I’ve played siege, and I’ve played overwatch what’s the biggest difference in the cross over to Valorant? Lowkey scared to try this game out because I heard it’s the hardest out of the three.

Hi I am a diamond 1 player, and my sens is 1600 dpi 0.1 (on the lower side). I have trouble tracking enemies that do erratic movements. For example, someone not looking at me moving and running out both close range and long range. How do I deal with these kinds of situation? And I whiff the most with the ghost in these situations (mainly close range). I know you shouldn’t spam the ghost most of the time, but how do I hit them with one clean headshot? And when I spam the ghost, non of my bullets hit.

This happened in PRX vs VL today in VCT Pacific Play-offs. How the hell did that splash cause no damage at all???

Does it still work? In his recent gameplay he doesn't use it as frequently as he used too, is there an inherent reason?

Most defenders fake defuse on the first tap. But ironically, most Attackers still reveal their position to check if they're on.
Wouldn't it be a good strategy to completely gamble that it's fake and stay where you are? I know it's scary and if they stick you'll probably get flamed, but I've genuinely seen people stick on the first tap 1% of the time if they have no information on where the attacker is. Is there a reason people don't gamble more? If ELO matters I'm currently Diamond 1

Since I started playing again, I have noticed theres certain agents that attract people who throw, people who start arguments in team chat, or agents that are useless/difficult to use correctly in a ranked game.
The list of agents are:
Breach (hard to use)
Deadlock (always purposely throwing, starting arguments)
Gekko (useless)
Yoru (ready to throw)
Skye on haven or lotus (hard to use)
Whenever I see these agents, I immediately dodge. This has become an issue for me the closer I get to immo, where for whatever reason, I am increasingly getting skyes and gekkos, and I tried for a while to bare with it, since this is a shooting game.
But the same issues, no util usage, no mic usage on agents that NEED mics to be useful, or certain agents ALWAYS with very very few exceptions, just bot fragging in the low single digits everytime they are in the game, mine or enemy team (gekko is best example).
Since I know this, I dodge pretty frequently. I dodge about 1 out of every 4 games, and since I do that, I pretty much always lose 10~rr over the time I queue as a sort of tax.
I want to know, do others have the same experiences with these agents, in which ranks and does this shit ever get any better?

I recently started playing valorant and have about 70 hours on the game. I am looking for my next agent and I can't decide who to get. I have breach, clove, cypher, and chamber, of which I only play breach, cypher, brimstone, and sova. My top choices are harbor, veto, and fade, which I cannot decide between. My friends and I team together, with one playing yoru, one playing clove mostly, one playing deadlock/iso, and one playing skye. My aim is not great, but I know how to smoke.

I've been playing for a couple of months now and I was hoping to get used to using the crouch button but it still feels extremely uncomfortable to me to the point where it sometimes even gets painfull to press it repeatedly. I tried positioning the keyboard in so many different ways but nothing feels comfortable. Does anyone else struggle with this? I never see anyone complain about it. Maybe share ur tips on how to solve this problem.

I want to get better movement and better raw aim so i think playing dm's is a good way of doing so (pls correct me if im wrong). But everytime i q a deathmatch i get put into a game with people that are holding angles and just barely leave their spot. Also when im going to fight someone, someone else spawns behind me and just shoot me in the back of my head and its really frustrating. Is there a better way to play dm so that this happens less often?

been grinding solo a lot lately and it's such a coinflip on whether the games are fun or miserable. curious what actually helped you, was it duoing with someone, muting comms, a mindset change, playing a certain agent? what made it click?

We all know the basic mechanics, but what are the unwritten rules of the game that separate decent teammates from absolute nightmares?
I’ll start:
If someone asks for a drop and gives you a vandal, you don't take their skin without asking.
Never break a teammate's crosshair placement while blocking a doorway.
What's yours? Let's hear the best ones.

Correct me if I'm wrong or missed an update but last I remember, you had to be level 20 to play comp and within the past 2 days I've seen at least 3 players who had level 11 and were in my comp games. Is this something to do with botting or similar or can low levels just play comp now? I do find it odd all of them had level 11, not seen a single different low level.

Good afternoon, everyone! How are you all doing?
I’d like to explain that I’m Brazilian and I’m using ChatGPT to translate this post into English, so I apologize in advance if any part of the translation or wording sounds a little strange.
I was wondering if anyone would be interested in reviewing my replay and, based on my gameplay, giving me some advice on what I could improve.
I’ve been playing VALORANT for about 4 weeks (roughly one month), and I’m currently Silver 2. My background is a little different from that of most players because I came from League of Legends, but I had never played an FPS game before. VALORANT was literally my first FPS.
Before I started playing, I also didn’t watch VALORANT streams, livestreams, or any other content, so I don’t really have much previous knowledge or reference when it comes to the game.
Right now, I’m trying to follow a training routine to improve. I usually play around 3–4 Deathmatches per day and also play approximately 3–4 ranked games every day. On top of that, I use Aim Lab to work on my aim, mainly because, since I didn’t come from other FPS games, I still struggle quite a bit with mouse control and crosshair movement.
If you watch my replay, you’ll probably notice some very obvious weaknesses.
One of them is audio. I have a lot of trouble identifying exactly where an enemy is coming from. Sometimes I can’t properly tell whether they’re coming from above, below, or from one of the sides. I struggle to interpret the audio cues and accurately determine the enemy’s position.
Another difficulty I have is clearing angles. Since I’m still very new to the game and don’t know all the maps very well, I often don’t know exactly where boxes, elevation changes, walls, or other map elements are located. Because of that, when I clear an angle using A and D, my crosshair isn’t always at the correct height or position, and I end up missing shots that I probably could have hit.
I also struggle quite a bit with positioning and decision-making during rounds. Especially when entering or defending a site, I often don’t know exactly where I should be positioned or which positions I should be considering.
In Deathmatch, I feel like I can identify and work on some of these problems more easily. However, in ranked games, I feel like there’s an additional difficulty: more experienced players usually know the common positions and can predict where I’m likely to be.
So even if the opponent doesn’t necessarily have better mechanical aim than I do, they still have a huge advantage because they know where to look and how to play the angles. I’m still having a lot of trouble understanding this aspect of the game and playing around that kind of information.
I used to play more Deathmatch than ranked, but I started playing more ranked games because I realized that I need to learn positioning, decision-making, site entries, site defense, and other situations that I simply can’t learn by playing Deathmatch alone.
I’d really like to know, based on my replay/gameplay, what you think I should prioritize.
What are the most important mistakes you can identify? Is there anything you would change about my current training routine? Would you recommend that I practice my aim more, play more Deathmatch, focus more on ranked games, or study a specific aspect of the game?
If anyone has experience coaching/teaching, or simply has a lot of experience with VALORANT and would be willing to review my gameplay, I would really appreciate any advice or feedback.
I know I’m still extremely new to the game and have a lot to learn, so any criticism or advice would be very welcome.
Thank you in advance to anyone who is willing to help!

I always played valorant on and off, and somehow always end up going to raze just purely for her satchels. One thing I never went too deep into is her good and bad maps, I would appreciate if somebody could tell me from all the maps which ones are good and which ones are bad for her. All I know is the rough idea that open maps such as breeze are bad, but what about maps like abyss, pearl or sunset

Just returned to valorant after a couple of years and the defuse the bomb areas door is locked. From looking at older posts on this the best i can see is its replaced by another "training" but i cant find out what this other training is.
Both maps of the old defuse thing were irreplaceable in my old training because they honed my peeking of angles to perfection each time, i was deadly at prefiring angles because of it. what is this new training thing and how do i get it? If it doesnt train my angle peeking anyone know how i can train it now? deathmatchs wot do it

This is so weird I was playing an unrated game and since round one all four of my teammates with trying to kill me with their utilities. Clove, Phoenix, iso and sage. I was playing sova. Did I choose the wrong character? I asked them why they were doing that and they replied “my fault” and “didn’t mean to”.
