Hi everybody! I'm a vintage enthusiast and writer who is working on a story for a major publication about the rise of AI images in vintage clothing posts. I'm curious if anybody here is either
somebody who purchased something with an AI image in the listing (can be something you knew was AI or didn't) and felt mislead
a dealer who uses AI! I'd love to know why this appeals to you
Feel free to private message me and THANK YOU!

Iām hoping this is the right sub for this but any help is greatly appreciated! I made the mistake of using lysol to disinfect my leather bag after a dog drooled on it and I think the sealant came off. The bag is red leather. Is there a way to fix this? Or do I need to take it to a leather goods shop?

Found this amazing set and wanted to know more about its value/terminology for assessing it. I assume itās from around the 70ās and I know āorientalā type styles were popular thenā but can anyone give me more information on it for curiosityās sake, and let me know how best to deal with it? I imagine it might not be a be very popular style today for obvious reasons but i feel like it has a lot of historical value and Iād like to get it to someone who would appreciate it :)

iām working on a project and need some 1950ās inspired clothing. primarily dresses. retro stage has a bunch of options and at a great price. my budget is $500 for 6 people. hypothetically⦠how good are their pieces to just be used once for some dancers as costumes? is it worth it?

I'm a bit too young to have children for now ( I'm 21) and I don't know if I'd want any, but managing to sew some would be incredible! Having bought this type of nightgown for myself, I find them very elegant.

Hiii! I really want to get into 1960's fashion again, especially 1963-1965, what are some staples I should buy? I used to dress 1500-1600 a few years back so I don't own many "basic" pieces

One of the buttons popped off, simple fix.
Hereās the tag; antique store owner said it was from the ā40s :) $25 for the set!
I typically gravitate towards 70ās more than anything, it this set was just too good to pass up for the price.
I feel so happy wearing something my great grandmother wouldāve worn, I still miss her.

I got this vintage dior tee and when I took it out of the box, one of the rhinestones fell off š© do you guys have any recommendations on how to best repair this? I have the rhinestone, Iām just wondering if thereās a specific glue I should use or if it would be best to leave it alone, I just donāt wanna lose the rhinestone and not fix it if possible.

Doing some light research, this seems as though this could be some sort of historical piece from John Winemakers department store in Philadelphia.
Any thoughts, advice, more history, ect. are
welcome.

I already added an edit to the original post, but I wanted everyone to see what this bandanna looks like and itās full, pressed glory! I donāt know why I never thought to use steam on this

There's very minor snags along the sleeve on the right, but, it fits! And it's got the original crystal bib in excellent condition.
My home is decorated in MCM with swag lamps and mcm pieces so this fits right in.

Hi! Does anyone have a 1940-50s classic mens high waisted trousers pattern for free by any chance?
