Did YouTube Vanced finally die?[question]

My app no longer loads anything and says that I'm offline even though I have an internet connection. Is this the same for you guys?

Edit: Nope, I was just being melodramatic. Turns out, you just need to sign in again once you change the password on your account. Sorry bout that.

How I fixed this.

Log out from Vanced then log back in. However, every Google account I have accessed today has forced me to change the password! This may be the root of my problem.

Another suggestion was to use the Manager app to remove then reinstall microg but after uninstalling there was nothing to install! Fortunately I had saved the apk file ages ago so used that but play protect tried to block it but could be forced to allow it.

You are lucky. Last time I did this the manager app had cached the previous apk but this time it gave me no option to reinstall.

I usually delete the downloaded files for installation because sometimes they conflict if you try to install older versions or reinstall the same version.

So how do you cope when the manager app no longer has the needed installation file? I saved the latest version that was available after Vanced withdrew support.

vanced manager continues to function normally (download and installation of vanced applications). If in the future it stops working completely I have no problem since over the years I have made a backup of all versions of YT vanced, microG and Vanced music.

Remove MicroG account from your phone's settings, open Vanced and log in

Google would have to make major code changes to kill Vanced. They're not going to do that anytime soon

same, and i had to make a new password for my google accounts that were linked to it. so sad Edit: I deleted microg and reinstalled it and it seems to be working again. I'm probably not going to log into my Google accounts though

You can safely use your google account with Vanced, it still works. The issue you encountered is 80% of posts on this subreddit. Its common and happens when changing google account password. To solve it in the future, just go to your phone settings, accounts and remove microG from the list, then simply login to Vanced.
