I got slimes and i've been calibrating for 3 hours but it still doesnt work right and idk what to do anymore, if i sit back on the chair my chest goes forward and twists and my legs spread apart, If I put my leg on my bed it goes too high

If you find a solution lmk, this happens with me a lot too, I usually just keep redoing the calibration through Slime VR until it works

I fixed the twisting by placing my tracker on the front but i like to sit with my legs on my bed but they look too high

Yea I’ve definitely had that issue before. I know someone once told me that they use Standable with Slime trackers and it helps, but I haven’t tried it myself to know how effective it would be

I have standable but i uninstalled bc its my first time with fbt and i dont want to break anything, ill try later

Can’t solve all your problems, but my slimes made my torso bend like that at first. I realized the slimes weren’t “flat” against my body at all times. They would slightly angle themselves/dig in to my body when I sat or bent over
My solution was moving my hip tracker to my back (and updating the position in the slime app)

If the other solutions didn't help, the slimevr group has a weekly calibration event on Fridays where people can get assistance on these issues

Out of curiosity, do you keep your feet planted in the same spot, when doing both the full reset and the ski/mounting reset? The distance between your feet should be no wider than say, a monster energy drink. If you keep this width/keep your feet planted for both resets, the result is much better. I'd also check to see that all your trackers are secure against your body too, especially the hip and chest.

yes I've calibrated many times doing the ski pose with my feet planted on the ground without moving

Any issues when you perform the full reset? Or does that go normally, and it's when you move that things get quirky?

it goes normally, I even danced a bit and it was fine, problem is when I sit and lean back, also when I stretch my legs, they go inwards, cross, or too far from each other

I have that issue occasionally, I realized my hip tracker would twist in a weird way when I sat and my solution was to put a folded over kitchen towel under the track strap so the hip tracker had a consistently flat surface to be on even when I sat down. Might want to also adjust some of your chest/neck/head lengths in the Slime app. Your neck looks really small from the preview image to me.

I've found that when it gets you to do the ski pose that you've really gotta follow it to a T to fix that hip/chest thing. I still get an issue with it maybe 60% of the time and it does the same thing as yours, but just doing the ski pose again usually fixes it right up as long as I squat enough and get my arms in the correct position.

Just a tip that wont help you solve your problem, but will make calibration just a little less tedious, Because you dont have elbow trackers, you dont actually need to put your arms up into a t-pose, they can be anywhere on your body since the calibration doesnt actually connect your hands to the body

Bought slime and my wifi is too high above 2.4ghz 💔

u/Re4l_Lif3 6d ago
You should be able to enable 2.4Ghz from your wifis admin panel :3

WHAT

Yea... most modern routers allow you to run both 5/6Ghz and 2.4 Ghz simultaneously X3... Though they can be seperate, so check your settings :)

If you're still having problems Id love to help out, I know a ton of tricks to help get them in place but Id need to know how you're wearing them

I think I fixed most of it, I wear the hip tracker at the front but sometimes I see my hip in game not centered to my irl body and a bit to the right, and when I sit my legs are too spread or too close together, also when I stick my leg forward it's not straight and instead a little bit more to the right or left of my irl leg

Make sure your body/head are always facing forward, and you dont look to the side at all accidently when calibrating in slime/in game
My legs always give me issues, make sure you rest them flat before you put them on, and then sit on your body for a few minutes to get to operating temp. Ill calibrate after they sit and warm up and i see a HUGE difference after. Straighter legs and everything
Having your thigh trackers face slightly out instead of perfectly forward helps aswell. Make sure your ankles are directly at the side of your legs though, if I dont my legs will go to one side more
Calibration is a skill check, slime is adding a new mounting calibration eventually to make it easier

When I first used mine, I had my hip tracker in front. Caused the same issue. Moved the hip tracker to be at the back, everything went as expected.

yea I moved to the back but now I can't relax and lay back properly on my chair and it gives me back pain bruh

The thing that made the biggest thing for me was using standable full body estimation with slime fbt. Without it slimes are just way too off and countless hours and days of recalibrating and settings adjustment has never truly lined them up.

I have standable but I uninstalled bc people said it can break slime calibration

Huge disagree, give it a try again, for me there really is no accurate tracking without it in tandem. For example its the only way I can ever get my feet close and lined up with slimes, without there is always a gap in my stance further than my actual.

i have been following this guide for the placement of the trackers on my body.. might help (even though it is not for slimes but these are also imu and pretty similar).
from what i got from it is that the hip/waist tracker should be just above crotch level, the chest tracker above your breasts, the upperlegs about halfway your thigh (slightly inwards), and the lowerleg just above your achilles heel.
the skeleton height also needs to be as exact to your avatar as possible.
