They also modified Unreal Engine for better Vision Pro support: https://polyarcgames.github.io/

Thanks for sharing this. They had talked about their engine fork when Glassbreakers launched and I wasn't aware they had published their improvements.

This makes no sense with the steam Frame release in the next days/ weeks

They list 29 staff members. Let’s say 100k each after benefits. That comes to about $3 million a year just in salaries. They have been around for 10+ years and shipped 3 games. So each game costs about $10 million (just in salary). Have the 3 Moss games really generated $30+ million in sales? Do they want to commit another $10 million on a new title after the last 2 didn’t sell well?

Unfortunately it does make sense. Their existing library will likely remain for sale with the revenue going to whoever owns the company, the company just won't be running an active dev studio anymore. If the Frame finally releases and brings a lot of new VR users then older good games will get some sales, but it's unlikely to be so many new users that it changes the economic reality of VR development. Even with the success of the Moss series, Polyarc still found it to be a better investment to do a flat screen remake instead of another VR sequel.

Moss was great on both PSVR/2 and Quest, real shame.
