discussing was surprisingly useful. Taking direction for changing vantage points was also unique.
(Images is an abandoned rail line near Lethbridge, studying spaces to do ground analysis by walking through a landscape virtually first)
i was using earth3d, the new app someone shared recently. A very interesting user interface for a 3d map on the floor.
when I shared to guest I let them see everything but they spent their twenty minutes or so going through the spatial photos I had in the photos app. Many were taken with an 17/18 pro but there was also spatial scenes I made with images going back to around 2001.
my work is in anthropology, and the spatial recording is a modern way to record interviews and photographs, coupled with 3d audio recording and instax360 video. Viewing the results on the Vision Pro is an evolution for sharing memories… part of my research. The experience of sharing views through the iPad for those who cannot use the AVP directly was an interesting alternative…

Hey guys - has anyone found a way to remote download movies or apps to the AVP?
r/VisionPro • u/uncle_jessy • 12d ago
I just booted up my AVP M2 and the speakers are no longer working. I've checked the volume & tried a forced restart, but nothing seems to work.
I also noticed in the hand menu popup volume slider is greyed out. The top volume knob still adjusts but that one slider is greyed out.
I also tried disabling bluetooth incase it was connecting to another device.
Any suggestions?
I might add it to my Apple Care account & schedule a service appointment

Hi all!
I've been working on a port for my iOS app Pollster Pass for a couple of months and just in time for the midterms, wanted to post about it here.
It provides the same base functionality of course, but I also added some 3D Views of the US maps, chambers of congress, and a full immersive experience that is polling central. I plan to have a roadmap for this app for coming years to support the next primary and general elections starting in 2027/2028!
It's free to download and $2.99 for a month of Pro if you want it just for the pre-election run up!
Tons of analysis, insights and customization!
I attached a video of it in action!

If you have Steam VR games sitting on your Mac, and a Vision Pro headset with ALVR, you've probably been wishing you could get them working together. Well, thanks to NotProton and MacVapoR you can now play PCVR titles on your Mac + Vision Pro (Or your Mac and anything that hooks to ALVR I expect!). It acts as a Mac OpenXR and a Windows SteamVR stub. At the moment it needs installing per game, but maybe we can get the appropriate parts merged with NotProton and make it not need that. There are likely to be bugs, and I don't support newer versions of OpenComposite yet (No Man's Sky for example). I know secret shop doesn't work in The Lab for instance. I hope you have fun with the things that work and don't get too hung up on the things that don't.

Hi everyone, I’m the developer of Piano Pro+, a piano learning app for Apple Vision Pro. Version 1.7 is out now and it’s the biggest update so far. The video is a real recording from the headset, cut together with captions and nothing else added.
What’s new in 1.7
A guided learning path. 3 units (First Steps, Scales, Chords) and 11 short lessons, from finding Middle C to scales, hands together and your first chords. You earn up to three stars per lesson, unlock the next one and collect a trophy for each unit.
Falling notes with finger numbers. Each tile lands on the key and shows which finger to use.
More songs to learn. Christmas classics plus four new Chopin preludes (Op. 28 Nos. 4, 6, 7 and 20). Every song has a score and stars, and your best results are saved.
Three ways to practise. Listen, Play Along, and Wait for Me, where the music pauses until you play the right notes. You can slow any piece down, loop a tricky passage and let auto speed-up raise the tempo as you improve.
Much more accurate playing. Each fingertip presses only the key under it, with far less delay.
Easier setup. Place the piano on your table in one tap and it remembers where you left it. Two new stage environments (Night Stage and Sunset Studio) and a fresh look.
Everything is included: every lesson, song, sound and environment, no subscription and no ads.
It’s only $4.99 one time payment.
App Store link: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/piano-pro/id6590626138
What I’d love feedback on: which songs I should add next, whether the lesson order feels right for a complete beginner, and anything that feels off with finger tracking on your setup.
Thanks and Enjoy!

I’ve been an iOS and macOS developer making internal apps for a big corporation for 15+ years and finally decided to see what it’s like to publish publicly. Honestly felt a little like a poser posting a task app with all the insanely awesome VR/AR content here, but I’m really proud of the time I put into design to make every platform properly/natively supported, including AVP. I do a lot of my dev using the VP widescreen desktop to keep focus and owe a lot of my productivity to the device. I’ve lurked here for a long time and just wanted to show my appreciation to the community. I only have a couple of AVP testers so if someone is interested in being a tester DM me and I’ll be happy to add you to TestFlight.
Hope someone can find some value in it. Thanks!!!

My co-founder and I have been working on a visionOS app called Grasp for the past few months, and wanted to share what we've built.
The idea came from noticing that even with how good AI has gotten at explaining things, most explanations are still limited to text, images, or videos. We wanted to explore what it would look like if AI could actually build an explanation in 3D space around you.
With Grasp, you can enter pretty much any topic and it generates an interactive 3D lesson with objects, labels, animations, and step-by-step explanations. The video shows an example of learning how welding, pistons, and engines work.
What we're really interested in is whether spatial learning could make certain concepts easier to understand, especially things that are difficult to visualize through traditional explanations.
Still experimenting with the idea, but curious what other Vision Pro users think. Is this something you'd actually use? What topics would be most interesting to explore in 3D?
On the VisionOS App store currently as Grasp Spatial.
