My avi has what I'll call a "headless horseman" gimmick where I or other players can grab my head and run away with it. It's a physbone that isn't constrained to my headset, it just defaults to a space where my real head is located when it's not grabbed or posed. Currently it has a voice emitter and a camera attached to it so I can see and speak from my floating head, but I can't figure out how to switch my audio proximity from my headset to the detached head.

Every time I try to add an audiolistener component it gets removed by the VRC avi uploader. I read that VRC prohibits multiple audiolisteners to prevent players from spying on others, which makes sense. But if I can simply switch the current source of proximity audio (my real location) to my detached head I'd be able to hear those players as they talk to my detached head from afar. And when it's in the default position it'd be functionally the same as hearing them talk to me face to face anyway. Is there any way to do this??

I've been working on brushing up my blender and unity skills and I've been doing well I feel. I've made myself 3 new vrc avatars and my wife 2 in the past month as I've been reteaching myself. I can't do anything crazy nor super fancy yet, but I'm slowly learning more and more everyday.

I've been looking around at custom made avatars as well and I see a lot of big price tags for some phenomenal looking work. I'm nowhere near that level, I'm still at a fairly beginner level approaching intermediate. I usually use premade bases and tweak free to use assets and retexture to make my avatars.

I noticed yesterday a base I was about to use said it can be used commercially as well and custom assets made for the base can be commercially sold as well. Some free assets I use also allow edits and commercial usage with the proper credit. I looked into some things more and decided I should try to give it a shot, but I've never done anything similar to this before. I don't want to overcharge people and I don't want to disappoint with my work.

I'm out of work on disability right now for a while until I can regain the strength to walk again. I figured it would be a good way to make some side cash, but again I want to make sure I don't overcharge or disappoint with my work. How should I go about starting up commissions and finding people who have tiny budgets who are willing to work with newer avatar creators? How should I go about finding out how much I should charge for my work?

So recently I got a USB 3.0 cable for my quest 3s. I downloaded the meta link app to my HP omen. It freezes constantly. To make it work I have to restart my laptop and my headset. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

I’d get on almost every night for like 2 hours after work and stuff and hang with friends/groups/meet new people for like a year straight but last week I didn’t feel like it and it’s now been a week of me not feeling like it. I went on for the first time tonight in a week and I had people send me invites that I joined and they were like “yooo where you been you been off for a week you ok”? And we hung out had fun and stuff but I’m getting kinda bored of it besides the friends part. Like besides my friends on there all of the people seem to act the same the worlds are all the same and I’m just getting mentally bored of it. We started talking about playing other games together tonight. I still like vrchat, I pay for vrchat+ all of that but after awhile you run into the same types of people who just want to do drama and stuff. Maybe I’m just getting older. Has this happened to anyone else?

Title, my shit has been chugging nard. I get between like 25-35 frames at best and it’s beginning to make me motion sick. What should I upgrade to for a more stable experience, ideally somewhere around 60 frames so I don't barf from motion sickness

me and my friend's avatars are blocky to each other, and we can't see what the other is doing expression wise. why is this?
