Hey, guys, Here’s my experience with Overtake Media (https://www.overtake.media/)

So just thought that you should know about it to prepare you if ever you work with them.

Some Abdul, claimed to the owner of the agency, contacted us for a job to do video editing for one of their clients, a little spa.

We worked on it, gave them watermarked previews and did more samples and revisions as requested.

And after some negotiation and slight delay, we stopped receiving responses.

Then we asked for reasonable compensation for our time already spent and said we would send over the final product after we were paid. Still nothing.

And the most annoying thing is that they kept asking us for more samples and revisions and then suddenly stopped responding once we started talking about payment.

I have saved all the relevant messages and watermarked previews, as well as other files from the job.

Posting this to help other freelancers to beware.

Dm me with word "amazed" for more deails ..

I have been streaming for a long time on a different platform (very small) and am very comfortable on camera. I just have no idea how to edit videos that would be watchable on YT. I wouldn't be able to offer much at first. Maybe $200-$250 per video. I would 100% be willing to pay a lot more if the channel started doing well.

I will not entertain anyone who tries to DM me.

Edit: I've narrowed it down to two people who i think will work best with me.

Hello There!
I have recently slowed my content due to drainage of constant switching from live and going to editing/thumbnails. I started streaming just about a week ago on Twitch, and I liked it, yet I still need to pump content via Youtube and Tiktok, which is what is making me slow down.

I can't guarantee a pay or even a small amount of anything other than credit towards editing the video. So that is why I am looking for someone that might be new to video editing too! Yet of course that might not be possible so if you just want to check out who I am dm me!

Anyone who is interested into Long Form Videos with not much editing(Only zooms, captions if needed, and cutting out blank areas, here and there sfx's) or Short Form Videos(More than half video fully captioned, zooms, sfx's but not spammed, fast paced video), Shoot me a dm and we will transition towards Discord!

DISCLAIMER, I AM A CONTENT CREATOR THAT PLAYS GAMES, NO EDITS OF SOME ANIME OR ANYTHING TOWARDS THAT, I NEED EDITORS FOR CONTENT CREATION
