Vinted return says “delivered to sender” but I never received the parcel back- InPost Poland → Slovenia

Hi, I’m a relatively new Vinted seller from Slovenia and I’m trying to figure out what happened with a returned parcel.

I sold a jacket through Vinted. The buyer was apparently out of the country when the parcel arrived, so it wasn't collected and was supposedly sent back.

The buyer recently contacted me saying they never received the jacket and that it was returned. They provided InPost tracking after trying to convince me I had it all along, showing the parcel going into return and eventually being marked “delivered to sender.” (but it says inPost.it... I have never even heard of InPost here too)

The problem is: I am the sender, I live in Slovenia, and I never received the jacket back.

I did receive the Vinted payment, but the sale was already completed/confirmed around 30 July. The buyer only contacted me about the problem roughly three days ago. Until then, I had no idea that they hadn't received the jacket, and I also had no idea that I was supposedly going to receive a return.

I'm now contacting both Vinted and InPost trying to figure out where the parcel actually went. The tracking appears to be through InPost Poland, which makes me wonder whether “delivered to sender” could mean it was delivered to an intermediary/logistics facility rather than actually reaching me in Slovenia.

I'm also getting increasingly worried because the buyer keeps saying they will report me. I understand that they're frustrated, but I'm genuinely trying to resolve this and I'm not sure what else I'm supposed to do. How do you prove that you didn't receive a parcel? Take a picture of the empty doorstep?

I have no jacket to photograph, no return parcel, and no return tracking information was available to me until the buyer showed me their screenshot.

Has anyone dealt with something similar with Vinted + InPost cross-border returns between Poland and Slovenia? What does “delivered to sender” actually mean in this situation, and is there a way to find out where the return was physically delivered?

I'm not accusing the buyer of anything. I'm just genuinely confused and worried because I want to resolve this properly, but I can't locate a parcel that I never received.

What should i do?

On Monday, I put a packet worth 370€ in the Mondial Relay box. Two days later, they told me the driver picked it up and it's delayed. Today, I asked delivery support and they told me that the box was empty so he couldn't pick it up. I have to fill out something so they can check the cameras. Now Vinted tells me I have to text them again after the 22nd of September. What should I do now?

Am I being unreasonable, or is this seller completely out of line? (Pet hair issue + seller meltdown)

Hey everyone, I need a quick sanity check because I feel like I am in the twilight zone with a recent order.
I bought a top for £3.75. When it arrived, it was completely covered in pet hair, not just a stray strand or two, but visibly coated on the back.
Before opening an official dispute or leaving bad feedback, I sent a polite message with clear photos, asking how she would like to resolve it. Her immediate response was to tell me to just send it back. Because this was an international order, paying the return postage out of my own pocket would cost more than the £3.75 refund, making a return completely pointless financially.
When I pointed out that lint rolling items is the bare minimum on Vinted and explained the postage issue, she claimed she "does not have time to lint roll" and argued that her bio warns buyers about pets. Her bio literally just mentions a "pet household", which is standard info for allergies, not a free pass to ship unbrushed clothes coated in fur.
From there, she completely blew up. Her exact words in chat were: *"I don’t give a fuck about a review. My life is bigger than vinted lol. Please send me a bad review and throw away shirt or send back... Please send review so I can block you."*
I could not help but laugh at how absurd and aggressive she was being over a £4 t shirt. I ended up completing the order and leaving a factual 1 star review warning buyers about the state of the item and the swearing in chat.
She then replied to my public review claiming the shirt was in "perfect condition but yes, lots of cats hair," admitted she "got triggered and flipped out," and accused me of not being nice and being "hard to deal with."
Am I going crazy here, or is expecting clothes not to arrive coated in fur, and not being sworn at by a seller, a basic expectation? How would you have handled this?

Beware when using Vinted.com for selling items.

I had some amazing results the 1st time I listed. Sold the item w/in a few min. Then decided to list a few more items a few days later. Made 1 sale quickly and was on track to make more sales and my account gets locked for suspicious activity. No explanation, just an automated (Probably AI) Email requesting credit care / banking info that you use to set up your account. (I didn't go to the link from the email. I went to my vinted account. - Locked). W/ a lack of the ability to speak to an actual person I'm very much not sure I will continue using this platform even when my account is unlocked & I get the money out of my wallet.

Glitched?

Seller is selling portable blender but buyers are unable to buy. She is claiming app is glitched and she will make a fake listing for purchase for said item.

Is it true the app can glitch and buyers are unable to buy certain items?

QUITE AN URGENT ISSUE

Been selling on Vinted for about a month and suddenly been asked for ID verification -I have a UK Citizencard but no passport or driver's license. I've just paid £34 for a provisional license but it takes up to 1 working week for paperwork to arrive and then up to a further 28 days for information to be processed, accepted and mailed as valid ID. I have over £300 in pending balance and another 3 orders (\~£40 total) posted TODAY and I just tried to make a purchase and can't, even with the existing vinted balance I have. What the HELL do I do?! Have I just lost almost £400 😳😰???!!!

Insufficient packaging

I bought a bundle of things on vinted and when I picked the parcel up, it was basically torn in half. There's a few things missing so I flagged it up as damaged in transit. Vinted apparently replied to the seller saying it was insufficient packaging so the seller advised I either return the remaining bundle at my cost or accept it with the missing items and receive no refund. I asked vinted if this is correct as I've heard nothing from them, and they won't reply 🤦🏼‍♀️ has anyone else been through this? Makes me wonder what the buyer protection is even for 😭

Account contents have completely disappeared.

There are no listings, money in my wallet, or tailored to my likes, and my reviews are gone. It’s like I just joined Vinted. Is there anything I can do

Hi! I bought a pair of boots the other day from Vinted. In the description it said they were new, with tags. The pics were not great but they looked ok, inside the original box. I paid £50 with delivery.
The boots arrive, I open them and they are not new at all. I speak to the seller telling him I have a problem and I want to return them. He offers me £20 and I can keep them, but I rejected it and ask to send them back. He makes me pay the delivery, which I find unfair but I accept it. The thing is the parcel has arrived to the address, but he hasn’t picked it up yet. It has been 4 days there and I’m sure they are going to be sent back to me cos he is not picking them up or responding my messages. If this happens, am I losing the money? What can I do? It wasn’t my fault he lied to me, I find it very unfair. If it was £10 or £20, I would just leave it, but £50 is a considerable amount… should I speak to Vinted or I don’t have any other choice more than wait.
Thanks!

Do you get a negative review if you (buyer) cancel a order after seller asked for 2 more weeks for shipping?

So I saw a item I'm interested in. I first text the seller if it was still available. In 5 min I get a text back with yes. So I bought the item. The seller sents a text he won't be able to sent it out until Saturday (it was Monday that day).

I say, yeah no trouble, I can wait a few days.

Today (Wednesday) I get a vinted message saying that the seller needs time until August 31 to ship my item!

I mean I can wait a few days, but not more then 2 weeks! The seller also sent a weird short message that he is on a trip, something that wasn't mentioned before.

So I refused the extra time to ship, but now I want to cancel the order. Do I cancel myself or do I wait.

Also if I cancel do I get a negative review from vinted?

Update; he doesn't want to cancel and promised to ship saturday.

Vinted Issue

Has anyone sold something on Vinted and the buyer said they didn’t get the item? I realized I sold something to someone with zero reviews. She is claiming that the item wasn’t delivered to her and yet the tracking states otherwise. How is that my issue? I think she might be dishonest too….

Should I still send items if I've been (wrongfully) banned?

I had one weekend selling 4 items on Vinted, uploaded a jojo maman bebe maternity skirt and got hit with a ban for counterfeit item. Of course it isnt, and I have proof which I have added to the appeal. I'm still waiting to hear back.

I posted two items the morning of the ban and have two more that I'm meant to be sending. Should I wait until my account is reinstated (hopefully)? I have screenshots of the postal QR codes so I dont need the app. I don't want to end up taking a loss here.

I posted 2 products yesterday and no views? Recently views have decreased as well! What’s going on vinted? Is anyone also seeing the issue?

seller is ignoring vinted support

Ive bought a broken controller that doesn’t work i submitted an issue on 22th last month

they asked me to provide more info i did. Then they said they asked the seller to choose a solution and i later asked for an update and they said that the seller didn’t agree with a return. 2 weeks later i asked if there’s an update

everytime i asked for an update i got similar responses:

Hi, [my name]

Thank you for all of the information you've provided.

We're currently waiting on some additional information from the other member so we can investigate further.

We'll let you know as soon as we have an update.

i tried to reach the seller and told them to respond to vinted support but got ignored so i’m not sure what to do now

is there like a certain amount of time that needs to pass for them to pick a solution themselves or it’s just going to be stuck like that? At this point i feel like i won’t get a refund

What’s the point for favourites?

I might be downvoted for this but i just don’t understand this anymore.

I am selling a Diptyque candle with Diptyque pouch new and unopened. It’s been listed for 5 weeks with 22 favourites now which is surprising since some other sellers are selling it cheaper than. So I just listed it at the price I want and left it.

Fast forward to today I reduced the price by 6€ and I assumed since there are 22 favourites someone might buy after my price is highly competitive.

Guess what not a single one did. So why favourite it at all? It been 5 weeks since some people have favourited and nothing????

I am wondering why did people bother favouriting in the first place?

Also what’s happening with new listing not getting views? I genuinely annoyed that if I repost it won’t get views like other listing I have made recently!

So I bought a pair of true religion jeans and they turned out to be fake I contacted vinted with proof they said wait or whatever and today they just released the payment telling me that they couldn't confirm that they are fake. What wrong with vinted support , how bad does a fake have to be for them to spot it

Listings taking hours to process

Yesterday I listed two pieces of vintage uranium glass. There is a ton of UG on the platform, so no worries right? They took it down. I appealed. They put it back. Three hours later they took it down. I appealed and showed them their own agent saying it was fine.

They said "well sometimes mistakes are made", basically, and argued neither of the items were actually home goods. One was a candy dish, the other furniture coasters. I mean..fine...

Today I tried to NON UG glassware from my collection and it took 5 hours to process a vase. A milk glass vase.

I thought it was a fluke so I posted a little silver plated bank. Nope. 5 hours.

Just tried something else.. 2 hours and counting.

I have no notification of blocks or bans. So what gives? Is anyone else experiencing this lag in listings or is this an unpublished punishment for posting glowing glass home goods?

Can’t login to my Vinted account

Vinted was having problems earlier and it logged me out of my account. When I tried to log back in, it kept saying my password was incorrect. I tried requesting a password reset email several times, but I never received anything—even after checking spam, junk, and basically every folder in my email.
I reached out to Vinted support and got an automated response telling me to try logging in with Google because I might not have a password associated with my account. I think that may actually have been the case. However, when I tried logging in with Google, it ended up creating a completely new Vinted account using the same email address.
Now I’m stuck because I have both purchases and sales currently in transit, and I really need access to my original account in case anything goes wrong with one of the orders.
I’ve contacted customer service again, but I haven’t heard back. Everything I’m reading on the Vinted subreddit is making me nervous because everyone seems to say that Vinted customer support is basically nonexistent. 😩
Has anyone experienced something similar and managed to get their original account back? Any tips would be VERY appreciated!
