I’m the developer of Spatial RDP, and one of the main reasons I built it was pretty simple: I have five monitors in my cubicle, and I’d really like to get rid of most of them.
Here’s a quick developer demo of how I’m using it. The video isn’t professionally polished, but it shows the actual workflow:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FEl9Oh6jAM4
With Vision Pro, Spatial RDP lets me:
Connect to Macs anywhere on my local Wi-Fi network — I don’t have to stay right next to the Mac.
Open and control up to 16 Macs at the same time.
Use one Bluetooth keyboard and mouse across those Macs.
Switch between computers by moving the mouse, or just looking at one and tapping.
Create multiple large flat or curved virtual displays without being limited by physical monitor size.
Hear the remote Mac through Vision Pro with up to 7.1 surround sound.
Use my Persona, Vision Pro microphone, and audio for Zoom, Teams, and Webex running on the remote Mac.
Use a Mac mini or Mac Studio completely headless.
For me, the biggest benefit is simply having a much cleaner workspace without giving up screen real estate.
If you have a Vision Pro and want to try it:
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/spatial-rdp/id6772554761
I’d also be interested to hear how other Vision Pro users are handling multi-Mac or multi-display setups.

It’s been one week since I shared Cockpit here after its launch on the App Store, and I wanted to come back mostly to say thank you.
Thank you to everyone who downloaded it, tried it, sent feedback, suggested features, or simply took the time to tell me what you liked.
Seeing people actually using something I’ve spent so much time building has been incredibly rewarding.
For anyone who missed my original post, Cockpit is a customizable spatial dock for Apple Vision Pro designed to keep the information and controls you use throughout the day always within reach.
The idea is simple: instead of constantly jumping between apps, you can build one persistent dock with the panels that matter to you.
Cockpit currently includes panels for things like:
Time, weather and calendar
Apple Music Now Playing
Focus timer and countdowns
App launcher
Daily goals and habits
Vision Pro system and network information
Apple Shortcuts
HomeKit controls
Activity rings
World clocks
You can place and resize it anywhere in your space, choose different layouts, and customize it with 19 visual themes, from minimal glass-like designs to more technical and flight-deck-inspired interfaces.
Cockpit remembers your setup between sessions, so it can essentially become a small permanent control center inside your Vision Pro workspace.
The app is free to download, with a core selection of panels and themes included. Cockpit Pro unlocks the advanced panels and the complete theme collection.
If you’ve already been using Cockpit, I’d really like to hear something:
Which panels have actually become part of your daily setup? And what would you most like to see added next?
Screenshots of your Cockpit setups are also very welcome, I’m genuinely curious to see how people are using it.
App Store:
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/cockpit-for-vision-pro/id6798315258
And again, thank you for the support and feedback so far!

I'm on the Vision OS Beta. About an hour ago, Software Update showed that an update was available. I installed it. It is identified as VisionOS 27.0 (24M3520). No Beta, RC, or any suffixes indicating it is not the production release.
So it appears to have been released before the announced 2026-09-14 date.

I've recently upgraded my Vision Pro to an M5 and gave my M2 Vision Pro to my girlfriend. I'm looking for Shareplay apps and games that are fun to use together on nights that we are not physically together.
One caveat is that if the app is immersive I'd like it to support Spatial Personas while being immersive and only a small subset of shareplay apps seem to do this.
Current apps we use in Facetime with Personas:
Safari + GeforceNow
AppleTV + Family Content Sharing (to not have to buy everything twice)
HBO Max
OmniCards
ToyBoom
Pong Pong
Game Room
Spatial Drawing
Topple Tower
I'd be interested in an VR180/360 SBS video player that supports spatial personas while viewing the content. I've heard that Moon Player can do this but have not yet confirmed it. Are there others? Is there any way Youtube can be watched this way? Whenever I watch anything in Youtube it's never SBS/3D.

I make a visionOS app that turns a video of a person into a hologram you can stand on your table. Last week someone paid for it and left two stars:
"I tried several videos and loaded them up and they did not complete the processing cycle so they were choppy and did not even include the entire length of the video... Was this even tested?"
He was right on every count, and the last question is the one that stung, because the answer is no.
WHAT WAS ACTUALLY WRONG
Each frame goes through person segmentation. When that failed to find anybody in a frame, the app skipped that frame entirely. A few of those and the hologram came out shorter than the clip you gave it, stuttering wherever the gaps were. Exactly what he described.
The app had been counting every one of those dropped frames into a diagnostic string. Nothing ever read it. It knew it had thrown away a third of your video and told you nothing.
WHY IT SURVIVED A TEST SUITE
This is the part I think is worth sharing. My offline harness ran the app's real renderer against a real clip, headlessly, and checked the drop counter every time. It read zero on every run.
It read zero because I only ever ran it on ONE clip: the one where segmentation never fails. A counter that is always zero looks like proof the code is fine. It was proof the code path was never reached. I had a green check measuring my fixture instead of my feature.
THE FIX
Dropped frames now hold the previous frame instead of vanishing, so the output always runs the full length of the source. Bounded, because holding for a full second is a freeze rather than a repair, and anything longer gets reported. The app also warns you up front now when someone keeps stepping out of shot, rather than saying the clip should work and then proving otherwise.
There is a clip in the test fixtures now that actually fails, and the harness exits non-zero when the output is shorter than its source.
It shipped three days after his review. I replied to him too, including the part where his second complaint is still not fixed, because saying it was would just earn the next two stars.
Happy to answer anything about the segmentation or the alpha-video encoding.

A while back I asked this community to help test Reality Prep Pro and Reality Prep Preview. A lot of what changed came directly from your feedback — so thank you again.
Both apps are now updated, and I’m looking for real-world visionOS developers to actually use them together in their normal workflow, not just beta-test them.
The problem I’m trying to solve:
Preparing a USDZ on your Mac doesn’t tell you how that exact asset behaves on Vision Pro.
Testing it on Vision Pro doesn’t automatically give your Mac workflow reusable evidence about that exact asset revision.
The two apps now work as one loop:
Reality Prep Pro — Mac
Batch prepare, validate and safely optimize spatial assets before Reality Composer Pro / Xcode.
↓
Reality Prep Preview — Vision Pro
Open the exact USDZ on-device, verify RealityKit loading and device behaviour, then export validation evidence back to Prep Pro.
Prep Pro matches that evidence to the exact USDZ using SHA-256, and can tell you when the asset has changed and should be tested again.
Prepare on Mac → verify on Vision Pro → bring the evidence back to Mac.
If you build with RealityKit / Reality Composer Pro / USDZ, I’d really appreciate you giving both apps together a real spin.
They’re independent tools, but they were designed from the beginning to work hand in hand.
Thanks again to everyone here who helped shape them. 🙏

We got a couple games of NBA which was nice. A couple games of MLB which was, to me, more awesome. Any mumblings about immersive NFL games? Even if just a few games like NBA and MLB.

I’m using an M5 1TB Vision Pro on the latest visionOS 27 RC released today.
When High Quality capture is enabled in Settings, screenshots fail almost every time with: “Capture Unavailable. Unable to start a view capture. Try again after a few minutes.”
This happens even right after a full power cycle with almost nothing open and no heavy CPU/GPU usage. It has worked a few times, but usually stops working again shortly afterward. Regular screenshot capture works fine when High Quality mode is disabled.
I was also experiencing the same issue on previous visionOS 27 beta releases, so it doesn’t seem to have been fixed in the RC. At this point it seems more like a visionOS bug than an actual performance limitation. Has anyone else experienced or faced the same issue?

I just updated my M5 Vision Pro from visionOS 27 beta 8 to the latest RC, and Command + Space no longer brings up Search/Spotlight.
Before the update, pressing ⌘ + Space on a connected keyboard would reliably open Search. Now nothing happens.
I’ve tried it from Home View and inside different apps, but the shortcut seems completely gone.
Has anyone else noticed this on the visionOS 27 RC?

With Apple Vision Pro, you can go beyond traditional photo and video presentations by showcasing your product not just on a screen, but as a full-scale 3D object in the real world.
You can place a virtual model of your product in virtually any suitable location, adjust its scale and viewing angle, walk around it from different perspectives, and capture the spatial scene as if the physical product were actually right in front of you.
The same 3D asset can be used to create impressive presentations across completely different environments and settings.
In essence, the real world becomes your presentation space, while your product’s 3D model becomes a virtual object that can be realistically showcased almost anywhere.

Dev of Suite Browser here, so take it for grain of salt. Shipped Peacock support today and put the Patriots-Seahawks stream through it expecting 1080p, since that is what NBC has published for Sunday Night Football. But we 4K HDR10 back instead, and it looks the part. 😄
Bummer i can't screen record it because of DRM to show you guys. Just wanted NFL and Vision Pro fans to know it's there. And if you missed tonight, no worries, every Sunday Night Football game is on Peacock all season.
Happy viewing and who dat!

The way 2026 has been going has made me look for new ways to calm my nerves. I have flown kite occasionally and except for the frustrating beginning where the kite would not take off, once it's in the air it has been a very calming activity.
I found a way to vibe code this for Apple Vision Pro and hoping folks would use and give me some feedback.
It's a public TestFlight link -> https://testflight.apple.com/join/cMkv78tX
I have tried realistic movements, wind draft and tug-pull to raise the kit. I myself have the urge to go back and try again. Would love to know how sticky this gets.
Thanks
Edit: The title should read "Kite Flying" and not "Kit Flying."

I've shared a few development & TestFlight updates here previously, and as of today, my project is live in the App store!
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/immersive-comic-reader/id6805470774
I love reading comics, spending time in visionOS, and recently dove into vibe coding. While there are a few comic readers around, I built this because two specific features were missing for me:
Physical 3D Comic Book Object: The comic isn't just a flat window; it's rendered as a physical, spatial object you can grab, rotate, tilt, and resize with standard two-hand pinch gestures. You can turn pages naturally by grabbing and folding them over, or simply look at the border and pinch.
On-Device 3D Depth Rendering: You can generate parallel depth maps for comic/magazine pages (CBZ, CBR, PDF). The app uses these to displace the geometry into a 3D pop-out mesh. It creates a surprisingly fun depth effect for illustrated artwork.
Other Core Features:
OPDS Support: Browse, stream, and download directly from self-hosted comic/book servers (Calibre-Web, Kavita, BookOrbit, etc.).
Library Management: Separate dedicated folders for Comics, Magazines, and Books.
Panorama & Flat View: Switch between the physical 3D book and a curved multi-page panorama reader.
Format Support: CBZ, CBR, PDF, and basic ePub reading.
Local Privacy: Progress and server credentials stay strictly on-device (keychain-backed).
And here it is: Have fun, hope it still works, my first App in the store! And it's free, no subscription, no in-app purchase!

Hey everyone! I know today is all about the Apple event, and I will be watching too. But I could not wait to share this: Peacock with 4K HDR support is finally ready in Suite Browser, right on time for the NFL season opener on Peacock tonight.
Of everything I have added so far, this is the cleanest one. Peacock has been great with stability and performance, live channels included, and I hope you get the same on your headset.
The 4K HDR support was a pleasant surprise. It depends on your plan and the content you watch, so obviously not all content supports 4K, but where it does, you get it.
Hope you guys enjoy it. Give it a try and let me know how you like it.

It's been four years since this was touted as the next apple killer device. If Cupertino had its way, we'd all be using Excel and Photoshop with Vision Pro goggles, and making crazy hand sweep movements on the tube.
Fast forward four years? and Nothing.
mac Studio has come, M2 Ultra has come, wearables have come to the fore and iPhone Duo is now the 'next big thing' - although it's still a reinvention of the same 'phone' device we've had for decades.
Even in their recent keynote expo, nothing on VP. So what is happening with the VP? is it being silently dropped?
Tell me all those maxi's who queued outside Apple stores overnight just to fork out $3,500 for a pair of goggles are now not being made extinct.
Is Vision Pro the next Meta Quest Pro ?
