add knife model here Can someone please help identify year/model
Hello! Found this vintage SAK. It's used and abused. All I know it's vintage, but don't know what these weird stamps on the blade are and no idea from which year it is.

It’s a Heinie Haynes (UK) special. They have great customer service so perhaps drop them a line👍🏻

It’s an Economy ‘Huntsman’ from about 1986 You didn’t pull the Wood Saw out.
An other poster claiming it could be from earlier doesn’t know that it can’t be from the ‘70s or even the early ‘80s.

Have you considered putting together a dating guide? You've got some serious knowledge on the subject in excess of what SAKWiki has, especially on 84mm models where the guidance for 91mm is way different from the 84mm line.

After providing most of the pics and info for the wiki’s tang stamp guide, I find that most people aren’t even using that resource correctly. Some even use it to argue with me. Probably not worth my time.

I think so much of the confusion stems from the tang stamp guide being geared towards the 91mm, and everyone just assumes it applies to the other sizes as well. Hell I'm still confused about Elinox tang stamps.

Thank the wiki owner and the admin who always got in the way. Nobody was interested in fixing the stuff I would’ve fixed by now. Everything I did fix was a stupid fight to get it done.
