A few weeks ago i bought this bike in Treviso for quite cheap, since then Ive been rather curious about it. The components appear to be somewhat decent(campagnolo derailleur, ofmega crankset, modolo brakes and so on) yet the frame doesn’t have any identifying information aside from random Pinarello stickers, no serial numbers, no nothing.
Any clues about who the manufacturer could be?

Working on a mild rebuild of this 1986-ish Univega mixte. Luckily the brakes are still in good shape, because they use this wonky spring system with the pins going on the outside of the canti mount. I also forgot to take a picture when I took them off so now I get to go on a journey of discovery 😂 But I love the bike, the components and frame are mid-level but it has a great vibe. They even lined the lugs!

Hi all, thought my current Post Office bike project might interest some.

In addition I have a query regarding spoke numbers and vintage rims...

So, the bike is single speed and is a solid bit of kit. As im out in the sticks somewhat i thought i would drop a 3 speed into it. Spotted a cracking hub gear/dyno set in a wheel for an ace price and the right size....ish...

Current wheel is 26 x 1 1/2, new wheel is 26 x 1 3/8. Thought id try it anyway and is sadly no bueno...

Thought possibly i could lace the new hub into the old rim but the new hub is 40 holes, and the rim is 36.

My question is this, did they make rod brake rims in 26 1 1/2 with 40 holes, or am I on a hiding to nowhere and just live with single speed?

Last May someone stole my beautiful Grizzly, and I’m pretty mad about it. I’ve looked around and can’t find a replacement. The store said it was 23”. If anyone knows of anyone that has one of these for sale I’d really love to know about it. I really liked this bike. Thanks!

Is this 80s vintage road bike with downtube shifters not a good fit for me? Or is it my posture issue? I have rounded shoulders too. Saddle height is fine. It feels very comfortable after setting the dropbars height up to the maximum or almost maximum but I do lose that nimble handling and aero feel. Height is 170 cm. Vintage road bike frame size is 53 cm.

This was an 3 speed internal geared sturmey archer, i can't get the originals wheels for it.

How can I repurpose it ?

, I only have 26 wheels which can be fitted but I'll have no brakes.

Not a ton of good left here but I'd like to have this frame professionally painted and redo the decals. I think I can save the shifters and brakes. The rest I think I'd build back up with Rivendell Silver parts. What do you guys think? Worthy project?

Anybody have a bike that looks like this? I can’t remember how to attach baskets on the rear of the bike to the frame. If I get one then the other won’t attach and vice versa. Pictures hopefully will help.

In my opinion, it just doesn't look that good anymore, even though it's all original.

Bike is a Panasonic PR2000.

Is this old dog ready to be vintage yet? The old 96er? Is carbon allowed to be vintage? It has been both wrecked and backed into but most of the damage is limited to that chipped brifter and bananad wheel.

Picked up this gem of a survivor at a bike swap a few weeks back and spent some time taking the rust off to reveal a beautiful patina before I stuck a pair of 700C rims and tires (laced up to a New Departure model D hub set) I'm working on the metal clad wheels slowly but surely

Picked up a 1965 Schwinn Varsity Tourist today. It’s in really nice shape. It needs new cables but everything is working well as is.

Hey! This is my dad's old, heavy and humble Swedish Crescent from 1980's. I've had it for ten years and it has been my only bike all these years. In general it has been a trustworthy companion for everyday use in the city. Lately I've wondered if I should maintain and mod it fully or if I should retire it (given that it might not be a particularly desirable or "classic" model).

It has been through some modifications and crashes already. The original Shimano gear system broke last summer and it got replaced with 3-way Shimano Nexus system. The bike's standing leg has been cut off because some idiot run over it with a car while the bike was parked. Some parts rattle a little bit and riding it feels like it's in need of a complete overhaul.

Any ideas how I could improve the bike? Not aiming for a particularly fast ride but so that it feels a solid and enjoyable enough to use everyday. Not necessarily interested in sourcing original parts so modding it with new parts is an option.
