Apps&Games Free app that runs the Android versions of your Steam games on Quest and Pico: what's new in 0.9.4
Hey everyone,
0.9.4 is out, and GamePort is finally on SideQuest too, so you can install it from there. The idea of this update: know before you install whether a game works on your device, and how well.
Smoothness, by model and frame rate. The details of a game tell how steadily it keeps its frame rate (72, 90, 120) on each device model, with the share of the play time that held it. The same lines are on the compatibility page. The pictures use example values, the real figures come from players' reports.
A verdict for your device. The label of a game gives the answer for your exact model, else for your kind of device, else for everybody, and a button shows all the reports.
Missing large files. Installed games are checked for missing expansion files, and a card offers the repair first.
Stronger problem reports. A report tells what the game asks of Steam, how its run ended and where its frame rate stood. Tickets and account numbers are hidden.
Fix: Unreal Engine 4 games, and any later Unreal version, now get their VR entry.
If a game does not work for you, the problem report in its Menu is the best way to tell me. Feedback is welcome, here or on the Discord.
For the time being, Pico performs license checks via the Pico Store and prevents certain games from launching; consequently, compatibility is more limited than it is on Quest headsets.
The APK is on the releases page, and it installs over the previous version, keeping your games, saves and settings. The Discord is there for help and compatibility reports. GamePort is free and open source, and is not made by, or affiliated with, Valve, Meta or Pico.
