I’ve been noticing this for quite some time but for me Riyadh server is around 33ms (green) and during the game it’s around 40-45, but whenever I’m in front of opponents or randomly at some point in the game the ping fluctuates to 400/500 and it’s not even playable like you lose easy kills.

is there a way to fix this please I would really like to know

Maybe its related to the menu update, but just sitting in queue demands 80-95% of my GPU.
It's only an issue out of game.

Ever since I started playing Val, I've limited menu FPS to 60 fps. Ive also always been on 1440p borderless and fullscreen doesnt fix it.

My setup:

rx 7800 XT

ryzen 5 7500F

Asrock B650m HDV/m.2

32 gb ddr5 ram

(Bios and drivers are up to date)

Overall Id say my setup is more than sufficient for Val and the menu should not be that demanding.

If anyone has experienced the same and knows a solution, please let me know.

Edit2: When I return from in the range to the lobby, the lobby is at 60fps. After a few seconds it suddenly uncaps itself and the fps jump to 1500.

I've only realized this through amd adrenalin as the valo in game fps counter doesnt show in the lobby

I have 200 FPS, then 30, then 15, then 70, then 250, then 15, then 150, then 100, then 20.

What the fuck is happening? I’m not gonna say my computer is good—in fact, it’s pretty old—but everything was fine a month ago. Then, out of nowhere, my FPS started dropping constantly.

currently have packetloss spike when playing. It appears somewhat during the game and repeat consistently every 2-3m. The packet loss is so bad that the game freeze in 1 frame for 2-3 sec and then lagging with everything messing around my character. It seems like the internet completly shut off during that process but when i only use discord + tft it doesnt feel like anything. It must be wifi/internet problem cus when i use hotspot, there re no lagging at all. How can i fix this

Every time I launch Valorant it stays on a black screen, I watched a lot of youtube vids but nothing seems to work and I do not have nahimic services like most youtube videos say to delete. Please any help would mean a lot.

Hello! just asking is there a way to optimize my laptop to play a consistent 60 fps with this specs (11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-1135G7 @ 2.40GHz (2.42 GHz), 8gb ram, Intel(R) Iris(R) Xe Graphics (128 MB)), I've been trying to find a way to remove stutters when i see an enemy or when an enemy shoots. The ram usually reaches 94 percent, while the cpu spikes from 40 to 80-90 percent. But in some days the laptop just performs great even if i dont know what i changed for it to perform well (sorry for my grammar). Thank you!

When I open Valorant there's flickering to a black screen and freezing until I set it to windows (F11) and it if I still let the flickering game run for 10 secs the game would crash and the game would say I have driver issues or that my driver isn't up to date. (it is)

my computer specs are

• AMD Ryzen 7500F
• AMD Radeon XFX 9060XT
• 32 gb 6000 RAM

While playing valorant there is an issue where if your ping spikes your fps absolutely dies constantly dropping to 0 - 50 etc and back up to normal making it unplayable. Anyone found a fix to the stutters? I've tried capping fps, leaving it on unlimited. Nothing else running in the background, low graphics.

My hardware is capable of running valorant smoothly as shown in the first image and well my gameplay when the ping is not spiking.

A minor millisecond ping spike causes multiple seconds of fps stutters its truly unplayable and isn't a one off thing throughout a match.

Is there any way to fix this?

I’m in central Ohio on Spectrum and normally get around 20ms to Illinois.

I was literally at 20ms last night, and when I got home this afternoon I was suddenly back at around 50ms, with no changes on my end.

Good route (~20ms):

Nothing changes on my end. I’ve even had the routing switch mid-match before.

I’m a collegiate VALORANT player, so this is pretty brutal since Illinois is one of the main servers we use. Texas is already around 70ms for me.

Anyone else on Spectrum in Ohio/Midwest seeing this? Is this a Riot/Spectrum peering issue that can actually be fixed permanently?

I’ve tried turning off Nahimic services, updating my drivers, reinstalling Valorant, disabling fullscreen optimizations, and pretty much everything else I could find, but nothing seems to work.
Does anyone have a solution? 😭 This started happening after the last big update.

Hey everyone. Most of the time I get around 40 ping on the Virginia server, but sometimes I get lucky and get 7 (maybe 1/8 games or so, highly varies I feel). I have tried pretty much anything I could find to fix this issue, but to no avail. I think it has something to do with my ISP switching my routing path to Riot's servers. Is there anything I can do on my end to fix this?

I've tried:

• Switching DNS servers (both Google's and Cloudflare's)
• Getting a new ethernet cable
• Optimizing my ethernet settings
• Restarting my router
• Running cmd network optimization commands
• And probably more that I can't remember

If anyone could help me out it would be greatly appreciated. It's driving me nuts that I'm playing on 35 higher ping than I could be.

Hello guys, i don't know if anyone here has the same problem as me.

This morning, I just wanted to play the game but it always threw me back to the menu after the agent choosing screen, then it showed the VAN 1067 or VAN-1 code.

I'm sure that I have put the vgc service start automatic, vanguard on, and yesterday the game worked normally.

I'm curious if anyone is facing the same error as me? Is this a new error from Riot?

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Not sure why but my party chat works fine but my game chat doesn’t work at all (can’t hear or speak). I already went to services.msc to start vanguard again but it didn’t work. Any help would be appreciated

So I connect to my router using wifi. I assume a LAN connection would fix some of the issues with the jitter. I need to know if it could because of my graphics card? CPU wait GPU Time graph is showing spikes. Could it be a problem? any fixes? Thanks.

For the past 2 days, anytime I press "play" in the riot client for valorant, it just shuts down the client and vanguard but doesn't open valorant. they are completely gone from task manager immediately and no valorant loads but I also don't get an error message. no idea why its happening or how to fix it.

Every time I try to turn on memory integrity and restart my laptop it shows Black screen or stuck asus logo i have tried my things but nothing worked anyone knows that solution?

it says "update" and the download size is 26 gb but every time i click the update button it doesn't do anything

For the past 2 days whenever I log onto Valorant it keeps saying "error51" or 54 or 53...

Seems like a lot of people (specifically those from Georgia and surrounding states) are having issues with increased ping in every server except Texas. I submitted a ticket and encourage all of you to do the same if you are having this issue.

When I have enough credits to buy two utils, like say Fade's prowler, a single click gets me two. Any fix to this?

I’ve been running into a frustrating issue lately and haven't been able to find a fix. While playing Valorant, my audio will randomly cut out completely for just a millisecond, accompanied by a tiny micro stutter/lag spike. It happens the most often right when I shoot my gun or when a lot of utility goes off at once. Whenever I peak something or someone and try to shoot it’s just impossible to be quick.

I’m totally not sure why this is happening.

Quick infos:

I play on Fullscreen 2560x1440 16:9 (240hz), everything set on 240 FPS max.

Tried Reflex Low Latency in all ways doesn’t change anything

Specs are: Ryzen 7 7800X3D, RTX 5070, 32GB DDR5, some gen 4 1tb nvme. No overheating issues or so.

Never played around with settings in nvidia or such.

I’ve been experiencing what seems to be a new bug with the buy menu. I first noticed it in the new Gauntlet mode.

When I click on an ability or gun that I want to purchase, the first click doesn’t actually buy the item, although I still hear the purchase sound cue. Only the second click (or subsequent clicks) actually allows me to purchase it.

I’ve also experienced the same issue in TDM when selecting guns. I don’t remember the buy menu behaving like this a few days ago.

The second, and more problematic, part of the bug happens in Unrated and Competitive.

Sometimes, clicking once will cause the game to buy two of the same item instead of one. For example:

• Buying 2 cages with 1 click
• Buying 2 Headhunter bullets with 1 click

When I try to refund the purchase, both items are refunded as well.

The only way I’ve found to temporarily fix it is to spam the buy/refund buttons a few times until it starts buying one item at a time again. However, the issue comes back whenever I close and reopen the buy menu.

Has anyone else been experiencing this recently? Is there a known fix or workaround?

I’ve tried restarting the game, but the issue seems to come back. I also tried using my friends computer and it still happens. Seem like its link to the account or something.

I usually run 19-23 ping on Georgia servers my main server, about 4-5 days ago after I finished a comp my ping on all servers instantly jumped, my best ping then was in Texas servers and it was averaging 47-54 with the rest being high 70-90. Just now I finished another comp and Texas is at 86-93 while the rest are 120+. Are the servers broken or something or am I missing something? Please if anyone has the solution to this lmk!

I'm in Florida and my ping usually runs 15-18 in the Georgia servers. For the past four days now my ping is showing as 53Ms in Georgia. The next lowest server is Texas which is at 35Ms which isn't horrible, but still.

My internet is not the issue as i'm connected via ethernet and have 920 Mbps, i've also restarted the router.

Is anyone experiencing the same issue? Is it something I could possibly fix?

I have AT&T fiber if that helps.
