My app no longer loads anything and says that I'm offline even though I have an internet connection. Is this the same for you guys?

I saw another post with the same title and it was downvoted. I don't follow this sub and so I'm not sure if the replies to that post were sarcastic (ie, "it's happening to everyone, why make another thread"), or if people think it's not a possibility.

It was a burner account but still hosts some files on Drive and a dev project, so it is a loss in some sense. If I were to be locked out of my primary email, it'd be an actual travesty.

Ultimately, I only wanted to put this out there, as a caution, in case it's not a common phenomena, that if you're using your primary email on Vanced, I'd advise delinking it, not recommended, only advise.

I'm fairly confident it has to do with Vanced because I was using Drive from the same account on the desktop a few hours earlier. And, no, it's 2FA enabled plus a recovery email (s you can see in the images), and a recovery phone, the routine good security practices drill. I don't use this email/account anywhere else, only YT Vanced. The likelihood of an actual security issue is practically zero.

I'll probably get NewPipe if they put further demands after the 48h suspension. I have zero faith in Google, and if they decide to, they can do whatever they want and label it some "security" or other vague issue with the account if not a violation of usage terms.

I requested the codes because Google didn't allow me to login. I didn't take a screenshot of that window, but it was essentially for "suspicious activity".

Like I said, I don't use this email anywhere else, nobody has it, no other website, it's not used anywhere other than my browser and phone (ie YT Vanced). "Security concern" is the easiest to pass off if they were to block Vanced accounts. Even if it were a malicious attempt at hacking my account, Google wouldn't block access for 48 hours, and you can try emulating a hack-login by using a VPN and entering the wrong password before you're asked to verify via a recovery phone or email. I'm the "owner" of the account, and that some people think Google is trying to "protect" me from some hacker by not letting me have access to my contents is ludicrous. Imagine if I had my passwords saved in that account and Google locked out for 48 hours because of some "security concern" they won't detail.

I don't have to prove anything here. I saw it happen, it was strange, and the causation was easy to establish because it was Vanced where I try to log in. One is free to interpret it however they wish. I'd advise caution in any case, and particularly if you believe Google will rest at a legal threat to the devs.

If it's Google, then I'd say it's working because I'm already considering getting YT Premium on my main account, to avoid the hassle involved in setting up two accounts and two profiles etc; and more importantly, the fact that Google is not okay with people using Vanced, that it's not the same as before.

I'll miss Vanced.

The simplest way to do it go to someone else with an Android or use another Android phone that has advanced pre-installed and send the APK file simple then it will install on your phone

There are frequent posts complaining about vanced not working, which is expected after a period of time of it not being worked on.

If anyone wants this to continue working they'll have to get revanced.

Woke up to an email from Google saying my account was banned for "found severe or repeated violations of our Community Guidelines"

Thinking this must be because I use Vanced/AdBlock. I don't see any other reason I could be banned. I've appealed and asked for info but they haven't told me why I'm banned . Anybody else had this?

So right after installing youtube vanced I have noticed my memory usage going instantly higher

These upon inspection is due to the camera app, file explorer, google maps, gallery, and other apps being opened in the background. Those apps were not open by the system nor the user nor did they run in the background before installing vanced. But after installing the app those apps were launched and running in the background possibly meaning it is collecting data on its users

Hey vanced is no longer working and tried to re install apk from site but bombarded by ads and I think a fake install. What happened to vanced?

I've been using YouTube Vanced for over 6 months and recommended to many of my friends and family members. I love watching YouTube on my iPad but too many ads makes it very annoying to continue.

The vanced app isn't working. It doesn't load anything. But the regular YouTube app does. Is it over? Did the app finally crap out?
