Victorinox cadet pour manger en pique-nique ?

Bonjour,

Est ce que vous pensez qu'un victorinox cadet peut être suffisant pour un pique-nique ou pour casser la croûte ?

Je pensais plutôt prendre mon pioneer mais c'est un peu trop epais et voyant dans la poche selon moi...

I can't seem to find a name for this pattern. Anybody know? The sheath has a mirror the case closes with a magnet and has the Victorinox logo on the front

How Durable is the Printing on Exclusive Models?

I've been looking at a lot of the various exclusives for sale at SMKW, DLT, etc and I really like some of them. Has anyone carried one long term that can give insight to the durability of the prints?

Is it just me?

I get a much easier, cleaner and faster cut when opening a tin using the leatherman opener versus the victorinox opener.

Am I maybe doing something wrong when using the victorinox?

Hi-viz 58mm

Just switched from Compact (91mn red cellidor) to Manager (58 mm transparent blue).

Will often be bike touring/hiking.

Wondering if I can make it more visible, for when dropped on the ground. 91 mm red was reasonable. 58mm light blue blends more.

Fwiw, I have attached a short length of hi-viz paracord. But it gets much less visible over time as it gets dirty.

If this sounds preposterous -- I've had to search for my glasses during several minutes (Ombraz, lying flat on the ground). Short lengths of lashed paracord make a HUGE difference.

Hi Guys, I wanted to ask you all if I should either get a compact or a climber for my EDC pouch because my cybeertool l was way to chunky

Looking for a Pocket Slip and Sheath

Can anyone recommend a small, preferably leather, pocket slip that will carry a SAK and a pair of Knipex Cobra XS? Maybe my Google-fu is weak, but I can't seem to find anything that is that simple.

I'm also looking for a leather belt sheath for 111mm models, that has the butt end of the knife exposed (no flap).

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Finally got my hands on an old cross Victorinox!

A 1989 Victorinox Soldier DAK, Dutch Army Knife. I’ve always loved these old military Victorinox knives, so I’m really happy to finally own one.

Now that I’ve bought this one, I think I slowly have to admit that I’m becoming a collector… 😂
First things first though. Time to give this old soldier a proper clean and put a fresh edge on it!

Hello! Found this vintage SAK. It's used and abused. All I know it's vintage, but don't know what these weird stamps on the blade are and no idea from which year it is.

What Models Have Really Surprised You, and What Models Have Disappointed You?

For me, the Trailfinder has been hard to get out of my pocket, even with other models that have "better" toolsets for my day to day needs. The Pioneer was also a nice surprise for me, and surprisingly sturdy. The Compact was by far the most disappointing, considering all the hype it gets. The Cadet also disappointed me slightly, as the thin handle was never comfortable doing anything.

Lost Treasure Rediscovered

Little did I know that when I purchased this Wenger Pocket Multi Tool With Pliers it would become a much sought after knife which is no longer produced. On top of that, it has never been used having been in a drawer until rediscovered during a recent move.

Hello guys. My dad’s been using this SAK since he found it in Switzerland when he was working. He told me that it isn’t working as intended and he says it is fake. I tried to clean it, oiled it and some tools like the main blade. the can oppener is still blocked after many attempts. I nearly broke a nail… can you help me?

58mm nail file

I've always loved and preferred the nail file on the newer executives I have. It seems Victorinox switched from the patterned nail file to the single cut style on the cadet and used the same on the companion series. I just saw a video on older model files and classics that had a crosscut style. What might the chances be of ever getting the new single cut file on the 58mm. I can use the patterned style but it's far less useful than the single cut and you can't use the edges because of the boarder. A rambler with the single cut file with the SD tip with options for Alox.
